Round 1:
Which band name do you like best?
Something for Kate
Wir sind Helden
Note that this is about band names not their music or members.
Translation: Wir sind Helden = We are heroes (German)
And I can't hear myself think Oh, I couldn't be happier I'm not standing near Whatever trail they're always tryin' to blaze So just let me buy your drink another drink I ain't lettin' you go anywhere
So I keep watch and you keep breaking Breaking formation to become someone else And your eyes become corridors, where I wander With a candle, calling out to you
You say you just wanna feel The way you used to feel The way you should feel And I wander, I wander through The lost city of you
And you only hide Because you know I'll find you
Juice Magazine - February 2001
ramona was a waitress - paul dempsey
So you ever listen to Paul Dempsey's voice for a while and just feel yourself transported to a mostly empty beer garden of an old red brick pub in a small town. And you're surrounded by empty pint glasses and the scent of stale cigarette smoke and you're looking up at the sky past the moths that are flitting around the beer signs and you can feel that vast night sky above like ink flowing from the horizon to the last strip of orange as the sun sets off in the distance and you feel insignificant and nostalgic and it's home but it's not and you kind of want to cry for no reason at all?
