i was appalled by the CGI in this film, could barely concentrate :/
Oh :O I thought it looked fine. There were some scenes where I could tell that the background was fake because the human characters didn't blend well with it, but 90% of the effects looked good to me. I was especially impressed with Smaug and the barrel scene. I also thought that the CGI landscapes looked breathtaking.
But I'm also someone who doesn't usually have anything against the use of CGI unless it's super excessive like in most Michael Bay movies. So I guess I'm not that easily distracted by it.

I agree 100% on the Bilbo and Smaug scenes having been a bit overlength, especially considering that the movie is really, really really long. About the Beorn scene, however, I have to say I adored it - all those details omg
I did like the Beorn scene, but it felt like it's the one scene that could have been cut and the movie wouldn't have lost much. The jump from Beorn's house to the edge of Mirkwood felt really fast :S
But I loved the design of Beorn's house. Just like I loved the Master's house in Laketown and Thranduil's home.

I’m obsessed. Its real shame I have’nt read the book, but I’m going to! Dwarves, their spirit strength … and Elves and the whole Middle Earth with all those gorgeous details !!! *_*
I've read The Hobbit a handful of times, but not as often as I've read the LotR trilogy. I used to read it every year around Christmas time, but this year I was distracted by the Thor fandom :P

i love ghost stories, they’re so exciting… in a slightly traumatizing way. i mostly love the fact that i can share with whomever i’m talking to my own stories without feeling like an idiot.
My grandma's sister has seen lots of spirits and I always loved listening to her ghost stories. And when we moved to the house where my parents currently live, my mom experienced some strange things for the first six months.
It was mostly doors opening and closing and one night she woke up and saw a man standing at the open door of their bedroom, wearing an old top hat. And she had brought my great-grandpa's old top had inside from the storage the previous day and the hat was on the table in their bedroom that night. I think it might have been sleep paralysis or something similar though.
But all the weird things ceased one afternoon when my mom heard the front door open and close loudly. After that, everything's been normal.

Spooky! D: I’m Christian so I believe in all of the spoops and spiruts. Sounds creepy but intriguing. o u o
I don't deny that there isn't something out there that our limited senses can't perceive, but I myself have never seen anything strange. I also doubt that whatever my parents and their friends saw was the Devil himself :D Maybe a poltergeist or something? After all, it was a room full of pre-teens and teenagers.

Three knocks. Mocking of the trinity.
I asked my mom about it today and she mentioned the door also opened and closed after the knocks and then the light appeared on the wall.

SAME. not even fanmail is safe anymore :/
Yeah :( I haven't used regular asks for a long time unless someone sends me one and I reply to it, but now even fan mail isn't safe -___-

I added outbox after a friend suggested it, then the message will be there and you can copy and send it again
It's a useful feature but it seems that it doesn't work with the fan mail problem I'm having. The message never gets saved to my outbox because it seems it's never sent anywhere, Tumblr just deletes it.

I had the same thing last 2-3 times when I was sending you fan-mails. And I thought that my messages were sent, now I’m not that sure. o_О
I always respond to the messages I get so if you don't heard back from me for 1 to 2 days, I probably didn't get your message :(
