A lot of the time we talk solely about the food we have eaten, but rarely talk about the chef. Philip who owns @tacutacufood is a very talented guy. Under exposed, if you asked me. I would expect to pay double the amount for these dishes. I was blown away last year by his food, and he’s impressed me even more this time round. His creativity and flavour compilation is ridiculously good. Seafood and watermelon tostadas. Mexiclam Fries; sweet potato fries with chipotle cream clams. Tempura soft shell crab with ancho-chocolate sauce. Aubergine fries with molasses and huancaina sauce. Salted Dulce de leche ice cream with spiced hibiscus syrup, coconut & bay leaf panna cotta. That soft shell crab is one of the nicest dishes I have ever eaten. Who would have ever thought to have put chocolate with it? It’s perfect.
