for once i am not at work headcannoning!!!! but i thought about niko’s first parent teacher conference when hes in kindergarten (i’m assuming that happens in kindergarten) but basically shane and ilya bring niko along and when the teacher has them in the classroom niko goes to read in the library corner and the teacher is saying how sweet niko is in class, how kind he is to other people in his class and ilya is like “thats my baby and i’m proud” and basically the teacher is like “shh im not supposed to have favourites but niko is my favourite” and they show them his work and shane and ilya are like :((((( thats our baby :((((((

ilya also holding sleepy 2 year old maxie in his lap during the meeting :3 shane's a little nervous (not that he's heard anything bad from niko's teacher, this is just their first time at a parent teacher conference and hes worried maybe there is something he and ilya have missed with niko). so when they hear this he's just like :')) my baby :') my baby who is literally perfect :')
ilya says to the teacher "youre not just saying that? ;)" and the teachers like nope, its true! and ilyas just like looks at shane and is like :)) we're really pretty good at this parenting thing arent we :))
