Today we are eight days out from the photoshoot in @newyork city and I’m pleased with my progress over the last month. . But the other day someone asked, “how does this compare to other hard fat loss cuts you’ve done?” . Frankly, it’s been a bitch. Admittedly, my workload is much higher with my businesses than it has been in the past. I’m more stressed. I’m generally less active, and spend more time writing than running around the gym and burn a few hundred calories less than I did preparing for other photo shoots. . Personally, I’ve had to confront these issues. How am I sleeping? How can I manage stress? How can I sneak more activity into my day? How can I stick to this and not be #hangry and neglect my relationships? . The last month has been a stark reminder that every goal, whether it’s building your best body or your dream business comes with sacrifices, twists and turns, and constant adjustment. . The road isn’t straight, it’s a winding dirt road filled with obstacles to throw you off your game. The key to succeeding? Staying present in the moment. I’ve found myself asking, “will this bring you closer to your goals, or are you chasing short-term gratification instead of long term success?” More than anything else, remember that it’s not going to be easy. Anything worth building, whether it’s your dream body or your fitness business, is going to come with its share of challenges. Good. Accept them. Plow through them. And keep going. Everything you want lies on the other side of hard work and persevering until you’ve completed the task. Once you’ve accepted the road ahead, then you can make it happen. .
