Bird Squad Headcanons

There's a certain group of Gods I sometimes call the bird Squad. Either because they're crazy about their birds, or they literally are birds. Here's some stupid stuff for them.

- Aphrodite and The Morrigan are the founders of this little club. They saw each other as competition before, since they're both a couple of bad bitches, but one day one of Morrigan's ravens started playing with one of Aphrodite's doves. They've been besties ever since.

- The Morrigan and Odin sometimes mistake each other's ravens. This is fine though. They've become fast friends. The All-Father reminds The Morrigan of the Dagda, and Odin is very happy to have someone who loves these little babies as much as he does.

- Ra, Horus and Thoth have been invited to join the group on several occasions. Ra is busy pulling the sun around the sky. Thoth thinks it's stupid. Horus joins them on occasion when he isn't dealing with his shit head uncle.

- Whenever Horus joins the party, the group try to treat him out to something nice. He needs rest. Just let him take a nap.

- Isis has also been invited to join, but she got really offended when they invited her. She's not just some stinky old bird!

- After that comment she was never invited again and often gets glares from the group.

- Hera's peacocks can be found following the group sometimes. How did they get there? Why are they following the people in the group around like lost puppies? It's a mystery.

- Hera is, understandably, upset about this. She gets rather distraught when her precious beautiful baby birds are missing and even more upset now that rumors have come out that she's a bad pet owner. She's not a bad owner! They're just very stupid peacocks!

- They're just following Aphrodite around because she always gives them the good bird food. Even though Hera gives them the same food.

- Sun Wukong has, shockingly, joined the group as well. It's mainly because he can turn into an eagle, but also because he's a super chill dude and the birds love him.

- They have a very popular YouTube channel where they post vlogs and guides on what birds you should get, what food to buy them, how to groom them, what environment they'll like the most, etc.

- Hera will admit over her dead body, but she's subscribed, has notifications turned on, and watches their videos quite often.

- Aphrodite caught her watching one of their "How To" videos on DIY bird feeders and has been sworn to secrecy. She now posts at least one video about Peacocks every two weeks.

- Odin was actually gifted his ravens by Hel. He always gives her a shout-out in his videos.

- Hou Yi has been banned from their group for... Obvious reasons.

- Sun Wukong introduced Jing Wei to the group and now The Morrigan is mother birding the hell out of her. Jing Wei is sometimes a guest star in their videos.

- Those videos are, coincidentally, their most popular.

- Nike and Athena were invited to join the group. Nike gladly accepted and Athena was soon to follow. Aphrodite, surprisingly, adores having Athena in the group.

- Aphrodite has a small crush on Athena. She's so strong and brave and smart and pretty and she has a nice voice and that nice thick accent and she's not Ares (that's the most important bit). She thinks she's hiding it very well.

- She is not.

- Athena doesn't actually own any Owls. They all just flock to her. She often wakes up with her bed full of tiny fluffy owls and owl babies. She loves it but sHE HAS A REPUTATION DAMN IT!

- Parent owls leave their babies with Athena sometimes because they trust her to be a good babysitter. She has no idea what she's doing so she goes to Aphrodite for help.

- The babies fall asleep in Athena's soft hair. She can't move because she'll wake the, but she has things to do!

Smite God Head-cannons

Artemis can sing, she does duets with Apollo when no one is watching. If you catch her singing, you will likely die.

Apollo hits on every new got that enters the battleground. After he gets rejected(almost every time), he races Mercury on his sun chariot. 

Chronos stops time during Mercury and Apollo’s races.

Bacchus has human police reports for Public Intoxication with the words “Popeye’s Chicken Debris” on every single one of them

when Gods try to hit on Artemis, she shows them Tusky’s missing horn and threatens them with it.

Osiris and Ravana are best friends. Don’t ask me how, they just are. I don’t make the rules.

Terra loves everyone...except Odin. “Allfather” her ass...

Tyr and Osiris talk about phantom pains together. 

All of the Sun/Light Gods have a brunch every Saturday. The only one who ever missed a session was  

All the Night/Moon Gods let Artemis join in their weekly dinner plans, even if she’s not explicitly a Might/Moon Goddess. 

Xbalanque, Mercury, Loki, and Ravana have soccer games all the time.

💰Fafnir🐉:

Fafnir doesn't really like physical touch and probably hasn't had that for quite sometime.

Considering he isolated himself after turning into a dragon.

So in conclusion he would decline you.

If you had anything on you that was valuable, he would most definitely accept your hug, but expect your items to be stolen.

🔥Fenrir🐺:

It really depends on who you are to him, if you are a stranger he would most likely just ignore your request, or threaten to eat you up.

He has some very bad trust issues too, which is why he doesn't like hugging strangers. He feels uncomfortable.

Plus he really doesn't like ruining his reputation of being this scary deadly wolf that eats everything in his path.

He does on occasion hug his family and secretly really enjoys hugs. It makes his tail wag uncontrollably.

💛⚔️Freya⚔️💛:

Freya would definitely accept your hug but be a little confused on why you'd want it from her.

She tends to expect, because she's a love and beauty goddess that people would want kisses more, than hugs from her.

Which she then usually would turn down and feel offended by.

But either way, since you asked for a hug. She is happy to show some affection that way to make someone's day. She honestly she prefers hugs too.

🌈Heimdallr📯:

The answer is yes! Heimdall loves giving out hugs and pats on the backs to anyone who asks for it. Unless you're loki of course.

He finds a lot of joy in it and doesn't care if it's awkward, he in general just loves people and spending time with everyone.

Though admittedly if you were to become clingy, like physically clingy he would have to kindly ask you to stop. After all he has a job to do.

Though you continuing to be there with your presence always puts a smile on Heimdallrs face!

💛☠️Hel☠️💜:

Light Hel loves hugs more than anything and will always accept them no matter what!

She would also probably squeeze you to death accidentally too. Yes, she loves them that much.

She also loves physical touch, unlike dark Hel who despises it!

Dark Hel on the other hand, is so opposite. She despises hugs and hates it! She would much rather be violent.

💜Jormungandr🐍:

Like his siblings Jormungandr both likes hugs and dislikes them. So he would most likely not accept a hug, depending on who you are to him.

Mostly because of his huge size, I mean when you're a big serpent like him hugging a small tiny person, it wouldn't be that enjoyable.

Also because he doesn't trust anyone but his family, though it's not like they get that many hugs either. He only makes small exceptions, like to his younger brothers.

🗡️Loki🐍:

Though it's not smart to ask for a hug from this guy in the first place, he either declines you or accepts but tries to stab you.

Unless you're his family that is, he is very much like his kids not hugging anyone but his closest.

Though you'd be surprised to learn that he's secretly a very affactinate person.

Too bad his kids really don't like him in the smite universe, well expect for light hel!

⚔️Odin🐺:

Odin is a grumpy old man and doesn't like to but will exceptionally give hugs. Unless he is busy, if he's busy it's a no!

Neven though he does give out hugs time to time doesn't mean he enjoys them or really wants to.

But after all he is the All-Father! Though he finds it awkward at most. He doesn't want to make anyone upset.

In general Odin has never been the affectionate type, I mean ask his family and they'll tell you just that!

🐿Ratatoskr🌰:

Ratatoskr like Loki will either decline and probably tell you "I'm too cool to hug someone like you"

Or accept only to then try getting some information about yourself or someone else, rumors.

Anything that fills his thirst for drama, satisfies him and he'll do it.

He's also aware people will ask him for hugs because he's so cute so he'll most definitely manipulate you with that. DON'T TRUST THE RAT!

🌨Skadi❄:

Skadi has one rule, if you want to hug her you'll have to impress her. She's quite cold if you get what i mean.

She too has a little trust issues and so wouldn't just hug anyone, but doesn't see anything wrong in giving out a hug for just that simple reason you know.

She actually likes it a little, because it reminds her of the affection she had from her father before he was killed.

☀️Sol🔥:

Sol is like light hel, she just absolutely loves hugs and would accept anyone who offered one.

After being thrown into the sky with her brother Mani, she had been so starved on physical touch it just fills her with pure joy.

And fire, just remember to be careful when hugging her, she's the personification of the sun.

Her body is all fire, which is why she's also quite starved, it's not easy to end up burning up in her grip.

⚔️Surtr🔥:

It's a no sadly for you, he refuses hugs because it's as simple as "I just don't like them".

And because he's also made out of flaming hot stuff (haha get it) that could burn you and he doesn't want that.

Though he could just pat your head, after all he wears gloves. He honestly prefers that if anything.

⚡Thor🔨:

Thor unlike his father doesn't see anything wrong in a hug and accepts them!

Though be careful, the guy is quite strong and could break you in half if he's too drunk or too happy.

Besides from that he loves being affectionate! He's a big teddy bear :]

⚔️Tyr✋:

Tyr is another teddy bear! He loves hugs too and accepts them almost always, if he isn't busy that is.

Unlike Thor he knows his own strength and wouldn't want to bring anyone to harm.

So he is always gentle while giving them. Though he likes being playfully rough without actually hurting you!

⛷️Ullr🏹:

Not as fond of hugs Ullr would still accept them and even pat your head, he really doesn't mind.

It's just that he's never the one to give them, but if anyone asks of course he'll give them one!

They're also very nice to have after a long cold day, that's when he especially enjoys hugs!

He's jalso just nsecure it will be awkward if he asks for a hug, he's quite the loner and anti social person too.

❄Ymir🧊:

Ymir might have the the mind set of a toddler but even a toddler loves a hug now and then! And he is one of them.

Ymir loves giving anyone but Odin and Thor a hug, a big one at that.

He might accidentally squeeze you but it's never intentional and he does feel had if he actually hurts you!

Terra Headcanons

At long last I have risen from the grave to write about everyone's favorite mom!

-Terra fits quite snuggly in the "Looks like they could kill you, could actually kill you, but is actually a cinnamon roll" category. The most life endangering thing she can do to someone is give them a hug that's a bit too strong.

- In some tellings, Terra and Nox are sisters, so you better believe that Aunty Terra be spoiling her edgy little nieces and nephew! Nox is just grateful not to have to deal with their bullshit for a while.

- Speaking of spoiling, Scylla is actually considered to be a daughter of Typhon, Terra's last son. She's always felt guilty about creating a child to literally kill Zeus and nothing else and wants to give his children as great a life she can as a form of penance for never giving him a life.

- Scylla loves her grandmother Terra and is always happy to see her. Their time spent together usually involves visiting Typhon in his Volcano prison (though he can't really say much), shopping for toys and clothes, or just playing together at the beach.

- Terra has tried to bring her Olympian grandchildren together with her monster grandchildren so they can all be a big happy family. No one but Artemis, Athena, and Scylla showed up.

- Sidenote: Artemis is actually getting along really well with Scylla to everyone's surprise. They bonded over being red heads at first, but then Artemis started taking Scylla on hunts to bond more. At first it was just to please Terra, but now Artemis is practically on the verge of legitimately adopting Scylla and Scylla won't stop calling Artemis her "Big Sister".

- Terra is very happy about this.

- Terra loves all her grandchildren and great grandchildren unconditionally, except for Zeus and Poseidon. She's still trying to mend the relationship with Zeus (even though he locked away all her children and she tried to murder him with another child). However, the story with her and Poseidon is a bit more... Complicated.

- *Heads up, this is a pretty messed up story.*

- Poseidon raped Terra while she was in her century long sleep. Yeah no not even joking. Nobody really even knows how this was possible, but because of this unholy union, the monster Charybdis was born. Terra has never and probably will never forgive him for this.

- On a lighter note, Terra has been getting along very well with the other pantheons. She'll often be found having tea parties with Geb whenever she's in Egypt, gushing with Artio and the Celts about how cute and precious her granddaughter Artemis is, learning about humans and how they work from the Chinese and Hindu, and taste testing Hel's latest batch of cookies whenever she's up North.

- Terra has adopted Pele. Pele is really confused about this. Terra loves her lava daughter with all her heart. It's nice.

- Does not appreciate Hercules literally picking up and launching a chunk of her body as an Ultimate.

- Anyone who says they dislike Terra is either lying to seem cool, being paid to say it, or is truly a cold hearted bastard. Not even Chernobog can physically will himself to say he dislikes Terra.

- When they first met, Nu Wa clung to Terra. Just went into her snake form and wrapped herself around Terra and refused to let go. She loves Terra to an almost unhealthy degree. Terra appreciates the love and attention. I mean, Nu Wa did everything in her power to save Terra from being destroyed after the initial war of the Gods. Of course she'll cling to her beloved Earth Mom!

Athena: No, I just thought it'd be hot.

Arachne, stunned: Eh...Excuse me?

Athena, deadpanning: You heard me. I thought it'd be hot. I just really wanted you to step all over me with your eight legs.

Arachne, still shooketh: I... Wha... Huh???

Athena, winking and finger gunning at Arachne: I wasn't wrong either!

Medusa, sliding into them DMs: Well... That's fucking disgusting. I'm almost afraid to ask why you did this to me-

Athena: Cause I wanted you to literally crush me like a Python and just whisper all kinds of insults in my ear with that nice snake hissing voice.

Arachne: ...

Medusa: ...

Susano Headcanons

I can’t remember who requested this, but sorry it took so ungodly long.

-Susano is very prideful. He claims he could defeat his two siblings (Tsukyomi and Amaterasu) and his father all with one hand tied behind his back. But… only when his father isn’t around.

-Not very many gods like his company. he’ll usually brag about how strong he is and how cool his sword is. And he won’t. Shut. UP!

-Susano isn’t a big fan of people. They can be really annoying since they’re so fragile and weak. Plus they’re loud.

-Never ever go to Susano before he’s had some coffee in the morning. He can be very grumpy when he first wakes up, since it’s usually his sister who shines the sun directly into his face so he’ll get out of bed.

-Susano still holds onto a great resentment towards his sister. It’s really more of a sibling rivalry to see which one of them is superior, but there’s also some hints of true hatred sprinkled in there.

-For his stoic outward appearance he can actually get really emotional. Like, REALLY emotional.

-The first time he ever met his mother he was disgusted by her presence and stormed off. Then, during one battle Izanami got cornered on low health and Susano ran in to save her. He then started to cry. He tried to cover it up and when his mother asked why he was crying he said “I just met you. And I don’t want to lose you already.”

-Most of the time Susano can be found lazing around. He says it’s because he’s so strong that if he stresses himself too often he’ll probably start to get too worn out and seriously hurt.

-Susano is actually a great handyman. He once helped Amaterasu fix up her oven and even helped her build a pool for the summer. There were a few times where Amy (His little pet name for her) actually messed up while trying to help and Susano started to get angry and threatened to storm off. All Amy had to do was flash him a pair of puppy dog eyes and call him “The bestest big brother in the whole wide world” in a cutesy little voice and he immediately started to blush and get back to work.

-Susano has noticed his sister’s been abnormally nice to him after that. His theory? She’s obviously been replaced by some alien android who’s trying to steal his brain. Well the jokes on them! Susano goes to bed every night with his sword.

-Susano has a huge soft spot for birds. That’s why he’s usually hanging out with Jing Wei in his off time.

-She once accidentally called him dad and he’s never going to let her forget it. He’s just so happy! Whenever they’re together he’ll bombard her with dad jokes until she flies off.
