Attention fellow ghesties & slasher fans!
AO3 has been having trouble recently (DDoS attack), so I figure now is a good time to tell you about Squidgeworld!
It's basically an AO3 clone (made with the same software), and the organization behind it (Squidge.org, which has been around for about as long as I have) has recently become a non-profit. It's a good place to crosspost your fic, and to find other fics to read. Consider making an account there!
There's also image hosting (so you can post the "spicier" art that typically gets flagged on here), podfic hosting (using jinjurly), webhosting, and mailing lists.
It's all worth checking out!
😍😩
a comic for some of the shit (affectionate) I see going on in slasher fanbases and such
and we're both right.
(image description start: a ghoulish person with a missing nose and glowing eyes in a flowing robe, pajama pants and slippers labeled "some of ya's" sits next to a person with a potted plant for a head, draped in a blanket labeled "Me" on a couch, with a tv in front of them, the first panel has the words "watching a slasher" floating over the 2. the next panel has the words "He's hot" floating above them, with 2 white lines indicating they are both saying it. the final panel shows thought bubbles coming from each character, with the ghouls bubble showing them getting strangled by a generic masked slasher with the word "harder" surrounded by hearts and the panting emoji next to them, and the potted plants containing an image of the same slasher laying on the floor in fetal position, crying, as the potted plant stands behind him with a glint for an eye, and a baseball bat raised above their head. image description end)
hey darlings. i felt the need to address something since it seems to be such a big thing in our community right now but there is a DIFFERENCE between us slasher lovers and people who romanticize real life serial killersヽ(`д´;)/
these slashers are not real. we are not condoning what they’ve done. we are not wishing to partake in what they’ve done. they are fiction characters in fictional movies. a lot of us find comfort in these characters for one reason or another so please for the love of everything do NOT compare us to people who romanticize actual irl killers !!!!!!!
Wrong Turn (2003)

Today in supernatural horror / slasher movie history: on November 17, 1988 Child's Play debuted in Argentina.
Here's some Chucky art to mark the occasion!
Slasher fans: *singing at Freddy* Why don’t you do right-
Slasher fans: *point at Jason* -Like some other men do?
Freddy: I’ve watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit, bitches.
