That ‘70s Show authors and artists, the time to sign up for the 2018 Zenmasters Anthology is coming to a close, so please contact us if you’re interested in participating this year.
For the 2018 edition of the Zenmasters Anthology, we will be writing a collection of stories where Jackie and Hyde are physically separated from each other. They must be unable to meet in-person for the majority of the story, although other means of communication are allowed (e.g., phone calls, speaking to each other through a locked door, etc.). Each story will be based on a different prompt.
A few examples of still-available prompts:
Zombie Apocalypse: a horde of zombies stands between Jackie and Hyde.
Fairy Tale (#2): Hyde is under a curse that makes him appear like a beast (or a frog or whatever you choose as long as it puts Hyde at a severe disadvantage in life). He lives as a recluse in his house (or castle), and only true love’s kiss can set him free.
Vacation: Hyde and Jackie meet and fall in love at a vacation destination. They keep in touch via letters, but every time they try to reunite, something gets in the way (e.g., a friend, a tragedy, weather, a missed flight, etc.)
Birthday Breakdown: Hyde or Jackie is having a milestone birthday, and the other person’s method of transportation (e.g., car, bus, etc.) breaks down on the way to the party.
Sickness: Jackie or Hyde is sick (e.g., a cold, the flu, etc.), and the other person can’t afford to catch the illness because s/he has an important event coming up.
