Candle Magic 🕯️✨
Hello darlings 🥰
Today, let's delve into the enchanting world of candle magic and explore the fascinating meanings behind different methods of extinguishing candles. Each action holds its own symbolism and can enhance the effectiveness of your candle spells and rituals. Let's shed some light on this topic:
🔥 Snuffing the Flame:
When you gently snuff out a candle's flame with a snuffer or your fingertips, it represents a respectful and deliberate act of extinguishing the energy. Snuffing signifies closure, completion, and the intention to preserve the remaining energy within the candle for future use. It's like pressing pause on your spellwork, allowing you to return to it at a later time.
💨 Blowing Out the Flame:
Blowing out a candle is an act of releasing and dispersing energy. It can be a powerful way to send your intentions out into the universe. When you blow out a candle, visualize your desires being carried on the air, reaching the realms of manifestation. However, be mindful that blowing out the candle can also scatter the energy, so ensure you have clarity in your intentions before doing so.
🕯️ Letting the Candle Burn:
Allowing a candle to burn all the way down is a practice of continuous focus and dedication. It signifies your commitment to the spell or ritual until its completion. As the candle burns, the energy and intentions continue to be amplified, and the flame acts as a beacon for your desires. This method is ideal for long-term spells or rituals that require a sustained energy flow.
Personal preferences can vary, so I would encourage you to trust your intuition and choose the method that resonates with you and your magical practice. Now that you're aware of the symbolism behind these actions, you can infuse your candle magic with intention and meaning.

Quick witch tip
Trying to get that fire element but can't use real fire? I know there's tons of suggestions out there but here's a short list of things I find that are great substitutes:
Tea lights
sunflowers (sun= bby ball of fire)
drawing out a candle (then tearing it apart to symbolizing snuffing out the flame)
washable paint, crayons markers, chalk (use colors that symbolize fire and wash/wipe it away to also symbolize putting out your candle)
Wearing clothing with colors to symbolize fire
Perfumes/fragrances/oils that correspond to fire/sun (Basil, Cedarwood, Clove, Frankincense, Juniper, Lime, Nutmeg, Orange, Peppermint, Rosemary, Rose Geranium, Tangerine)
stones the correspond to the sun/fire (such as ruby, garnet, amber, citrine, sunstone, yellow tiger's eye etc)
sigils that symbolize fire
candle apps that allow you to have a digital candle
Remember, lovelies, it's all about intent. intent. intent. If you can feel it and believe it, you can make almost anything happen!
Please feel free to share your ideas on fire element substitutes!♡
Confession: Morinth was a dream come true. I've always wanted a character of mine to die during sex. Like, before she came along, my only hope was that the Warden would eventually grow too old and have a heart attack while doing the do with Zev.
Everyone is sick
I can not wait to get out of this Petri dish of illness that they call college for the semester.
