We spent the whole morning operating as though today were Father’s Day only to find out at 1:45 that Father’s Day is, in fact, next week. Oh well, time is a stretchy concept these days anyway, so husband gets his present a week early.

Okay, I’ve gotten quite a few requests through Instagram and in asks on tumblr-- so I’m restructuring my etsy, and even though the plan was to keep it closed for the rest of the year, I’m redacting that statement. The main idea for doing that in the first place, was to focus on creating my comics. But, I realized quick that my etsy store as it currently is, actually really doesn’t take that much time out of comic stuff.

And? I tried to focus purely on making comics but.... I just have so much fun designing keychains, bags, stickers.... it looked like it wasn’t going to stop any time soon.

So I’m restructuring my etsy account to make any items anyone might look at, easier to find and order, and if I feel I can handle it, I might reopen it right before my 4-conventions-in-a-row gauntlet.

The new etsy is going to include all my sticker, keychain, and pencil bag designs, and I will probably keep updating it from there.

I realize if I only worked on comics for the rest of the year, I’d get ancy doing the same thing over and over again. So, yep!

Spent the whole day doing fuck-all except for filling some requests, pushing assignments I was gonna do today to tomorrow, and playing the Sims 4 to vicariously live out my dream of dating Twice 👌

Honestly, if there’s one thing I’ve at least accepted about going forward being more courteous to myself about the problems I just have to live with...

It’s that I’m mostly going to need to keep lower-maintenance pets, and quite often those are insects and arachnids, or require feeder insects and/or soil creatures (detritivores) in order to be that low maintenance.

And with this one it’s gone beyond acceptance and is resting squarely in “I’ve completely revived my love of all things creepy crawly I had when I was a kid that was taught out of me by the adults around me who were scared of them” territory, and I regret nothing.

I am so in love with my filter-feeding shrimp, snails of multiple types, and little soil creatures (mostly amphipods as far as I can tell, which are super cute little itty bitty shrimp-looking things [x]). The fish is great and all, but as much as he is technically the centerpiece of the tank... everything else going on is so fascinating!!
