This site has a lot of nifty features installed I haven’t seen on other sites or apps before. There are the standard features – food log, exercise log, groups – but there’s also a Challenges feature where you join challenges with other SlimKicker members, and an inspiration feed (think twitter update or Facebook status) to share your progress or difficulties with SlimKicker friends.
Food logging: really easy search. Pulls up several options and you can find the best match. It’s one of the nicest I've found.
Exercise logging: always tricky and a bit of a pain with any site or app. Too many variables with your weight, your intensity, the weight you used, multiple muscle group activation. Used in conjunction with the SlimKicker tracker will provide more accuracy.
Points: the site has a point system set up in which you earn more points for more difficult challenges accomplished, for making healthy food choices, exercising, etc.
Challenges: challenges can be filtered by type (willpower, nutrition, fitness, emotional, etc.) and difficulty level (1-20). There are also user created challenges and giveaway challenges to be entered in a raffle for cool prizes.
Creations: you have the ability to create your own exercises, recipes, and challenges to help with your fitness goals.
Rewards: at the top of site, alongside your name, SlimKicker level, points, etc., you can post a photo of your next reward for reaching a certain accomplishment (which you set), giving you a little extra incentive when you visit your profile.
Overall, it’s a nice site with a good set up that will help keep you on track with your fitness goals by providing a community of like minded individuals.
