I wanted to write a romance novel that was a little less taboo than my usual, so I’ve had a fantastical Middle East-inspired cobra shifter story in the back of my head for the last half a year or so. The titular Hero of the first novel would be this guy, Khalid. He’s the spiritual guide/guardian/protector of the much younger heroine Neisha. Neisha is also a cobra shifter but she has no idea until Khalid starts to court her. I have a whole trilogy planned, but that’s all I can definitively say for now haha.
