This is so stupid but I obsess over it every single time I watch this episode so I’m bringing it to all of your attention too

How long are the days on the Boiling Isles? I assumed it was the same as our time since they never actually said anything about it but after this thing Principal Bump says in Enchanting Grom Fright, I’m not so sure

“Just keep it up...for 36 more hours.”

Which means the dance ends in 36 hours, so originally I thought the dance was the day after...maybe they’re just advertising and getting everything ready today idk. Which makes sense to me since, at my school, our dances usually ended at 9:00pm. Since this is the beginning of the day (~9:00am) the math makes sense if days are 24 hours long.

But when Luz gets home from school that day, she walks in to find Eda and King getting ready for Grom.

“I’m chaperoning Grom tonight.”

Which means that Grom IS the same day.

And school starts sometime between 8:30 and 9:00 in the morning I’m guessing, since in the beginning of Really Small Problems we see Luz’s alarm for school go off at 8:00

Idk what time school ends bUT yeah

This is so fucking stupid and that thing with Bump was probably just meant to be a joke and probably just something they didn’t think about but GOD it bothers me so much
