So Long, Adele. The Black Forest Wills a Dream. Come Catastrophes or Wakes of Vultures.
me when im reading so long adele and they say so long adele
Slowly working my way through old events I missed during my hiatus and finished So Long Adele. It reminds me of something I saw about how Endfield's gameplay structure lets it handle the epilogue of rebuilding better than Arknights — because this is basically that but in Arknights. A relaxed and melancholy character study as we check back in on Siesta and Eyja. Things can and will get better.
Slice-of-life isn't my personal cup of tea (my favorite event remains the very tightly plotted and dramatic Break the Ice) but despite what feels like sometimes awkward English translation it's a pretty well-written breather event. The dream sequence with Eyja and the sheep based off her parents made me sob.
Also god Swire pissing off her asshole grandpa so badly he literally just croaks —
Genuinely can't believe this is an event where a horde of sheep go throughout the city of Siesta robbing people and partying and stealing things.
God, I love that Arknights is a game like this.
Last event was about to collapse of trust between different races and had a climactic moment where someone delivered a severed head on a plate.
And then there's this event.
