Vanessa/Victor/Ethan - the parallels!! The intimacy! The trust! I love it. I am saying so little about this ship here because I have too many thoughts.

Dorian/Angelique - I simply choose to not see s2ep8. It didn’t happen, what do you mean? Everything is fine. Much of their story was really soft and light and it was a welcome change of pace from how heavy this show normally is, and that’s the part I’m focusing on. And Angelique did say she could love him despite his failings, even if he didn’t believe her.

Sir Malcolm/Happiness - look just give the guy a break already. And also a partner who’s not a centuries-old evil witch! That’s all I ask

Lily/World domination - I think she deserves it. As a treat

Frankenstein’s Monster/A family - do they ever really decide on a name for him? Not where I’ve gotten to anyway. But regardless I think he just needs people to accept him and show him kindness. And also remove him from London and Victor to get a fresh start

IT’s been a year since I finished Penny Dreadful and I just finished rewatching season one and I’M so upset knowing the fate of all the characters I don’t wanna do this anymore :(

I marathoned Penny Dreadful season 2 in one day. That is not something I normally do, but let me tell you. Let me just tell you.

This is SUCH A GOOD SERIES. All right, I enjoyed season 1, thought they had a little more sex than necessary, gave you closure a little too easily, and the season finale felt sort of rushed. Season 2? THE BEST. MUCH better pacing, MUCH more balanced, AND OH GODS THE ACTING. It’s... it’s just so goddamn good.

But why, Penny Dreadful? Why do you want to hurt me...? And yet, why will I come back when I know you’ll hurt me more in season 3...?
