guys it’s august 6. no word yet on slash madness this year? my post has been getting reblogs but nobody has any answers. has it been cancelled? i know there was controversy about voting methods the last two years...

Ookay, I just want to share my excitement and happiness, because Sterek won this years Slash Madness. I have to admit that in the third round I lost hope that we could win, but we beat Destiel (sorry lovelies, if anyone else but sterek won, i wish it was you) and then we won the final round! Yayyyy! So proud♥

Not only did Sterek win this year's Ultimate Slash Madness Tournament (which was so incredible. So many people coming together beautifully to support our OTP. To make our voices be heard, to broadcast our love and loyalty for these two characters; a love that keeps strong no matter what hard times we're facing.) but the Backlot guys are showcasing *my* doodle on the article!!

I don't think I can properly express how excited I am! Thanks to everyone who voted for Sterek, THANKS to the people from Backlot for this lovely, incredible surprise!

Congratulations Sterek Fandom!

While the final round was definitely not the battle that Round 3 was, we still stuck with it and won the Ultimate Slash Tourney. This is our second win and this one means just as much as the first one did.

Just like we did two years ago, we've proven that we cannot be trampled on or pushed under a rug. We're loud, we're proud and we're not going anywhere.

We want to thank everyone that participated and showed support with votes, reblogs, tags and tweets. We've been keeping up on them and you can't imagine the joy it brings us.

We're so proud to be a part of a fandom that does such amazing things. You rock <3

Just wanted to say you've been a goddamn inspiration during this slash tournament thing :) It's so good seeing this fandom still kicking ass!

Thank you so much! I’m just so proud of all of us. That in the third year of the tournament this is the second time we’ve made it to the final four. (I think the only other ships that can claim that are Sterek and Destiel so we’re in mighty fine company!) We are an amazing fandom with such an awesome ship that here we are five years later with so many people still supporting them, still flying the flag, and still making noise for McShep.
