My roman empire is that Sister was nervous to come out to her brothers. What must have been going through her head? The fear that her brothers would see her as defective? That the Jedi wouldn't want to put in extra effort on a single clone? The fears that almost every trans person has felt in their lifetime?
But my roman empire is also that they were unsubstantiated fears. That everyone canonically accepted her. What if her brothers hugged her and told her that no matter who she was she was still family, as all clones are. I wonder if they would try and figure out ways to make her life easier whilst still juggling the life of a soldier? They started calling her Sister to make sure every brother and every general and CO knew the real her, and that they supported the real her. What if while they were waiting for her hair to grow out, her squad helped her find wigs? What if they were her moral support when she asked her superiors if she would be allowed to take E? What if they stole a vocal emulator for her to help her voice sound more feminine? What if they helped her paint her armour the colours of the trans flag? What if they didn't exclude her from all the things they used to do before and continued to treat her as one of them, only now a Sister rather than a brother? What if they all had a laugh together when they realised that their Jedi generals already KNEW this about Sister before even she did, the Force is a weird kriffin' thing, huh? What if they helped her figure out the easiest ways to quickly put on her helmet once her hair had grown out? What if Disney took this story and actually told it via a show? How would the real Sisters of the world feel to see themself represented in one of the biggest franchises of all time?
Its so beautiful to me that they all canonically accepted her, but that she was still allowed to be afraid they wouldn't. It may not be tdov anymore but I think we can extend it a little longer to salute our girl Sister. 🫡
