What would realistically happen if you placed me in the Judgement of Paris:
Zeus: You must now make your choice.
Me: …Okay but, considering all three of them are bribing me with different gifts of their domain, it isn’t truly about which I find more beautiful, but which gift is more personally beneficial to me. If I was a soldier who needed their city to win, I’d choose Athena purely based on the fact that I am in need of strategic wins for my people more than a beautiful woman or power over countries.
On the other side, being a woman, I wouldn’t have any need for power or strategic help because I wouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the front lines, so I would pick Aphrodite by proxy.
Since we’re on the topic, even if there wasn’t any kind of bribing, why is it even a debate? Wouldn’t it make sense I choose the literal embodiment of beauty purely because she rules the very domain of love and appearances? It’s like if I had to choice the most strategic battle planner, and my answer is someone other than Athena. It doesn’t make sense because it is her literal domain.
Also also, why is it an offense to the other two if i choose one goddess? I am only one person, and it is established that humans have preferences between deities- like how people can choose to devote themselves to any temple. So that’s a known face. Also-
Zeus: For the love of us, just choose one!
Me: I CANNOT PICK BETWEEN THREE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN-
