as i mentioned yesterday, the first snow finally arrived in my little college town. i spent twenty minutes digging my car out of a foot and a half block of ice and snow to get to class. this made me slightly late which led me to rashly park in a huge snowbank along a curb on the side of the road by the building my class is in.
i knew this would give me problems, especially since i am from california and do not know how to get my car out of big icy snow piles, only in to them. thankfully, my expert driving-in-snow friend got out of her class across campus early so she had extra time to come contrive my poor car out of it's icy prison. it was also lucky that three wonderful strangers happened to walk by at the moment. alas, with the help of a skilled car maneuverer and four people pushing on the back of the car... i successfully made it back home in no time at all.
