Haven’t watched the full transformers: robots in diguise show yet, but I watched a couple random episodes and clips while i finish up another show. BUT I HAVE A QUESTION REAL QUICK

For tfrid fans out there, is it confirmed or not whether bumblebee was originally supposed to be smokescreen or is it just a coincidence? Genuinely curious

I mean the big thing I’ve some people call out is bee kinda has the same structure as tfp smoke rather than tfp bee, but also I saw that arc thing where Optimus prime doesn’t think bee’s fit to lead the team, and in my mind from back in prime, bee seemed fine leading, everyone trusted him i think and yada. Also as a viewer I would disagree with prime’s logic cause i think bee’s all good, but I WOULD agree with prime’s logic should it have been smokescreen. That bot i would not trust lemme tell ya

But then again, i think both sides fit fine with their role in the team, on the opposite ends of the spectrum at least. From my very limited viewing experience, bee’s background is like his own cog in the team. He’s team primes trusted scout, he ain’t an elite guard like strongarm, he ain’t super flashy and out there like sideswipe, he ain’t all that goofy and fun like Grimlock, aaaand I…. Don’t know that much about drift yet BUT IM SURE THERE”S SOMETHING

Meanwhile Smokescreens the opposite, where he’s sort of a merge of the whole team. Elite guard, flashy, fun, and the other guy I think. Only issue being that him and strongarm have pretty much the same colour scheme.

Anywho, the possibility appeared to me and it’s been stuck in my head now. So I ask out of curiousity and give me closure.

Can you do TFP PTA autobots please?

Optimus Prime has totally got this. He’s polite and good at steering the conversation to only focus on important issues. The teachers love when he comes to the meetings because he pays no mind to any petty BS; he’s here to get business done in a timely and professional manner, and he’s such a natural leader that most people automatically listen to him. Bring him to PTA meetings.

Ratchet is gonna fight someone. Get your freaking kids vaccinated, Helen! His main concerns have to do with crappy school nurses (does anyone else have problems with just… really bad nurses??) bullying, and cafeteria food. Also, shouldn’t the kids be able to go outside more often? Cooping them up for seven hours a day isn’t good for their health. He’s the reason PTA meetings go for so late.

Bulkhead wants to know why Miko gets so much detention. These teachers obviously have it out for her! His little girl would never do the thing! “Psst Miko, did you do the thing?” Anyway, how is she doing in her classes? 

Bumblebee brags about Raf the whole time. ::Yes, he skipped grades and won the science fair two years in a row- did you know he can hack into the decepticon database? He’s a very smart boy!:: It doesn’t matter no one can understand him, he’s just so proud of his child.

Arcee sits uncomfortably the whole time. She lets June handle the meeting and tries very hard not to kill someone. The whole way home she’s having a salt-fest with Nurse Darby.

Wheeljack is getting hit on by all of the single ladies. He hangs awkwardly by the snack table, stuffing his face because Bulkhead said to let him handle this. Then someone makes a comment about Miko being a delinquent and he McFreaking Loses It. “YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH MY GIRL?”

Ultra Magnus is concerned. These textbooks are horribly outdated and some even include misinformation. He has a whole long list of flaws in the public school system and he and Ratchet have put together a POWER POINT PRESENTATION. All the students in attendance get up and clap at the end of it.

Smokescreen jumps onto the table and sings “Another Brick In The Wall.”

Smokescreen Ribs 1 cup Ketchup 1 can Cherry Pepsi 1/3 cup Balsamic Vinegar 2 tbsp Cherry Preserves 1 tbsp Brown Sugar 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper ½ tsp Cumin ¼ tsp Cinnamon 1 Onion 1 Clove Garlic 2 tbsp Vegetable oil.

Fry garlic and onion in vegetable oil. Add remaining and cook at low medium heat until thicken. Run through blender to pulverize onion and garlic and preserves.

Cook ribs in half the sauce in oven at 225 Fahrenheit for 3 hours and finish on BBQ for 15mins with remaining sauce.

More AU ramblings

Alright so I'm still working on my Prime AU and there is one thing I've been fussing over, it's the Hot Rod/Hot Shot/Smokescreen dilemma. I think I've figured it out, but I'm still fighting with myself.

I want all three of them in this AU. But I would have to re-purpose two of them, because there can be only one who will be 'the next Prime'. 

If I replace Smokescreen with Hot Rod, would that just be copying other Transformers universes? Would it be frowned upon because that's his role in everything else? But on the other hand, if I do that with Smokescreen, wouldn't that just be copying the Prime story? So, that would leave Hot Shot, right? But he was leader material in Armada/Unicron Trilogy. 

So here's my thought.

Hot Shot; I want him to be the, sort of runner-up or apprentice to Ultra Magnus. Should he ever go down, he would be the mech to take his place. I also want to add Smokescreen in on this; Smokescreen/Hot Shot, in my weird little headcanon, are spark twins. This would be interesting to have a pair of Autobot Twins who aren't the Lambos or the Jets, in addition to being possible join-leaders. If I did this, Smokescreen would be re-written as a character, and Hot Shot would take his place. 

Thoughts? I'd love feedback on this, to make it the best it can be. Any ideas?
