The importance of this song is fairly obvious: it's a tearing-down of the Hollywood glamour veil. She's saying that it's not perfect and there are always new people who are trying to knock you down. However, it's also important because she doesn't say she's leaving, she says she understands that it's not all it always seemed to be. She's saying she loves what she does enough to get through all of the shit that the media throws at her, which I think really demonstrates the kind of person she is.
