Castle Crags on a hazy afternoon in Mount Shasta Country. Elevations range from 2,000 feet at its base along the Sacramento River to more than 6,000 feet at the tallest crag. It stands just west of Interstate 5 between Dunsmuir and Castella, along the old Siskiyou Trail, a significant route during The Gold Rush.
