I hope you enjoy this! If you need to find the beginning or any chapter, refer to the links at the bottom of the post!
And if you prefer to read on AO3, click on this!
Chapter Four: Strecrets
You woke up to your 3 AM alarm, groaning. You weren’t able to sleep all that much with work and your homework last night, at least you got a solid… three hours? You knew that wasn’t nearly enough, but it was better than nothing like most days.
I think it's finally time I decide what this account is for smh
I think I'll go with
Having it be for info of my fanfiction(s?) and lore blurbs and the like
My current story - which is only in the planning stages - is an undertale au story, heavily inspired by @oolongteacup426 and @absurdmageart 's stories (The House on Lane 66 and Making a Monster, respectively)
Go check them out! Both have good storylines, character development, plot twists, and more! I can't do them justice with my words, but they're so good!
~ ♡ ~
Here are the summaries from ao3 to pique your interest!
●The House on Lane 66 -
You just started your last year of college and you need a job. Badly.
When a wanted ad online leads you to the forests surrounding Mt. Ebott, to a giant, brick house full of monsters, you wonder if this might be worth it. Some of these monsters seem alright; friendly, even.
Others - downright terrifying.
...but you really need this job.
(more tags will be added as the story updates; i'm sorry they kind of seem all over the place I'm not good at tags)
(Note: I've decided to raise the story rating from mature to explicit due to some of the heavier themes and sexual content in later chapters. Thank you for understanding!)
●Making a Monster -
Sometimes life throws you a curveball. For you, your curveball was going to bed looking like a human, and waking up looking like a monster.
A skeleton monster to be precise.
With the barrier breaking, a large surge of magic descended on the town you live in, and transformed you overnight. Unsure what to do with you, and the others changed, you're ushered into a facility until a monster with similar magic can take you to teach you how to wield the now uncontrollable magic you've been given. After waiting in this place for four years, you'd given up hope that anyone would ever want to take you.
What a surprise for you when you find out that someone does. A lot of someones.

Oooo, interesting, right?
Oops hold on
To keep this from getting too long, I'll finish it with this;
-Go check out those stories! I'm not hyping them up for no reason!
-If you're interested in coming with me on this funky journey as I struggle to write something good, feel free to hit that follow button or smth! I'm open to asks about my in-progress story and any ideas that folks are willing to share! (I plan on writing out the first five chapters before posting any of them, mostly bc I just know it'll take me a while to get them out in a timely manner)
I can't stop thinking of fic ideas involving a friend and the OC ending up in Undertale
Which one do you think is the best trope/your favorite and why?
I actually wanna know for research purposes and because I really love talking to you guys when I can, makes me feel less like a weirdo hidden in the corner of an antique store
- YN being best friends with one of the Papyri or Sanses that after they lose their home, they invite YN to stay at their place with their "cousins?"
- YN working at Grillby's or Muffet's and they meet one of the Papyri or Sanses and from there strange interactions and friendships bloom (with the end resulting in romance)
- Y/N is friends with a pair of brothers and has to confront them when they suddenly seem agitated about an "unexpected visit from their cousins"
- YN is living with their roommate and their "multiple partners" because of money issues and this leads to a slow burn where you may or may not befriend the others or something more
- Similar to the one above except you're new when moving in and maybe something changes like you being friends at first with the human or that you're working for them with or without the other human appearing
- The last flavor of the roommate trope like above EXCEPPTTT there's not another human involved so the characterization changes dramatically. (I'm looking at you There's Still Magic when it comes to Vanilla/Sans😭 love you though)
- Something else entirely where the plot may involve the same or less amount of skeletons that can follow that "anti-harem" trope but it doesn't involve roommates or at least has a creative difference that makes it unique!
OKAY SOOO, for my creative writing class i turned in an undertale fic (papyrus and my oc) and i wanted to officially upload it it ao3 BUT idk if i should turn it into an x reader or not, and if i should just make it a papyrus x reader or turn it into a whole skeleton harem. plesde help
there’s a local commercial advertising an ice skating rink, where a guy is trying to ask a girl if she wants to go, but the phone keeps auto-correcting, so you don’t know what he’s trying to say until the very end
one of the messages he accidentally sends is “nice skeleton” and i’m laughing so hard
Our lovely protagonists, skin boy and childhood friend skeleton
