Reframing the Old Republic Era Sith Order
Okay so I been wanting to write this and I’m finally going to.
Im only going to be talking about the Old Republic Sith Order because Bane’s Order is an totally different beast.
I’ll be real, I think people approach the Sith Order with the same mentality as they approach the Jedi Order so they act like the Sith serve the same purpose in the Empire that the Jedi serve in the Republic.
Bitch that the case at all. Let me explain simple as possible:
The Jedi Order are led by the Republic Military and Government
The Sith Order lead the Imperial Military and have a bigger influence in Imperial Government.
The Jedi Order RARELY has to have any real control of anything important in the Republic, they do what they told to and keep to themselves.
Meanwhile, the Sith Order has to actually get their hands dirty and maintain order—all the while existing in an extremely competitive field where every other Sith wants what you have.
In the Old Republic, a Sith Lord is an actual lord like mfs be lording over shit. A Jedi barely do shit of any importance—in comparison.
Do a Jedi own a whole fleet? No.
Do a Jedi gotta micromanage all the bullshit of the imperial machine? No.
Do a Jedi have to maintain a complicated web of control of factions and cliques within sections of the Empire? No.
Dawg, if I’m a Sith, I’m going to be a no failure, “listen or you die” mf because if I allow bullshit to occur, it explodes and hurts the empire than that falls all on me.
Y’all be judging the Sith Order as if they ain’t all tryna keep the Empire going and fight each other—and the Jedi— all at the same time.
The Jedi don’t even run shit in the Republic they work for, they just chill on they planets, occasionally coming out to do some petty shit that the Republic can’t.
Yeah, sorry one of the stressful—but most powerful—careers in the whole Old Republic breeds ruthless, opportunist, cold hearted mfs and not peaceful, “let’s all get along and sing songs😊” ass mfs.
Bitch, you make a Jedi Master do everything that a Sith Lord gotta do on a daily basis for a month and that Jedi would become a “darksider” real quick.
Y’all judge the Sith Lords because they don’t have the luxury of not contributing barely anything to their society—the Jedi do nothing but mediate in their government assigned buildings and planets looking dusty and still falling to the “darkside” because they felt anger and stress once for a few minutes.
