bok-gi loves bagels

ye-seul loves painting people’s nails and will use any excuse to paint her friends’ hands

sol a cannot cook without setting something on fire. but she gets better over the years. many many years.

ji-ho’s favourite book is the great gatsby

joon-whi is actually a master at making playlists, and his favourite music is from the 70s & 90s

joon-whi and ji-ho often go cycling around seoul together

sol a, sol b and ye-seul get three tiny butterfly tattoos behind their ears to signify their friendship with each other

mama kim is named the godmother of seungjae’s child

bok-gi and yeobeom go clothes shopping together

bok-gi loves looking after seungjae’s kid. he’s their favourite uncle

sol b’s favourite jewels are pearls

joon-whi is a regular at sol a’s family’s flat. he’s basically part of the family

kang dan and sol a do eventually forgive one another, for the things they have and haven’t done, but they’re never quite as close as they were. and that’s okay.

kang dan and sol b date for a hot minute, but amicably break up when they realise they’re better as friends

the entire group are huge swifties

ye-seul keeps buying waistcoats for bok-gi. he’s not annoyed about it.

when sol a, sol b and ye-seul live together, their flat is simply covered with books. they’re everywhere. on the floor, on bookshelves, on desks, on the kitchen table, in bowls. there’s all different types as well. trashy romance novels (ye-seul), thrillers (sol a), fantasy (sol b), boring law books (all of them), the occasional collection of essays and more.

on the contrary, when bok-gi, ji-ho, joon-whi and yeobeom share an apartment, the girls try to avoid going over there at all costs. it’s gross and it stinks. the boys love it however, and are always trying to defend their flat

joon-whi meets up for an awkward coffee with his aunt once a year when she comes over from the states to korea.

sol b and ye-seul help joon-whi pick out sol a’s engagement ring

sol a gets ji-ho a typewriter for his birthday one year and he nearly weeps in joy

he types his first book with it

and it’s dedicated to his father

So here's my one! The Sol System! (TSS) and this is inspired by Kattyanimationz who is probably and is the original person who made this!! (Katty is like my idol in solarballs animations and stuff so sub to her if u want)

i never thought we would see jealous sol a but i'm so glad to be proven wrong jshdksd. i mean, you could pass off the scene where joon-hwi teases her about it in ep 12 as somehow platonic (from sol a's pov, we all know joon-hwi is whipped) but the writer had another person calling her out on her jealousy. i'm calling it now, we're totally getting a scene were joon-hwi says there's no need for her to feel that way. also, sol a putting her head on his shoulder while joon-hwi smiles knowingly????? who could have thought that the idea of joon-hwi liking sol b would make her start acting that way??? lol

SAME THOUGHTS! I thought a jealousy scene wouldn’t work for SolHwi but it’s just a matter of making it subtle the same way SolHwi is. Kudos to the writers!

Yebeom teasing Sol A about being jealous was definitely an intentional move to progress SolHwi’s development. While Sol A doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it (which may have to do with the fact that she’s a master of teasing so she knows how to react to teases), my theory is that that she may have had quiet moments that led her to end up questioning what she feels about the entire situation. I have mentioned this a million times already, but we need to remember that Sol A is shown to be unaware of how close she is to Joon Hwi.

Sol A and Joon Hwi have a very specific fondness towards each other. For Joon Hwi, it’s clear that he harbors romantic feelings for Sol A. On Sol A’s end though, it’s a little more unknown. However, I always had a gut feeling that Sol A harbors romantic feelings for Joon Hwi. A factor on why they haven’t errupted yet is probably rooted in the following: personal insecurity, law school and family struggles, and a lack of catalyst.

The Sol B liking Joon Hwi storyline is not too much of a big deal. There’s no love triangle, as I previously mentioned. It was more of a human feeling that showed how Sol B is still young and is still very much a human being.

You know, I just think that that glasses scene with Joonhwi and Sol B was more like a scene to show us how Sol B fell in love with Joonhwi rather than it being a scene for the two of them if that even makes sense.

the field, school clinic, and strawberry milk

During recess, Kang Sol who is known as the smartest person and always at the top of the class, sits alone on the stairs near the grass field. She is reading a book and eating a popsicle on a hot summer day that might actually melt her cold exterior. The wind breezes, but still, the sun is scorching hot. She gazed at the crowded soccer field. Boys in her class are having fun playing soccer. She focused back on the pages.

Suddenly, the soccer ball flew and hit her forehead. It was Jiho who went to kick the ball that time. He gasped, and ran to her to apologize and made sure that she was okay.

Jiho wipes his sweat from his forehead, then bows twice in front of her while saying sorry.

"I'm sorry, I'm very sorry!"

Jiho looks into Sol's eyes, with his looks examining her. He asked with much concern, "Kang Sol, are you okay? Does your head hurt? I'm really sorry—", as he extended his arm unconsciously towards her forehead and almost touched her hair..

With her eyes closed enduring the pain from the ball hit, Sol then opened her eyes and briefly looked at Jiho's hand. A bit fazed, she pulls her head away.

"I'm fine."

She lied. It actually hurts. She hated it was her rival who hit her. She stood up and leave. She murmured to herself, "That geek can't even play soccer well, huh."

"Ah, is she really okay though?" Jiho worries, putting his hands on his hips.

Jiho decided not to continue to play again and went back to his class. He looked around searching for Sol. He then noticed that Sol's chair is empty — She is not in class. Without asking anyone, he had a hunch that she might be in the school's clinic because of what happened.

After a while, he goes to the school clinic room and finds Sol there, pressing a bag of ice to her forehead.

Sol scoffed and rolled her eyes, "What are you doing here? Leave."

"Here. I.. Um, apologize for what happened earlier," said Jiho softly, while he handed her a small carton of strawberry milk that he had just bought before.

“How many times should you say sorry? I'm really fine. I don't need it. Now go."

"Right then, I'm just going to leave this here. See you in class." Jiho put the milk on the bed and left.

Sol just stares a little bit too long at the strawberry milk that Jiho puts near her. She then gazes at the door where Jiho had gotten out five minutes ago, she sighed, and slowly picked up the milk.

"Huh. What's wrong with him? Crazy. It seems like he's the one who got hit in the head." she said in her mind.

As she inhales a deep breath while sipping her milk, it comes to her surprise that she finds comfort in the sweetness of the taste.. It was sweet, but soft and tasted fresh, much to her liking. She looked at the packaging, and smiled slightly. She tries to remember it for the next time she wants to buy it.

Or was it his kind gesture that actually comforted me?

She was a bit surprised by her thinking. She wouldn't even dare to bring herself thinking such thoughts before.

SOL B X BEYOND EVIL

okay folks, i’m following my own canon from one of my first stories that has Sol B leaving law school, getting away from her mother and making a name for herself in her own right. Therefore, I’ll be writing a crossover where Sol B gets sent by her new firm to Manyang to aid the evil dad in wrapping up the situation before his involvement gets out. She realises that something isn’t adding up and switches sides. The main ship will be Sol B and Jaeyi but I can see myself going into juwon and dongsiks relationship too bc i love to switch perspectives ! i’ll mostly be posting on my AO3 but I can post the links when theyre up if anyones interested!!
