keep posting friends. There is a severe lack of sea creature community, and I think we deserve forums and events and rep just as much as any creature. I find it near impossible to think there’s hardly any known groups of sea monsters/creatures in comparison to dragons, fae, vamps, or weres. there’s so much good we can do for eachother and the world (especially with US marine life protections under threat!) just by sharing our experiences and educating (or not, your not obligated to educate because you exist.)

So this is a message to you, if you're freaking out over something similar, look to humanoid things such as sirens, mermaids, vampires, fairies, hell even werewolves typically have a human form!

There's also the matter of fictionkin, so if none of those match don't let that get you down.

Remember alterhuman means your identity differs from the usual understanding of humanity, alterhuman also doesn't necessarily mean nonhuman

OOC, Note about siren culture:

Sirens believe that those who can harmonize are the most compatible for relationships. It's very common to serenade someone you wish to have as your mate, and if they're interested, they'll join in. You'll sing together, and if you can harmonize, it's considered to be a sign that you'll have a strong relationship.

Sirens aren't part of a society that enforces monogamy, so "choirs" of sirens all in one relationship displaying their compatibility and love aren't uncommon. Singing together is considered a typical bonding activity.

Sirens who are good at harmonizing with many different types of voices are considered more attractive.

It's basically like astrological sign compatibility.
