i will either A) learn coding or beg someone to help me and make my own personal website for my existing readers (which could be fun) or i will B) make a google doc and let my existing readers see it via a link given in my discord (and let them make comments, which could be REALLY fun)

actually right now im thinking about it and option B sounds fun either way... like i moved away from google docs because of AI so maybe i could find a different site that will let me do that but it would be fun to let discord folks comment on paragraphs...

It’s my first day back in the classroom post-student teacher (I mean, I’m here every day taking roll and sitting in for some of class, but then I leave). I feel weirdly unsupervised. My room is my own! I can listen to music on my prep!

I do feel strongly that coaching and mentorship makes me better at my job because in education there is so little oversight! Thirteen years in and no one asks me to justify why I do the things I do! So having a twenty-two year old shadow you and then teach your classes really puts that challenge back in place, you know?

Anyway, my Honors kids are reading Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn and already talking about people using their religion as justification for control being a bad thing, so like, we’re cooking on this Thursday morning.
