Have you read my post of how Robbie and I really started courting? It was during the holiday season. I was apparently completely oblivious to Robbie’s attraction to me until one night that pissed him off so much he yelled it right into my ear, “I LOVE YOU, SPORTAKOOK!” He ran away and it took me a minute for it to sink in  what he just said. Then the feelings I had for him [for so long] finally made sense. I didn’t want to be friends with him, I wanted to be his boyfriend!!! So I ran after him and caught him closing the lid to his lair and he just stared at me with this hurt look and I stared at him like a dear in headlights, and he started to close the lid, but I ran up to him. He let me cup his cheeks, and he started to complain how cold my fingers were when I kissed him. I felt him melt in my arms and my heart thumped like never before. 💙

Hi there, I'm trying to write a fanfic but I'm struggling a little, do you have any suggestions? I know that's kind of broad but I'm having a little trouble trying to write Sports because, well, his name is Sportacus and he back flips through the scenery. It's a little surreal, X3

To write Sporty watch a lot of the show. Honestly, to write any of them watch a lot of the show. You get a sense of their voice, their mannerisms, the way they act, you know? I get a sense from Sportacus that he is very well meaning, kind, exuberant, and doesn’t speak in a very flowery way. He speaks very plainly and honestly. He loves to help people and doesn’t expect the people he helps to owe him. He’s afraid of letting people down and feels responsible when he can’t help. Once you’ve written enough of him the name ‘Sportacus’ won’t bother you at all.

 The flips and stuff you don’t necessarily have to mention, you know? I usually have him do other things, like run. He’s very active but you don’t have to write him moving in exactly the same way he does in the show. Just show his body language in another way. He puts his hands on his hips a lot, and he usually comforts people physically as well as verbally. His body language when he isn’t moving around is actually very subdued! If you compare it to Robbie, he’s very mellow. Think about that instead of the flipping.

Aw poor Leland, that sounds like kind of a bad time!

James never minded the dark all that much even as a kid (and as an adult he actually prefers dimly-lit environments because his eyes are sensitive! He can see perfectly well in the dark.), but he was terrified of thunderstorms. As an adult they still make him a bit uneasy, although he's thankfully not having panic attacks about it the way he did when he was younger.

I love your take on Oropher, elves in general, and the elf dads wearing the baby backpacks make me so happy whenever I see it (they're just so fucking cute, ohmygosh).
