The coast was a living thing.
It breathed salt into the air, stirred the waves with invisible hands, whispered secrets through the sea grass curling around the rocks. You knew the shoreline better than you knew the royal gardens, better than the throne room where your future was supposed to be waiting. Here, at the ragged edge of the kingdom, you could pretend the world was yours alone.
Megumi barked at the foam licking the sand, then trotted back to nudge your knee with a wet nose. You smiled, absently scratching behind his ears as you watched the ships bobbing out on the horizon — pale ghosts against the setting sun.
Tomorrow there would be meetings. Talks of alliances, marriage contracts and duty. You had been reminded of it a hundred times this week alone. A prince's life is not his own, they told you. A prince lives for his people.
You tipped your head back and let the wind steal the breath from your lungs. Maybe that was true. Maybe that was why you spent so much time down here, pretending you could forget.
The first night you saw him, you thought he was a dream.
A figure cutting through the dark waves, black hair slicked back from his sharp, beautiful face, a flicker of something silvered and strange at his waist where legs should have been. He didn't speak. He only watched you from a distance, half-shielded by a jagged rock outcropping — until the tide rose too high and you had to retreat, pulse thundering like a drum.
You didn’t tell anyone. You weren’t even sure he was real.
But you came back the next night anyway. And the night after that.

The sea above was never quiet.
It pressed against Geto's skin like a second heartbeat, a steady drum of currents and whispered storms. He learned long ago how to move with it, how to let the world pass around him without leaving a mark. Down here, nothing changed. Down here, he could be anything except free.
His father's court was endless: treaties with the southern pods, patrols against deepwater threats, lectures on duty and bloodlines. The weight of it wrapped around his ribs tighter with every passing year. One day, Gakuganji told him, the crown would be his. One day, he would lead their people. One day, one day, one day.
None of it ever felt like it belonged to him.
Only the surface did.
Only the wind-struck light dappling the upper currents, the forgotten shipwrecks rusting like bones, the songs carried down from the world above. Only the days he risked everything to rise to the rocky cliffs near the human harbour — to watch them, to imagine a life where he could breathe air and walk wherever he wanted, whenever he wanted, without permission or fear.
It was on one of those days that he saw you.
A boy standing barefoot on the rocks, hair tousled by the wind, face turned toward the horizon like he was searching for something he hadn't found yet. You looked out at the world the way Geto did from below — aching for it.
He should have swum away. Should have gone back to the safety of the deeps.
But he stayed.
And he watched.
And for the first time in a long time, the ocean around him didn’t feel like a cage.
⋆。°✩
The night the storm hit, the harbour bells rang too late.
You had been aboard one of the trading ships by then, half-listening to the captain grumble about incoming weather and ignoring the pit twisting in your gut. The sky was already bruising purple when the first gust hit — tearing sails, snapping rigging. Men shouted, scrambling to reef lines and lower anchors, but the sea didn’t care for human hands.
It swallowed the ships one by one.
The deck pitched under your feet. You stumbled, slamming against the rail just as a wall of black water rose above the stern. Megumi barked once, sharp and terrified, before something wrenched you backwards — the mast, splintering free and crashing down.
You didn’t have time to scream.
The ocean yawned open and dragged you under.
⋆。°✩
Geto felt it before he saw it.
The current shifted — sudden and wrong — churning with debris and panic. He surfaced just in time to see the human ships breaking apart like toys, to hear the distant wail of horns and voices swallowed by thunder.
And you.
Sinking.
He didn't think. He never thought, where you were concerned.
Geto dove, cutting through the wreckage, ignoring the jagged shards that scraped his arms. He found you drifting down like a broken-winged bird, limbs slack, hair fanning in the dark.
The ocean wanted you. It always wanted the beautiful ones.
Not this time.
He caught you around the waist and kicked hard for the surface.
You were heavy with soaked clothes and fading warmth. Every second dragged like chains. His lungs burned, his vision blurred, but he held onto you like you were the last real thing left in the world.
When they broke the surface, the storm was still raging. Waves tossed them like driftwood. He scanned the dark coastline — spotted the jutting rocks near the harbour mouth — and swam.
He didn’t know how long it took.
He didn’t care.
He hauled you up onto the slick stones, shielding your body with his own as the rain lashed down. You coughed weakly, choking on salt, and he exhaled a breath he hadn’t realised he was holding.
Alive.
You were alive.
⋆。°✩
The sound of human voices echoed from the cliffs — search parties, flashing lanterns between the rocks. Geto looked down at you, memorising the line of your jaw, the stubborn set of your mouth even in sleep.
He wanted — stupidly, selfishly — to stay.
Instead, he pressed his forehead briefly against yours, whispering something he would never have the chance to explain. Then he slid back into the water and vanished with the tide.
By the time the villagers found you, the only trace of him was the salt drying on your skin.
The throne room shimmered with trapped light — columns carved from coral and salt-stained marble, banners heavy with the weight of generations. Geto stood in the centre of it all, dripping seawater onto the polished floor, heart hammering against his ribs.
"You endangered the whole pod!" Gakuganji’s voice cracked through the hall like a whip. His crown tilted slightly with the force of his rage. "You think the humans would hesitate to capture you? To carve you open and mount you on a wall?"
Geto said nothing.
There was no point arguing. Not when his father’s anger was loud enough to drown the entire ocean.
Beside the dais, Nanami stood stiff-backed, arms crossed. He didn’t look triumphant about reporting Geto’s surfacing — just tired, like he hated this as much as everyone else. It almost made it worse.
"You're heir to the throne!" Gakuganji thundered. "You have responsibilities beyond your childish fascinations."
Geto's hands curled into fists. He could still feel the weight of you in his arms, the raw terror of losing you to the storm. "I saved him," he said quietly.
"What?" The king leaned forward, incredulous.
"I saved a human boy," Geto repeated. "He would have died."
"You risked us for one human?!" Gakuganji slammed his trident into the floor, the impact echoing up the columns. "You think they would show you the same mercy? You think they would not hunt you down the moment they saw what you are?"
"They’re not all the same," Geto said, teeth gritted. "He—"
"Enough." Gakuganji's voice dropped to a dangerous rumble. "You will not surface again. You will not approach the humans. You will remember who you are."
"And if I don't?" Geto asked, before he could stop himself.
For a moment — a long, dangerous heartbeat — the throne room went dead still.
"You are my son," Gakuganji said, low and cold. "You have no other path."

Later, in the empty coral gardens, Gojo found him — lounging sideways across a crumbling pillar, grinning like he hadn't just been chased out of a war meeting.
"Yikes," Gojo said cheerfully. "You sure know how to make an exit."
Geto didn’t answer. He stared up at the distorted sunlight filtering through the water, aching all over in ways he didn’t have names for.
"You’re lucky," Gojo continued, drifting upside down just to be annoying. "If it were my old man, I’d already be gutted and grilled."
"You're not helping."
"You never let me," Gojo huffed. He floated closer, peering at Geto. "So. You gonna tell me what’s got you risking excommunication? Or do I have to guess?"
Geto stayed silent.
Gojo tilted his head. "It’s a boy, isn’t it?"
Geto groaned and pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes.
Gojo whooped. "I knew it! The brooding, the reckless endangerment, the classic tragic ocean prince move—"
"Shut up."
"Make me," Gojo said smugly. He poked Geto’s arm. "Come on, you big idiot. You’re already halfway to disaster. Might as well tell me the whole tragic love story before Nanami comes back and scolds you again."
⋆。°✩
The sea grew colder as Geto swam downward.
Here, light barely touched the water — a place forgotten by even the boldest currents. The rocks twisted into cruel shapes, and whispers rode the tides like broken shells. If there was a place for mistakes to be made permanent, it was here.
He should have turned back.
He didn't.
The cavern loomed ahead, yawning wide, lit from within by a sickly green glow. Strange silhouettes moved against the walls — half-formed faces, reaching hands. Geto steeled himself and drifted closer.
"You’re a hard one to catch," a voice purred from the darkness.
Kenjaku.
The wizard drifted forward, robes flowing like smoke around his legs, face split by a smile too wide to be friendly.
"You want something, little prince," Kenjaku crooned. "I can smell it."
Two figures uncoiled from the shadows behind him — long, sinuous, sharp-toothed.
Mai and Maki, twinned and terrible, circled lazily around Geto, eyes glinting with amusement.
"Look at him," Mai said mockingly, twirling a lock of her hair. "So serious."
"So sad," Maki agreed, baring her teeth in a grin.
"So stupid," they said together, and laughed — a low, rippling sound that made Geto’s skin crawl.
⋆。°✩
"I need legs," Geto said, forcing his voice steady.
Kenjaku’s smile sharpened. "Legs, hm? For what, I wonder? A human? A flash of bare skin and you’re ready to drown yourself in heartbreak?"
"Name your price," Geto said flatly.
The witch tsked, floating closer until their noses almost touched. "Such a waste. Such beautiful magic, all tangled up in something as stupid as hope."
Behind him, Mai and Maki snickered.
⋆。°✩
Kenjaku raised one hand, tracing a circle in the water. A contract shimmered into view — ancient script twisting around its edges.
"The price is your voice," Kenjaku said sweetly. "Three days. If he falls in love with you — truly — and seals it with a kiss, you stay human. If not..." His smile grew wider. "You belong to me."
The eels spun around Geto, tightening the circle. Their laughter dripped like venom into the water.
Geto hesitated — just for a breath.
Long enough to remember your face, lit by stormlight. Long enough to remember the way you clutched his hand even unconscious.
He reached out and touched the glowing contract.
⋆。°✩
Pain flared in his throat — white-hot and merciless — cutting off his cry halfway.
The magic stripped him clean, peeling his voice from his body like silk torn from skin.
He gasped silently, clutching his throat as the spell wrapped around him, crushing, reshaping, burning.
When it was done, he drifted there — smaller, heavier, different.
Legs where there had been fins.
Silence where there had been song.
Kenjaku smiled like a man who had just caught a very rare fish.
"Good luck, little prince," he said, voice syrup-thick.
"And do hurry."
Mai and Maki cackled as the currents carried Geto upward — toward the waiting world above.
⋆。°✩
The morning broke soft and slow over the coastline, spilling gold across the restless sea. The world still smelled of the storm — salt-heavy, sharp with the tang of broken kelp — but the sky had cleared, vast and aching blue from horizon to horizon.
You stumbled barefoot across the sand, Megumi racing ahead, nose low to the ground. Every muscle in your body ached from the night before — the crash of the ship, the icy clutch of the water, the way your lungs had burned as you fought to surface. It blurred in your memory now, stitched together only by fragments: the cold, the fear — and something else. A hand, pulling you upward. A voice you couldn’t remember, except that it had made you feel safe even in the middle of drowning.
You had barely slept. You couldn't. Not when the memory of it kept clawing at you, whispering that there was more you were supposed to remember.
And then Megumi barked — sharp and urgent — and you saw him.
A body crumpled on the sand, half-buried in seafoam, black hair spilling in tangled waves across pale skin. He was naked — startlingly so — his skin marred only by the faint bruises of the storm, the faint shimmer of salt drying on him. There was nothing indecent about it; it felt more like finding something sacred, half-formed and left behind by the tide.
You ran before you even realised you were moving, dropping to your knees in the wet sand beside him. He wasn’t breathing — or if he was, it was shallow enough to terrify you.
"Hey," you gasped, pressing trembling fingers to his cheek. "Hey, wake up—"
He stirred faintly under your touch.
His lashes fluttered. His mouth parted in a soundless breath. Dark eyes blinked up at you, wide and dazed and afraid.
Relief crashed through you so fast it left you dizzy. "You're okay," you whispered, more to yourself than to him. "You're okay."
You sat back, heart hammering, and without thinking, yanked your jacket from your shoulders. You wrapped it hastily around his body, covering him, trying to shield him from the cold — from the world — from everything that had brought him here.
He flinched slightly at the contact, but didn't pull away.
"Can you speak?" you asked, softer now.
He shook his head.
Panic twisted low in your gut. You scanned the beach for any sign of help — villagers, healers — but there was only you, the boy, and the endless hiss of the tide.
"Alright," you said, forcing your voice steady. "Okay. You’re safe now. We'll get you help."
He looked at you then — really looked — and the vulnerability there, raw and unguarded, made your throat tighten.
You slid an arm under his shoulders, lifting him carefully. He was heavier than he looked, all wiry strength packed into his slender frame. Still, you managed to half-carry, half-drag him toward the path leading back to the village, Megumi trotting anxiously at your heels.
You didn’t even know his name.
But some part of you whispered — old and certain — that you would learn it.
Whatever it cost.
Sneaking an unconscious man into the palace was harder than it sounded.
You kept your head down, murmuring apologies to the few kitchen servants and gardeners you passed, trying to make it look like he was a drunken cousin you'd plucked off the docks rather than a half-drowned stranger you’d found lying naked on the beach. Thankfully, your reputation for odd charity cases preceded you, and nobody dared stop you outright.
Megumi pressed close to your leg, hackles raised, growling low at anyone who came too near.
The boy clung to you with what little strength he had, swaying on his feet, skin still clammy under your jacket. His eyes stayed downcast, wide and dark and unreadable, like he was waiting for the moment someone dragged him away.
You tightened your grip on his waist.
Not happening.
Not while you were breathing.
⋆。°✩
You finally reached your wing of the castle — a small, sun-lit corner usually ignored by the court — and kicked the door open with your boot.
"Utahime’s gonna kill me," you muttered under your breath.
As if summoned by fate itself, Utahime appeared at the end of the hall, a stack of linens balanced precariously in her arms. She froze when she saw you — soaked, half-dragging a half-naked stranger through the corridor, dripping seawater onto the rug.
Her mouth opened.
Closed.
Opened again.
You spoke first. "It’s not what it looks like."
She raised an eyebrow so sharp it could have cut glass.
"Really?" she said flatly. "Because it looks exactly like you smuggled a drowned courtesan into the guest quarters."
"Utahime," you begged, "please. Just... trust me."
Her gaze flickered from you to the boy — to Geto — noting the way he sagged against you, the bruises on his skin, the way he flinched from sudden movement. Something softened in her expression.
"Fine," she said, voice clipped. "But if the king finds out you brought another stray into the palace, you’re explaining it, not me."
"Thank you," you breathed, genuinely relieved.
She rolled her eyes so hard you thought she might sprain something, then spun on her heel. "Hot water. Dry clothes. Quietly, if you have any sense left at all."
You turned to Geto, offering the barest smile. "See? It’ll be fine."
He gave you a look that clearly said he wasn’t so sure.
You shifted him toward the washroom, only to hear a wet slap! behind you. Startled, you turned — and blinked at the sight of a bright blue fish flopping awkwardly across the tiles, tail flicking madly.
"...Okay," you muttered. "Guess the tide brought in a few extra things."
Megumi barked once, chasing after the fish with a delighted growl.
In the basin, a large lobster scuttled up the side, clacking its claws indignantly. You laughed under your breath, because what else could you do? First the storm, then the mysterious boy, now sea creatures invading your house. It figured.
You shook your head and nudged the boy toward the warm towels waiting near the fire. "Come on. Let’s get you dry before you catch something worse."
Behind you, the lobster snapped its claws in what might have been furious disapproval.
You chalked it up to a very weird day and got to work.
⋆。°✩
The water in the copper basin steamed gently, carrying the soft scent of rosemary and soap into the air. You crouched beside it, wringing out a clean cloth with careful hands, trying not to startle the boy any more than he already was. He sat on a low stool wrapped in one of Utahime’s thick linen towels, the oversized fabric drowning his frame. His dark hair clung wetly to his cheeks, droplets carving slow trails down his throat and collarbone.
You worked in silence at first. He didn’t speak — couldn’t, you remembered with a pang — but he watched you with those dark, endless eyes, wary and unblinking. Like he expected you to change your mind. Like he was waiting to be thrown back into the sea.
You hated that look.
"You’re safe here," you said softly, dipping the cloth again and squeezing it out. "I swear it."
He blinked once, the smallest tremor of a nod, and let you gently wipe away the sand and salt crusted on his skin.
The bruises were worse up close. A constellation of them across his ribs and hips, angry purples fading into sickly greens. You swallowed hard, your fingers trembling slightly as you cleaned him, careful not to press too hard. He bore it in silence, though his hands fisted white-knuckled in the towel whenever you touched a particularly deep mark.
"You really went through hell, didn’t you?" you murmured, not expecting an answer.
He just tilted his head slightly, studying you like you were a puzzle he hadn’t decided to trust yet.
You couldn’t imagine what he must be thinking — waking up in a strange place, surrounded by people he couldn’t understand, without even his voice to defend himself.
Still, he didn’t pull away from you.
That had to mean something.
⋆。°✩
You helped him stand — slowly, carefully — and guided him to the clothes Utahime had left out. Simple trousers and a linen shirt, soft from years of washing. Nothing that would bind or restrict him. You turned your back politely to give him privacy, but you caught glimpses of him fumbling with the strange fastenings, his hands clumsy and uncertain.
You hesitated for a heartbeat.
Then — cursing the blood already rushing traitorously to your face — you turned back and crouched in front of him.
"Here," you said, voice low. "Let me help."
His hands trembled as he held out the shirt. You took it from him, sliding it carefully over his arms, mindful of the bruises. Your fingers brushed the bare skin of his back — warm now from the fire — and he shivered under your touch.
Not from cold.
From something else.
You swallowed against the tightness rising in your throat and focused on fastening the buttons one by one, your hands slow and steady.
He smelled of salt and clean water, of something older and wilder than anything that had ever lived in the palace. Being this close to him felt like standing at the edge of a cliff and daring the wind to take you.
When you finally looked up, he was watching you again — close enough that you could see the fine droplets clinging to his lashes, the faint pink rising in his cheeks.
For a moment — just a moment — the world narrowed to this: your hands still resting lightly on his ribs, his breath ghosting warm across your mouth, the almost unbearable weight of the things you weren’t saying.
You cleared your throat roughly and stepped back.
"Better," you said, aiming for casual and missing by a mile.
He smiled — small and uncertain, but real.
It hit you like a sucker punch.
Gods help you.
You were so, so doomed.
The next few days blurred into something slow and strange and golden.
You weren’t sure when the man slipped into the rhythm of your life. It happened so naturally that even Utahime stopped giving you suspicious glares after a while, though she still huffed disapprovingly whenever she caught you teaching him how to balance a teacup properly or helping him pronounce simple words by mouthing them slowly across the breakfast table.
He learned fast.
He struggled with some things — forks, for instance, and the baffling concept of shoes — but he watched you intently whenever you demonstrated something, his brow furrowed in fierce concentration. You found yourself performing for him more and more, exaggerating small daily tasks just to hear the faint huff of laughter he tried to hide behind his hand.
He was different from anyone you had ever known.
He didn’t speak, but he listened.
He didn’t understand your world, but he treated every clumsy new experience like it was precious — sacred.
And gods help you, every day you spent with him carved deeper into your ribs.
It wasn’t just the way he looked — though that was its own kind of torture, the way his hair curled damply against his forehead in the mornings, the way his smiles bloomed shy and bright when you praised him. It was the way he made everything feel new. Like you were seeing the world for the first time through his eyes.
It terrified you.
And you never wanted it to end.

One evening, Gojo hatched a plan.
The fish flopped dramatically into Geto’s washbasin, splattering water everywhere, and gurgled out something that sounded suspiciously like, "You need a romantic setting, dumbass."
Nanami snapped his claws sharply at Gojo, looking scandalised, but Geto tilted his head thoughtfully, considering.
Thus: the boat.
It was old — a battered rowboat the castle’s fishermen had abandoned months ago — but you managed to patch it up enough to float. The little inlet near the gardens shimmered under the late afternoon sun, warm and heavy with the scent of summer roses. It wasn’t much.
But Geto beamed when you led him to it, and that was enough.
⋆。°✩
The boat rocked gently as you pushed off from the shore, settling into the lazy current. Megumi whined once, left behind on the dock, but Utahime had promised to watch him with strict warnings about muddy paws on clean linens.
You and Geto sat side by side, knees bumping occasionally as the boat drifted.
He leaned over the side once, trailing his fingers through the water, eyes wide in quiet wonder. You watched him, unable to look away. The way the sunlight caught in his hair, the way the breeze toyed with the loose laces of his shirt — he looked like something dreamed into existence, something too fragile for this world.
Your heart ached with it.
Gojo and Nanami lurked somewhere nearby — you caught glimpses of them in the water now and then, little splashes and flashes of colour as they tried (very badly) to be subtle.
At one point, Gojo bumped a lily pad under your boat in what could only be described as a "subtle nudge."
You laughed under your breath.
Geto looked up, curious, and you smiled at him, helpless against it.
The boat drifted into a patch of golden reeds. The world narrowed to just the two of you, the soft lapping of the water, the gentle hush of the wind.
You turned toward him.
He turned toward you.
The distance between you shrank — slow, inevitable.
You could feel the heat of him, the tentative hope in his gaze, the silent question trembling between you.
You leaned in. He leaned in. Closer. Closer. Your breath mingled. Your noses brushed.
And just as your lips were about to meet—
A massive wave crashed against the side of the boat, nearly capsizing it.
You yelped, scrambling to grab the edges as Geto flailed, soaking wet, clutching desperately at the seat. The boat rocked wildly, slamming back into the reeds.
You twisted, scanning the water. No wind. No passing ship. Just... a single ominous ripple fading into the distance.
Your heart pounded with more than just adrenaline. Geto looked at you, his mouth tight with frustration, his fingers curling white-knuckled around the wood.
Something was wrong. You could feel it.
⋆。°✩
You sat on the damp seat of the rocking boat for a long time after the wave struck, breathing hard and blinking salt from your eyes. The boy — the stranger — hunched beside you, gripping the edge of the hull so tightly his knuckles had turned bloodless. Water dripped steadily from his hair, trailing down his throat, soaking the thin fabric of his borrowed shirt until it clung to the sharp lines of his body. His mouth was a tight line, his brow furrowed in frustration, but when he turned those dark, searching eyes on you, all you could feel was the echo of something unfinished.
You almost kissed him. Gods above, you almost kissed him.
Your skin still tingled from the near-touch of it. Your heart hammered an uneven beat, deafening in the quiet. You didn’t know what you would have done if the kiss had landed — you barely knew what you were doing now, sitting here, pretending that the whole world hadn't shifted around you in the space of a breath.
You laughed under your breath — short, self-mocking — and shook your head. What was happening to you?
The boy watched you with something complicated in his gaze. There was no fear there, no hesitation. Only a kind of raw, aching patience, like he would wait as long as it took for you to understand something he couldn’t say.
The boat rocked gently again, nudged by a smaller ripple. You glanced around — no sign of the flounder or the lobster now. The water stretched flat and empty in every direction, save for the faintest shimmer on the horizon. For a moment, you thought you caught a glimpse of something — a shape beneath the surface, too fast and sinuous to be natural — but when you blinked, it was gone.
You chalked it up to exhaustion. To nerves.
You rowed back to the dock in silence, your arms aching with each pull. He helped where he could, clumsy but determined, his strength returning with every passing hour. He steadied you when you nearly slipped on the wet stones, his hands warm and sure on your waist, and you laughed breathlessly despite yourself.
He smiled back — that small, fierce thing — and your heart nearly stumbled out of your chest.
⋆。°✩
That night, the castle felt different.
Quieter, heavier.
The halls echoed strangely under your boots as you made your rounds, half-hoping to spot him tucked somewhere unexpected — curled in the library window seat, maybe, trying to puzzle out one of the battered old books you kept stacked there. Instead, you found Utahime in the kitchens, snapping orders at the scullery boys while Megumi chased a half-plucked chicken across the floor.
"You should be resting," she scolded, tossing a towel at your face without looking up. You caught it, laughing. "I’m fine. Just... restless." She gave you a knowing glance but didn’t push.
You slipped away again, heading out into the garden where the moon silvered the paths and the roses breathed heavily in the night air. You thought of the boy — of how the candlelight caught in his hair, how he tilted his head like he was listening to music no one else could hear. You thought of how close you had been on the boat, how your bodies had leaned together like they belonged in the same breath.
You thought — for the first time — that maybe the world was bigger than the walls you had been raised inside. Maybe it had always been bigger. You had just never seen it clearly until now.
You tipped your head back and let the stars blur overhead.
And somewhere, far below the still surface of the ocean, something watched. And smiled.
It began the next morning, without warning.
You barely noticed her at first — a new arrival to the court, travelling with a merchant caravan from the northern coast. She was beautiful in the way painted icons were beautiful: too polished, too deliberate. Skin like porcelain, hair so dark it seemed to swallow light, a smile that felt just a little too fixed when it landed on you.
She introduced herself as Kaori.
The name meant nothing. The smile meant even less. You nodded politely, offered the customary welcome, and forgot her almost immediately, distracted by the far more pressing task of slipping away to find the boy — your boy, you thought, and then hated yourself a little for the possessive curl of it.
You found him in the gardens again, his bare feet tucked into the sun-warmed grass, his eyes closed, face tilted to the sky like he was trying to drink the sunlight straight into his bones. You stopped in the doorway, momentarily robbed of breath by the simple, devastating sight of him.
He didn’t hear you approach. He never did. He always felt you instead — like a tide pulling at his skin.
He opened his eyes slowly, smiling that small, secret smile that made your heart ache. You crossed the distance without thinking, dropping onto the bench beside him, letting the silence settle between you like a familiar cloak.
You wanted to ask him about the wave. About the way the boat had nearly capsized at the exact wrong moment. About the way he had looked afterwards — hollow-eyed, trembling. You wanted to ask if he felt it too — the wrongness riding the air like a brewing storm.
But you didn’t.
Instead, you found yourself laughing about something trivial — the look on Utahime’s face when Megumi tracked mud all the way across the main hall — and he laughed too, breathless and soundless, clapping a hand over his mouth like it would help.
It didn’t. You caught a glimpse of it then — a boy trying so desperately to belong in a world that wasn't made for him.
And gods above, you wanted to give him that world if you could.
⋆。°✩
You didn’t see Kaori again until the next evening, at the palace banquet.
She appeared at the foot of the great staircase, clothed in sea-green silk that shimmered like scales. Her smile caught the candlelight and bent it in strange ways. When your gaze slid over her, something in your gut twisted — sharp and cold — but you forced it down. Court life was full of oddities. Beautiful strangers were hardly rare.
Still, when she moved toward you, the crowd parting instinctively around her, your hands clenched at your sides without you meaning to.
She spoke little, but when she did, her voice was soft and lilting, curling around your thoughts like mist. Every word sounded somehow heavier than it should have — harder to resist, harder to ignore.
When she laughed — high and delicate — you smiled back without wanting to. When she touched your arm, you didn’t pull away. Not because you wanted her to. Because your body wouldn't listen.
In the corner of the hall, you caught a flash of movement — the boy standing stiff and small near the tapestry-lined walls, clutching a goblet like it was a shield. His face was pale, drawn tight with something you didn’t have words for yet.
You started toward him — almost managed to break free of the invisible weight sinking its claws into you — but Kaori’s hand slipped through the crook of your elbow, light as a breath.
"Stay," she murmured. And you stayed.
You stayed while the boy you had dragged from the sea turned away, his shoulders stiff with heartbreak. You stayed while Kaori's smile sharpened at the edges.
You stayed while, somewhere deep in the castle’s belly, something ancient and wrong grinned wider in the dark.

The days after the banquet blurred into a haze you couldn't shake.
Kaori was everywhere.
Always at your side — during morning council, during the endless, glittering dinners, during the quiet walks you used to sneak alone along the cliffs. Her hand found yours without asking; her laughter brushed against your ear like a ghost. She said very little, and somehow that made it worse — like a dream half-remembered, slipping through your fingers no matter how hard you tried to hold onto the pieces.
The boy — the one you had pulled from the wreckage of your life — withdrew further with every sunrise.
He stopped meeting your gaze across the long banquet tables. Stopped smiling when you stumbled over your words trying to make him laugh. Stopped trailing after you like a shadow you had learned to need without noticing.
You told yourself it was fine. You told yourself he was settling in, finding his place, finding a way to live here without needing you to hold him up.
But when you passed him in the garden one afternoon and he didn’t even glance up from where he was hunched over a battered book, something in your chest cracked so hard you almost stumbled.
You almost turned back. Almost said his name — whatever it was. Almost begged him to look at you like he used to.
Instead, you let Kaori curl her arm around yours and lead you back inside.
The court whispered, as courts always did. About alliances. About bloodlines. About destiny.
The king, old and growing frail, watched you with something like approval warming the corners of his sharp mouth. His advisors began drawing up the paperwork without waiting for your consent.
The date was set. Three days from now. The engagement would be announced with all the pomp and ceremony a prince deserved.
You barely felt it happening. You smiled when you were meant to. You bowed and raised toasts and accepted the congratulations of men you hated.
You told yourself you were happy. You had to be happy.
Wasn’t this what you had always been raised for?
⋆。°✩
That night, standing alone in your chamber, you caught sight of yourself in the mirror.
A stranger stared back at you — a boy dressed in a prince's clothes, weighed down by invisible chains.
You stripped the coat from your shoulders and let it fall unheeded to the floor. Your hands braced against the cold glass, and for a moment, you could have sworn you heard something — faint and broken — pressing against the edges of your mind.
A whisper. A cry. A name you had never been told, and yet somehow knew.
⋆。°✩
Far across the castle, in the cramped little servants' room where he had been given a pallet and a worn blanket, the boy curled in on himself.
He clutched the locket around his throat — the one token of home he had been allowed to keep — and pressed his forehead to the rough mattress. Silent tears soaked into the fabric. His voice was gone, stolen by magic and bargain, and now the last thread tying him to you was slipping through his fingers like water.
He had almost kissed you. He had almost been enough.
Almost.
But almost didn't win. And the clock was running out.
The castle at night breathed differently.
Gone were the courtiers, the musicians, the easy laughter. The corridors stretched long and hollow, lined with flickering torchlight and the faint, restless whisper of the wind clawing against the stone. Somewhere in the kitchens, rats scrabbled unseen. Somewhere higher up, the great banners bearing your family crest sagged like forgotten memories.
And in a disused fountain tucked into a shadowed courtyard, two very angry sea creatures plotted treason.
Gojo flicked his tail in irritation, sending a ripple across the stagnant water. "I'm telling you," he hissed, voice low and urgent, "this is a full-blown, classic villain enchantment scenario. I’ve read about these things. You think princes just fall in love with creepy water-witch girls by accident?"
Nanami clacked his claws together in sharp agreement. "The signs are all there. Sudden behaviour shifts. Loss of free will. Proximity compulsion." His antennae twitched in frustration. "It's textbook dark magic."
"Exactly!" Gojo splashed dramatically. "And if we don’t snap Prince Broody out of it, he’s going to end up shackled to that creepy fake mermaid until death do they part."
Nanami adjusted his position with a weary sigh. "Do you have a plan, or are you just here to complain?"
"I always have a plan," Gojo said smugly. "Step one: cause chaos. Step two: expose the truth. Step three: make sure someone kisses Geto before the clock runs out."
Nanami paused, considering this. "You realise the 'chaos' part will get us executed if it fails."
Gojo grinned, showing far too many sharp little teeth for comfort. "Worth it."

Meanwhile, across the castle, you paced your chamber like a caged animal.
Something was wrong. You could feel it — thick and choking in the back of your throat, wrapping around your ribs like iron bands. Every time Kaori touched you, your skin crawled. Every time you smiled at her, something inside you shrivelled smaller.
You had dreams now — strange, aching dreams where a boy with black hair reached for you through a wall of glass, his mouth open in a silent scream you couldn't hear.
You woke gasping, fists tangled in the sheets, heart battering itself bloody against your ribs.
And yet in the daylight, with the court watching, you went through the motions. Smiling. Nodding. Playing the part of the perfect prince. You told yourself it was a duty. You told yourself it was the expectation.
You lied so well, you almost believed it.
Until tonight. Tonight, something inside you snapped.
Standing before the mirror, dressed in the ceremonial clothes chosen for your engagement announcement, you caught sight of yourself — not as a prince, not as a puppet — but as a boy trapped in a cage of golden lies.
And somewhere deep in your bones, a voice you had never heard but always known whispered:
Find him.
⋆。°✩
It began with a ripple.
A wrongness threading through the crowded ballroom — subtle at first, like a chill down your spine, like a pressure change before a storm. You stood at Kaori's side, the official proclamation clutched in your hand, the weight of duty coiling tighter and tighter around your throat. The court watched, expectant and smiling, their faces blurred at the edges of your vision.
And then the fountain at the centre of the hall exploded.
Water erupted sky-high, dousing nobles and chandeliers alike. Screams tore through the air. Plates crashed. Horses whinnied outside the gates. And in the chaos, two very familiar figures flailed onto the polished marble — one blue and flopping indignantly, the other red and clacking his claws with the frantic dignity of a man facing execution.
Gojo. Nanami.
You blinked, stunned.
Kaori gasped, stepping back from the spreading flood. Her hand brushed your sleeve—and for the first time, you felt it.
The illusion slipped.
The magic peeled away like rotted paint, revealing not a girl at all, but something older and hungrier. Her eyes flickered black for a heartbeat. Her mouth twisted, something wrong slithering just beneath the surface of her skin.
You staggered backwards, revulsion crashing over you like a tidal wave. The boy — your boy — caught your eye across the hall.
He stood frozen in the archway, soaked to the bone, clutching the locket at his throat like it was the only thing tethering him to the earth. His face was pale, his mouth trembling with words he couldn’t speak. His eyes — gods, his eyes — were wide and aching and full of so much hope you thought it might tear you in two.
You moved before you even realised it.
Across the ballroom, through the wreckage and screaming and magic unravelling at the seams, you ran. Kaori shrieked behind you, her voice warping into something guttural and wrong, but you didn’t look back. You tore past the courtiers, past the guards, past everything you had been trained your whole life to care about, and skidded to a halt in front of him.
He flinched — tiny, automatic — but didn’t run.
You reached out, cupping his face between your hands, feeling the tremor racing through him. He smelled like salt and sunlight and something sharp and ancient that had nothing to do with this world.
"You," you whispered, your voice breaking. "It was always you." His mouth opened — a gasp, a sob — but no words came.
He didn’t need them.
You surged forward and kissed him.
The world splintered.
The spell shattered with a soundless crack, like a mirror dropped from a great height. Light spilled from the locket at his throat, engulfing you both, washing the last of Kenjaku’s magic from the air. Somewhere in the distance, you heard a shriek — furious, inhuman — and then silence.
Only the two of you remained, tangled together, breathless and shaking.
He stared up at you like you had hung the stars. You couldn’t breathe. You didn’t want to.
You leaned in again, slower this time, pressing your forehead to his. His hands fisted in the front of your jacket, pulling you closer, anchoring you to him like you might still disappear.
"Stay," he mouthed.
You nodded, voice wrecked and raw. "Always."
And then you kissed him again — harder, desperate — and he melted into you like he had been waiting his whole life for this.
⋆。°✩
You didn’t know how you got back to your room.
The storm had ended. The court was in chaos. Kaori — no, Kenjaku — had vanished with the tide. And yet, somehow, you were here, the boy in your arms, trembling like he couldn’t believe you were real.
The moonlight pooled across the floor in silver-blue waves. The bed creaked softly beneath your weight as you helped him sit, careful, reverent, like he might dissolve if you touched him too roughly.
His hair was still damp, sticking to his cheeks. His lips were red from your kisses. You didn’t know his name. You didn’t know his story. But you knew his eyes — you’d always known them — and that was enough.
He looked at you, chest rising and falling like he’d run miles just to be here. And when he reached out — hands clumsy, unsure — it was you who leaned in, pressing your mouth to his, slow and sure and deep enough to make him gasp.
Clothes slipped away like seafoam. Not rushed, not greedy — just... necessary. Like you’d both been waiting for this without even realising it. He was lean under your hands, sculpted by the current and salt and something softer underneath. He didn’t try to hide himself. There was no shame in the way he looked at you, only want. Trust.
You laid him back carefully, the way you’d handle something sacred. His legs framed your hips, his fingers tracing your jaw like he needed to memorise you. You kissed down his throat, over his collarbones, across his chest — pausing only when you felt the shiver run through him again.
"Okay?" you murmured, voice low.
He nodded, breathless.
You went slow.
You took your time with him — with your mouth, your hands, your everything. You kissed every inch you could reach. You made him fall apart with your tongue before you even pressed inside. And when he finally gasped and arched beneath you, eyes glassy with pleasure, it felt like the sea itself rose to meet you.
You held him through every thrust, every moan, every desperate whisper. And when he came — shaking, clinging, mouth open in a silent cry — you followed right after, burying your face in his shoulder, trying not to break in half from the way it felt to be wanted like that.
When it was over, you stayed tangled together in the sheets. Breathing. Listening to the ocean outside. Letting the quiet settle over you both like a promise.
His voice came at last — a hoarse whisper, barely a sound.
“...Suguru.”
You blinked. Looked down.
He gave you a tiny, tired smile. “My name. It’s Suguru.”
You swallowed hard. Nodded.
And in the silence that followed, you kissed him again.
Just because you could.
The sea had been quiet ever since Kenjaku vanished. No more sudden storms. No more secrets in the tide. Just warmth. Calm. Healing.
Suguru had never imagined he’d walk on legs — let alone walk down an aisle.
But there he was, dressed in white and gold, barefoot in the grass, arm linked with Gojo’s (who was somehow crying and smiling at the same time). The kingdom had gathered in the cliffside courtyard overlooking the ocean. Shells and petals lined the aisle. Musicians played softly. And at the altar, you waited — standing taller than you ever had, like the earth itself had been holding its breath for this moment.
When Suguru met your eyes, it was over. He laughed. You did too. Both of you lost to it — that stupid, breathless, aching kind of joy.
The ceremony was short. Sweet. Suguru’s father, still stiff with guilt, gave a reluctant blessing. Gojo (still sniffling) handed off the rings. And when you finally kissed him — husband and husband, above the sea, with the whole world watching — it didn’t feel like an ending.
It felt like the start of everything.
There was a party after, of course. Suguru twirled in his robes, kissed your cheek until you blushed, danced barefoot on the stone with his hair loose and his smile wild. Gojo sang an off-key love song while Nanami tried to shove cake into his face. Mai and Maki bickered over who got the bigger slice. You stood with Suguru’s hand in yours, watching them all, heart full in a way it had never been before.
And later — when the moon rose, and the guests had gone, and you carried Suguru into the bedroom like he weighed nothing at all — he whispered something against your chest that made you stop breathing entirely.
“I used to dream of being part of your world,” he said softly.
You kissed the words from his lips. “You are my world now.”
And outside, the sea sang softly to itself, content at last.
A fight between vampires and werewolves cost the principal more money than she wanted to spend on a wednesday. After the incident a new set of “special”, nonsense rules was made and they would not go away unless the culprits confessed to their “crime”.

ⵌ KATSEYE MASTERLIST ⵌ PART 1 - PART 2
It had to be a cruel joke right? No way the government allowed the Headmistress to basically sabotage her students’ lives – Let’s back down for a moment. October 15th, a normal Wednesday morning, ghouls of all kinds were gathering in the creepateria happily chit chatting between themselves or even gossiping about the juiciest and scariest drama ever.
You weren’t present when the fight broke down, for once you decided to rest, apparently it was a bad idea since the next day you woke up with a literal ghost, or maybe a spirit, in your dorm, standing at you from the foot of your bed ominously.
Freaked out you screamed at the top of your lungs – “Where’s Daniela?” – was your first thought, looking around her stuff seemed to be gone; did she move out overnight? What the actual fuck.
You later found out that the mysterious girl wasn’t a ghost but a Jangsonbeom, a shapeshifting white tiger. Even worse, she was studying you. She did promise not to steal your skin for the time being, which isn’t reassuring but at least something.
After you saw her unpack her stuff the realization that this wasn’t a dream downed on you, sitting up on the bed you watched her back carefully, her silky black hair, the way her furry white ears twitched and the way her body moved, it didn’t look right.
“Are you sure this is your real form, cause you look weird.” It came out meaner than you intended – “I’m Yoonchae, I’m real.”
“Riiight, Yoonchae, cool.” You stood up and leaned over to take a good look at her face and overall features. “And are you aware you’re supposed to have a belly button?” Your fingers pointed at the empty flat space on her tummy, straight skin with no hints at a possible piercing spot.
“What’s a belly button?” She had to be kidding you, but wait, maybe she wasn’t an expert on humanoid anatomy, that explained why it was missing. “This!” You said, lifting your shirt and pointing at your own belly button. “You get it once you’re born- How were you even born?”.
“Tigers.” – “So your real real form is actually a tiger. Are you a furry too?” She side eyed you and – Right, focus, why was she here.
“Did you kill my roommate?”
“No. It’s the new rule, werewolves and vampires can’t interact anymore.”
You blinked, looked at her as if she was gonna shape shift into a sign that said “April’s Fool” and then blinked again when she continued to fold her clothes. “WHAT?!” The yell scared her, Yoonchae glitched? Her eyes changed colors for a brief moment and her hands twitched. Her humanoid form was unstable. Predictable.
But there were bigger elephants in the room, like how you lost a privilege without knowing and how it was only the beginning of it all. You couldn’t waste your time sleeping again, the night was young and so were you. Stuck with a new roommate meant you could get to know her better.
“Yoonchaeeeeee, I’m bored!” As if you didn’t leave Daniela on read, you tossed your phone aside and moved onto the other girl’s bed, she didn’t push you away just stared. “I’m bored.” – “I heard you the first time.”
“You didn’t answer! UGH, if Dani was here-”
“Your girlfriend?” Your head snapped towards her, you went silent, too caught off guard; your mouth stayed opened, then closed, then opened again. “She’s not my… girlfriend. God, you need to learn social cues, love.”
“One of my friends said that you guys were dating.” She had friends, wow.
“Who?” – “Megan-”
“Oh… OH! No, she’s just delusional and extremely parasocial about me and Dani.” Yoonchae nodded, pretending to know what you meant with all those complicated words, she did it to shut you up, which didn’t work.
The rest of the night was spent with you yapping about how people work and her taking notes; when eventually she fell asleep from exhaustion or boredom, you left her side and wandered around the corridors of the school.
Monster High was deserted at that hour, the only people still around were the night guards and some ghosts, wandering around to scare the crap out of them.
You walked in complete silence until, at the turn of a corner, a tall, male figure ran into you – “What the fuck?!- Sunghoon?” The vampire became paler than he already was, he quickly hid behind whatever he was holding in his hands.
“Sorry Y/n- See you later- Tomorrow! See you tomorrow at the drama club.” He ran off mumbling swear words under his breath. You weren’t even in the drama club. Whatever, his rambling didn’t bother you anymore, you were used to it since childhood.
“At this point I’m going to develop carpal tunnel, all because of a fucking fight!”
Listening to your whines became Yoonchae’s new favorite activity, unwillingly she stuck by your side and now you were basically part of a chaotic group that also included Megan and her hot roommate, Lara.
The reason you were unhappily walking down the hallways, holding your right wrist, was caused by the new rules Headmistress Bloodgood forced upon vampires and werewolves.
Since the fight of two days before damaged the school building really badly, like broken tables and a smashed window, these restrictions were a temporary (or eternal) punishment meant to terrorize the culprits to come forward.
Vampires had to wear silver bracelets while werewolves’ necks were adorned with a necklace made out of garlic fiber, the smell was unbearable but Bloodgood wanted the message to pass.
It had been more than a week since the restrictions were applied and still nothing. They kept the natural enemies away from each other but nothing else – “Just take it off.” Lara said while taking a selfie, you glared at her.
“I tried! This thing won’t come off without it beeping nonstop.”
“I heard the headmistress did it to make sure no one outsmarts it. Yet the garlic necklaces are enough of a bother because of the smell.” Megan reasoned; it made sense, you’d rather have an aching wrist than smell like an expired food product.
You hoped a kind soul would take the blame for everything and put an end to the nightmare you were living. “Do it yourself, duh.” your conscience scoffed, but your soul wasn’t a kind one.
Tired, you decided to get to the bottom of it.
Yoonchae helped you, still unwillingly, shapeshifting into people to gather information about that fatidic day, yet no one was dumb enough to fall for it – She often missed key details about the ghoul’s look.
Megan and Lara didn’t want to get involved in such a time wasting task, so you were basically alone. You had Dani, but she was oddly detached from anything involving the creepeteria fight.
You could only resort to texts now, but you had seen her with her new roommate, another werewolf, her name was Danielle Marsh. It was a funny coincidence that brightened up your day: when someone said “Dani” both would turn around, one confused and the other happy to be there.
Yet it didn’t feel normal, going back to your routine was difficult since part of it – Daniela — was taken away. You missed her a little more when, late at night, Yoonchae preferred sleeping over hearing about your pathetic father – He had self esteem problems because of his own father, Dracula.
Classes became an excuse to investigate and parties the only gate away from your new shitty situation. But she never reached out first, not anymore; you were confused, how could someone go from texting you about the stupidest thing to ignoring you completely – everything started to get on your nerves, you snapped at everything.
Yoonchae kept her distance even more, now leaving the dorm after hearing you grumble at your phone for more than two minutes. Megan stopped coming over – “I’ve got schoolwork to take care of.” She had said, but you knew it was bullshit – Lara was never your friend to begin with but stuck around, she was the one to give you a precious advice: “If you’re so invested into this fight thing just go talk to Sophia Laforteza, that girl knows everything.”
Sophia wasn’t a good name, only “dangerous” ghouls were associated with her; she was a far descendant of the one and only Cleo de Nile, and just like her, the queen bee of Monster High. Her minions were everywhere, all having the same scar on their palm, proof of a blood bond.
Another thing about Sophia was her being a vampire too, sorta, she was a Manananggal which meant that she could basically pop her legs off her body to escape any situation. You’d be surprised at how many times she had done that.
You were allowed to talk to her, so, all that was left was finding out her dorm number, not a problem, she had it in her penstagram bio alongside a link to her Only Fangs… That’s where her expensive clothes come from.
“Number 1094, cool, I hope she’s in here.”
You knocked once and almost immediately a gorgeous sea monster opened the door, she frowned upon seeing you – “Who are you?” She inquired; you gulped, her sharp nails lingered on the wooden door dangerously.
“I need to talk to Sophia-”
“That’s a long name.” The girl said with an amused smirk – “Let her in Manon, don’t be ridiculous.” Sophia’s high pitched and annoyed voice came from behind who you guessed was Manon.
She eventually moved out the way and let you in, you stepped inside and stood in the middle of the room not sure if you were there to talk to the queen bee or have a mythical threesome with her and her roommate – your guts were more inclined on the second one.
“What do you want then? Speak up normie, I don’t have all day.” Despite the alluring voice her kind was supposed to have, you really couldn’t stand Sophia’s: she sounded like a group of ducks getting crammed into a recording studio, all quacking at once.
“I wanna know who started the fight in the creepeteria, I’m tired of this shitty thing. It’s heavy and doesn’t match my aesthetic.” You raised your arm to show the torture device, aka, the silver bracelet.
Your directness appealed to Sophia who adjusted herself on her elbows, you noticed her legs weren’t there, so there was probably a mess of blood and limbs under the covers, how it didn’t smell of rotten it was a miracle, or black magic, probably both.
“I see…” She purred, you weren’t going to like the answer, she looked too excited to tell you. “... It was your good old friend, Daniela. She–”
A horrified gasp escaped you. “Daniela?! What the fuck?!” You left, furious, running out of the room so fast that Manon swore she saw smoke coming from your feet; Sophia laughed, a rich sound that filled the room and made Manon bite her lips.
“You’re terrible, Phia.” – “I’m getting paid for this.” The vampire said, getting back to her favorite activity, stalking people on the internet, especially her multiple crushes, yes, multiple.
“For lying? Don’t you already do that for free?” Manon left the door to go straight to her closet, she searched for something Sophia didn’t care about. “Daniela’s new roommate got tired of seeing the girl look like a kicked puppy because of the new rules. She called me up and thanks to a few other people Y/n came here and you know the rest.” – “For the records, I’m not lying, Daniela started the fight for real.”
The sea monster girl almost dropped one of her flimsy tops to the ground, Daniela was a little aggressive but starting such a brutal fight seemed too much, even for her.
“Wait, really?”
“Really, all because of the hoe who just walked out. Apparently Sunghoon ran his mouth about being her perfect match a little too loudly and Daniela snapped.”
Manon let out another laugh, she tried imagining the guy and Y/n together, they’d probably fight over who got to be the passenger princess; the childhood best friends trope couldn’t apply to that evil twink (as she called him) and that pussy-eating femme.
“Let me guess, his brothers got involved and so did Dani’s pack?”
“Yup, then they fought, kicked each other, bit each other…? No one has sent me the videos yet.” Sophia frowned, quickly closing penstagram to text someone, in the minute of silence Manon decided to finally choose a somewhat decent outfit to put on the next day.
“Oh yeah-” Sophia began “Basically the camera footage got lost and whoever had video evidence got threatened to delete it. Those seven really got to work not to ruin their already fragile reputation.”
“Do you think Y/n’s gonna snitch?”
“No. She only cares about yelling at her soon to be girlfriend.”
Sophia was right, you were seeing red – Daniela knew you were hating the rules, your complaints didn’t miss a day, and it wasn’t only you of course, everyone hated them. Instead of taking accountability for her stupid actions she decided to stay silent and also ignore you; did she not trust you anymore? She could’ve been honest, that’s what you were most annoyed about.
The dorms’ doors blurred into a mess of wood and numbers, you weren’t sure where Dani’s new room was, she never told you directly but eavesdropping gets people far.
Daniela’s room, number 2205, you reached it easily.
Once in front of the door your foot hit it really hard, the wood almost broke but at least it opened, slamming against the adjacent wall and scaring the heck out of the two werewolves. Danielle fell from her bed, Daniela, seeing your face, pulled the covers up to her face to hide.
“What is wrong with you?!” The aussie yelled, more frightened than mad. Mad wasn't an option in her language.
You stood there, waiting silently for one of them to invite you in, Danielle stared at you weirdly, slowly getting up, the latina opened her eyes and looked at you through the covers; they both gave each other a look, Danielle was confused as to why you seemed to be waiting – “Vampires don’t come in uninvited.” Explained Daniela.
“Oh so she’s polite?! Don’t let her in, her aura is scaring me!”
“Having her standing there won’t be any better!” Now Dani, your Dani, was starting to panic. You glared at her hoping looks would suddenly kill, she gulped, audibly and then mumbled. “Y-You can… You can come in, if you want-”
At the speed of light you stepped foot inside the room, Danielle took the opportunity to try and escape but your foot caught on her tail so instead of running away she fell with her ass to the floor.
“You’re staying right here.”
The girl whined, staring at the opened door, hoping for someone to walk by and save her from this crazy situation – She paid to let it happen but didn’t expect you to be this feral.
Your head snapped towards your (ex) roommate, anger evident in your eyes – “You have a lot to explain-”
“Cat!” The girl at your feet yelled, you turned around, foot stepping away from her tail. When the pressure lowered, she practically jumped to her feet and ran out of the room – You heard a loud commotion before the door slammed shut.
You immediately went to open it, your hands wrapped around the doorknob to twist it but nothing happened, the door wasn’t opening. “What a fucking coincidence.”
With the mechanism jammed the only people in the room were you and the girl who made you overthink every little interaction you have ever had with her.
A shadow suddenly engulfed you, the smell of garlic became so strong that you coughed, gagged even – “You smell awful.” You said, turning around to face none other than Daniela; she had gotten closer while you struggled to open the door.
“Yeah, these rules-”
“They are your fault.” She closed her mouth, her eyes went wide then softened once they locked with your disappointed ones. “Who even told you that?”
“Sophia Laforteza, she knows everything, you should’ve thought twice before… Uhhh, who did you fight?”
Daniela casually rested her hands on the door, trapping you between her body and the wooden surface. Real smooth – “Sunghoon and his group, he was running his mouth as always.”
You knew what she was referring to, the guy had various things he liked to announce to the world during lunch time, one of them was how he was the perfect man for you, he had various reasons and once came up with a list that later got leaked by one of his brothers. It would've been cute if only you weren’t into girls, not even then actually.
“Right, so you did what? Punch him? Real smart puppy.” You flicked her forehead, the silver bracelet barely touching her skin; she hissed, tilting her head away but not pulling back from you. “Silver-”
“Sorry, my bad.” Your hand retracted, not fully, enough to slide on her shoulder, so did the other. The action made her shiver, both of you not knowing if it was because of the silver or something else.
Daniela wanted to explain, say sorry for ignoring you for the past week or two, though she couldn’t focus with you so close; your hands on her shoulder weren’t necessary, not when you were so mad at her, right?
“I did.” – “Hm?” You got lost too at some point, the garlic was making you dizzy and so did her closeness. Daniela punched Sunghoon, what a way to start a story. “Oh right- Then?”
Not even your voice was convincing, the anger left your body the second you became aware of her eyes roaming your face, very soon then. “I first punched him…” She trailed off and slowly got closer. “... then I got jumped by all seven of them.”
“That’s hot. Did you win?” It was a whispered, half joking half serious, you asked her to elevate her wounded pride. The answer was so obvious. “Nah, I earned another battle scar though, it’s on my back, I could-”
“Shut up, you’re rambling.” And like that you leaned in and kissed her, it wasn’t soft, there was no need to go slow and gentle with Daniela, not when your relationship was built on mutual teasing and aggressively annoying each other.
Her hands left the door to grab the back of your thighs and effortlessly lift you up, she slammed you against the door, in return you bit down on her tongue right as it intertwined with yours. She groaned, pulling back enough for a string of saliva and blood to appear connecting your mouths.
Her blood tasted good, a little metallic yet… good. You felt like you couldn’t get enough already – “You bit me.” She mumbled, red liquid coming out of her mouth and dripping down her chin, slowly, as if it was daring you to lean in and taste it again.
“And you got hard, freak.” It was true, Daniela was into biting which wasn’t a surprise given the plenty of marks she had left on your body when you two were on “good” terms, yet you didn’t think she also liked being on the receiving end of what was the beginning of a cannibalistic act.
She didn’t reply, just pressed harder against you and connected your lips again; she was hungry now, and you were too, moaning as you tasted her blood for the second time that night – A faint mechanic sound could be heard every time Dani’s hips moved forward, against you.
It was too late when you both realized it was the door’s locking mechanism; it unjammed right when she pulled down her sweatpants.
Another thrust and the door opened leaving your back without support.
Daniela lost balance and fell forward – “Shit!” was her last word before her face hit the ground with a thud; you had saved yourself by turning into a bat at the last second and appeared sitting on top of the werewolf’s back as if nothing happened.
“You good down there?” – “Hmpf! No! I think I broke something.” Her voice was muffled by her face being pressed down on the floor. “Get off.” She grumbled, her hand reached back to try and push you off. You listened to her, not before giving her ass a good slap.
“Ow! What is with you today?!” She lifted her head off the floor, looking up at you with an offended and annoyed expression, her forehead was red, her nose bleeding a little. Nothing was broken though, only her ego and dignity.
“That’s for ignoring me, mutt.”
“I was scared to tell you the truth– Wait, don’t go!” She tried standing up but fell over again by tripping on her pants which were still bunched around her ankles. Daniela pulled them up and followed you, swiping off the dust from her shirt. “You were pissed about the rules and I didn’t want to make you even more mad. I’m sorry.”
“Apologizing to me won’t change anything.” – “It’s not like I can rat myself out like that! My pack was with me, they’ll be in trouble too!” She argued, it was clear the situation wouldn’t be solved easily.
“Find a way to fix this. I won’t be walking around wearing this shitty bracelet for another week, and please take a shower, you stink more than any other day.” With that you disappeared leaving behind a trail of smoke and bats, typical vampire move.
“Rude…” Daniela mumbled, she smelled herself and gagged. “Yeah, I do need a shower.”
I humbly request for anything spicy for Robert x male villain reader <333
What the hell
Robert Robertson x male reader
⚠︎You didn't specify who's the bottom, so... bottom Robert, top reader, reader is a shapeshifter, sex in the kitchen⚠︎
☢︎︎Minors and girls do not interact☢︎︎
☞︎︎︎Y/n is a villain, but he's also friends with a dispatcher. Y/n wants to get the dispatcher into bed, so he decides to test his ways.☜︎︎︎
✍︎ 2264
Y/n is a known shapeshifter villain.
He goes by See-Through
Is he evil? Not necessarily. He's just bad.
If y/n is being honest, he's getting tired. There's no action. No fun. How can he have excitement in this life when he can escape so easily?
No one knows what he looks like. He could be standing right next to them, and they wouldn't know. Which is why the cops have given up on looking for him. That left the SDN trying their best to find him. With no success.
Actually, that's a lie. One person does know what he looks like. And that's Robert Robertson.
Robert and Y/n have been rivals for as long as they can remember. But neither of them actually hates each other. Quite the opposite actually.
Sometimes, Y/N pranks the dispatcher by pretending to be someone from the Z-team or maybe even Beef.
No one knows that, of course. To everyone else, Y/n is an evil man who's hiding because he's plotting. He's not. The only thing he's plotting is how he'll get the former Mecha Man into his bed.
Robert let out a soft groan as he leaned back in his chair. He looked around the office. Barely anyone was here. Which is why he could immediately tell that the Invisigal walking towards him wasn't actually her.
He sighed and took off his headphones. "What do you want, y/n?" The man behind Courtney's face huffed. "Seriously? Was I that obvious?" He asked as he sat on Robert's desk. He stayed visible as Courtney, looking over the dispatcher's face.
"Invisigal doesn't usually stay visible when walking towards people." Y/n huffed at Robert's matter-of-fact response. "Yeah, okay, that was a cheap fail on my end."
Robert crossed his arms as he leaned back in his chair. "So what do you want?" He asked again.
"Me, you, your place." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. Robert scoffed. "Real smooth."
"So at 8?" Y/n hummed as he hopped off the table. Robert watched him walk towards the door.
And at 8, Robert stood by his door waiting for a knock or something. A knock did come, but Y/n didn't stand behind the door. No, it was a box who was behind the door.
Robert raised an eyebrow as he looked over the box. It had the text "Damaged bottom" on it. He scoffed and opened it. Inside was a mirror reflecting his own face right back at him.
"Ha!" Y/n grinned as he stood over him. "Ha ha, very funny," Robert huffed and lifted the box to take it inside. Y/n followed him in and closed the door.
"So who would you like me to be?" Y/n smirked as he walked towards the former Mecha Man.
"What?" Robert questioned as he looked at y/n with confusion. Y/n shifted into Courtney as he made his way towards him. "I just wanna see who gets you going the most." He said in her voice.
The dispatcher huffed and leaned against his counter. He crossed his arms as he watched the shifter, not amused. He raised an eyebrow once y/n stood about a meter in front of him.
Y/n let out a hum as he looked for a reaction. "No?" He murmured. When Robert shook his head, y/n hummed a soft okay before shifting into Blond Blazer. "What about now?" He teased in her voice.
When Robert shook his head again, y/n seemed surprised. "No? Okay. What about..." He swirled and shifted into none other than Flambae.
The dispatcher seemed even less amused than before. Y/n raised an eyebrow and tried again, but this time he shifted into Phenomaman.
"Seriously?" Robert laughed. "He kissed me once." He huffed. The shifter squinted his eyes as he watched the dispatcher's reaction closely. He shifted into Malevola. Nothing.
"Seriously? Not even the sexy demon bitch?" Y/n huffed as he shifted back into his body.
There. There it is. That reaction he was looking for. "Wait..." He shifted onto Courtney again and watched closely. When nothing came, he shifted back into himself. Robert's pupils dilated.
"Nuh uh." Y/n said in disbelief as he stepped closer. He shifted into Flambae. Nothing. He shifted back. Robert's pupils dilated again.
Robert raised an eyebrow, unaware of what the hell was happening. He was starting to get annoyed by the villain's constant shifting.
Y/n shifted into waterboy. This time, Robert's eyes widened in surprise. But that wasn't it. He shifted back and - "Enough." Robert snapped him out of his whatever it was.
The shifter's mouth parted into an o. "You like me." "What?" "You like me! Your pupils dilated every time you saw me!" Y/n said with a growing smile.
The dispatcher's eyes widened, but this time in panic. "No. I don't." He said and pushed off the counter so he could go make a drink or something. Anything to hide his growing blush.
Y/n grinned and practically bounced on his spot. "Ha! You like me!" He said as he followed him. "You're blushing."
"You're delusional." Robert scoffed as he poured himself some water.
Y/n grabbed him by the hips and pressed his chest against his back. He leaned towards Robert's deformed ear. "You like me," he whispered.
The dispatcher dropped the glass of water and gasped. A shiver ran down his spine when he felt Y/n's breath on his neck. He faught back a groan of pleasure once he processed the proximity.
"You want me," Y/n whispered and kissed the shell of Robert's ear. The dispatcher's eyes closed, and his head leaned back. "What if I do?" He asked quietly.
The shifter smirked and ran his tongue over the hole in Robert's helix. Robert cursed under his breath quietly. He quickly turned around and crashed his lips against Y/n's.
Y/n smirked but didn't hesitate to return the kiss. "Where's your bedroom?" He asked against the dispatcher's lips.
"Forget the bedroom," Robert muttered and flipped them so he could hop up on the kitchen island. Y/n immediately settles between the dispatcher's legs and kisses him again. "Well, aren't you eager?" He teased as he ran his hands up Robert's thighs until he reached his belt.
He didn't wait and unbuckled it. He popped the button of the dispatcher's jeans and lowered the zip. He leaned in to kiss his neck.
Robert tilted his head aside and moaned. He tugged at the villain's shirt.
They shed their clothes pretty quick. Both of them were now naked and making out on the kitchen island. "Who would've guessed you'd be such an eager bottom, Robbie." Y/n teased as he fingered the dispatcher.
A soft scoff escaped Robert's lips, but his hands tightened their grip on y/n's shoulders. "Please," He begged. The villain smirked and looked over his face. "Please what, pretty boy?" "Please, I need more." Robert pleaded by moving his hips down against y/n's hand.
The shifter gave a subtle nod and added a third finger. "Good enough?" He purred. Y/n kissed and mouthed at Robert's chest, especially the nipples.
Robert moaned and arched his back. He used one hand to tug at Y/n's hair and one hand to grip the edge of the counter. His dick twitched as it leaked a little bit of precum.
"You sound so beautiful." Y/n praised. He lifted his free hand to toy with Robert's balls. The former Mecha Man gasped. His eyes widened, and his body leaned into Y/n's.
"Fuck, Y/n, please-" He gasped as he tugged at the villain's hair. "What do you want, pretty boy?" Y/n asked as he pulled back to look at Robert. "You. Need you." He grunted.
Y/n smirked and pulled his fingers out. "Would you like me to change my dick into something more?" He teased while stroking his cock. "Maybe a tentacle dick?" He offered as he lined up.
Robert shook his head. "No. Just you." He spread his legs and watched Y/n disappear in his ass. He let out a loud moan and threw his head back. "Good god." He gasped out.
When y/n bottomed out, Robert immediately started to push back against him. "Move." He doesn't know if he's pleading or ordering, but he needs the shifter to move now before he loses his mind.
The villain nods. He grabs the dispatcher's hips to hold him in place and starts to move. He leans down so he can mark up Robert's neck. "Mmm, I've wanted this for so long." He grunts.
The dispatcher moaned and wrapped his arms around the villain's shoulders. "Fuck... Y/n..." He moaned. He leaned his head back to allow y/n more space for kissing.
Both men moaned and cursed under their breaths. Robert could feel bruises forming on his hips from Y/n's tight grip. He gripped the shifter's hair and tugged his head back until he could crash their lips together.
Y/n moaned into the kiss and pushed his tongue into the other's lips.
Robert's ass hurt from the constant dragging against the countertop, but he ignored it. He was more focused on not coming right then and there. He started to move his hips as well to meet Y/n's thrusts halfway.
The dispatcher saw the shifter's cocky grin, so he kissed him to wipe it off his face. His hands tangled in y/n's hair to hold him in the kiss. Their tongues fought for dominance.
Robert gasped when the shifter his his prostate spot on. "Fuck." He cursed under his breath. He leaned down to bite at y/n's neck. "Right there." He grunted.
"Yes, sir." Y/n groaned and focused on that spot. He finally let go of Robert's hips to rest his hands on the counter. The dispatcher was practically caged, but he didn't mind.
"Is this all you got?" Robert smirked. The shifter practically growled. "You want more? I'll give you more." And with that, y/n used his shapeshifting powers to make his dick bigger.
The dispatcher's eyes widened. His mouth fell open, and his back arched. "That's-" He moaned. "Not fair." His eyes closed as he enjoyed the feeling of Y/n's now bigger cock hitting his G-spot rapidly.
Y/n smirked again. He added pressure to his thrusts so he could overstimulate the dispatcher's prostate.
"Not fair," Robert repeated as he felt his climax near. This is embarrassing. He can't be so close already. He shut his eyes and moaned. He can't help it.
"Why? You close?" Y/n teased. He reached down and started to stroke Robert's dick. He specifically avoided the tip just to torture the man.
The dispatcher whined. "Prick." He cursed and thrust up into the shifter's hand. He needed this release. He doesn't care if he comes too early. There's always a chance for more rounds anyway.
"Fuck, y/n..." He moaned. He dropped his head on the shifter's shoulder as he clung on for dear life. "Please tell me you're close as well..."
"Don't worry, Rob, I'm close too," Y/n murmured and kissed his neck. "You feel too good for me not to be close."
The kitchen was filled with grunts and moans. Sometimes, even a soft squeak of Robert's ass moving against the countertop.
Y/n's back burned from the dispatcher's scratching, while Robert's legs hurt from being pressed against the edge of the counter. Did they care? No.
The shifter only cared when he heard the dispatcher let out a high moan. He takes that as a sign that he's close. He lifted a hand to play with Robert's tip. He wants to maximize his stimulation. His lips wrapped around one of Robert's nipples, and he teasingly grazed it with his teeth.
It didn't take much longer for the dispatcher to tremble with climax. Y/n held him through it and slowed his thrusts. He didn't stop just yet, though. He stopped when Robert's body gave a violent jump when his tip grazed his prostate. He gently pulled out and immediately started to stroke himself so he could nut.
Robert reached out a shaky hand and helped the shifter. He stroked his cock and pulled him into a lazy kiss. Y/n moaned and came over the dispatcher's stomach.
The dispatcher leaned back so he could lie on the cold counter. The cold material was very welcome against his heated skin. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he felt Y/n pepper soft and lazy kisses on his chest, he reached up to gently graze his fingers through his hair.
"I should send the cops on you..." Robert's words held no actual threat. They both know he'd never do that. He likes the shifter way too much. Plus, he has a feeling that he's able to keep the villain out of trouble.
Y/n chuckled tiredly and rested his head on Robert's chest. He also closed his eyes and listened to the man's heartbeat.
A loud bark from Beef startled both men. They quickly got up and looked towards the dog, who was sitting by his empty food bowl. Robert groaned and rubbed his face. He lay back down.
The shifter chuckled and pulled away. "Where's the food?" He asked as he already made his way towards the bowl so he could fill it up.
"Broken cupboard." The dispatcher mumbled.
Maybe it's a good thing Beef interrupted them. He almost fell asleep. If he did, his body would hate him for sleeping on the counter.
Robert lifted his hand so he could watch y/n fill the bowl and bring it to the chubby dog, who was patiently waiting with zero thoughts behind those eyes.
"Do you think he knows his daddy just got basically mated?"
Your abusive jacked uncle always intruded with your life because, as he put it, "my roof, my rules," and you couldn't do anything but obeyed him. It's not like you have any relatives left and clearly you have no guts to abandon your schooling altogether because you are this close to get your degree. One more year and you'll be free from your uncle's toxic homophobic rein and move to your own place as soon as you get a job where you can also pay for your own bills. But until then, you are his helper and also punching bag everytime he got frustrated with the sports team he supported (and bet on), his many rotation of bitches that always caused him to moan and roar like a lion yet also annoyed as fuck everytime they acted up or the clients he trained pissing him off. Anything that's wrong on his day, you got served with something by him.
Knowing how he likes to check on your packages or make a sudden "search & destroy" of your room as he flipped things upside down just because of a magazine he found to be "sus", you decided to blow his curiosity to his own face with the help of your new friends. Well, more like, your new friends used your body to then plot their way to gain access to your uncle's, and more.
"Yo twerp, what the fuck are you doing buying pills and protein powder like these? And where the fuck do you get all the money to buy all this??"
Hearing no response or steps from the 2nd floor, your Uncle Jordan decided to check out what's inside the tub. Bunch of translucent pills with glowing blue gel-like texture contained inside it. He's pretty sure he never seen any supplement this....pretty, not from this brand as far as he concerned
"Maybe it's the Fairy Series to attract fags like him," he scoffed to himself, picturing you ordering the product based on its color and glow. Wait....is drinking this going to make me a fag, he thought to himself, but curiosity really killed the cat as expected as he downed the pill in one go and that became the last thing his human self ever did.
The shapeshifting tiny alien he just downed shifted into its more invasive form. The translucent part, upon contact after melt with any organ, quickly numbed it as if the organ froze within seconds and stopped functioning. As if getting choked and then followed by a heart attack, Jordan dropped to the floor like a stiff board on the edge of losing his consciousness. As the numbness spreads wider and the blue gel-like liquid finally released from its translucent casing, it instantly made its way to rein free over the subject's brain, invading every single nook and cranny to gain full understanding and control of its future host. The invasion caused the body to flail around on the floor and all the veins flexed so hard as the blue liquid established full control over the motoric systems and coordinate the heart to pump tainted blood to the area previously affected by the translucent beings for a full takeover. No matter how hard your uncle screamed and resisted the invasion, he's a lost cause and you heard his agonizing last minutes right as your final class of the day ended.
The alien in control of your brain triggered you to go home right away the moment it received the signal that the control has been finalized. After ignoring some calls and invitations from friends to hang out after classes, you walked so fast back home to see your uncle finally having the same mindset as you, the same mindset all controlled by the alien invader that wanted to establish their tiny colony on Earth. As you walked inside your uncle's house after 15 minutes walk, he greeted you right away in the foyer
"Welcome home, twerp. Feels fucking good inside of him, definitely way better than being inside yours,"
The alien in control of your brain controlled you to smile, the same exact smile as your uncle's, which then compelled him to approach you. But, instead of maintaining the similar dynamic between you, the submissive and meek one, and your uncle, the domineering one, the alien in control of your uncle caused your uncle's body to kneel and kiss your feet
"Thanks to your brilliance, Elder, that I can ended up inside such a fitting host. And also, the others,"
The others? Your confusion quickly answered as you turned around, you realized that one of your neighbor walked up from the basement only wearing his bathrobe and dried swimming briefs.
Then, from the guest room on your right, three men walked out to the foyer, all of them friends of your uncle that frequently trashed the home everytime they visited to watch football or wrestling matches together
Even before you turned to the other side, you can sense the presence of someone's else in the house beside these people. When one of the lacrosse jokes suddenly leaped at you then kissed you on your feet, you were taken aback because right behind him, the wrestling team head coach also appeared from behind him. The wrestling head coach smile quickly vanished as soon as he realized you were possessed by the Elder as the easy-going look turned serious within seconds and he bowed his head to you and stand up on guard, showing his obedience to you
"How did this happen? All of this?" you managed to ask while the alien in control of you are still in awe of the amount of vessels your uncle managed to pull off
"They are all not yet fully converted, hence the lack of signal to indicate it to the Elder inside of you about a success takeover. The distribution is simple, a hush-hush info about the latest innovation on tren, all of my closest gymbro instantly leaped to the bait. The neighbor witnessed too much body flailing, so I just terrorized him right away and shoved one pill to his gaping mouth. The coach and the junior-year jock, oh they're fucking next-door. But we stopped short of fully converting them as we prefer to feel the buzz altogether, including witnessing you enjoying the buzz, Elder,"
"Wait....what? The buzz?"
"Yeah, the full conversion. Maybe you were far before, hence it feels a little bit tame. But this......get ready for the Buzz!"
And just like that, you suddenly found yourself rolling your eyes to the back of your head while feeling incredibly weak as your knee trembled as you realized the kind of Earth-shattering buzz that run through your body as each of these bodies fall victim to the full takeover with no way back. You can feel your cock hardened to its limit and your brain mushy trying to create some semblance of normalcy, but the buzz is just too much! You have no idea how the other feels during these "buzz" period, but is it because an Elder reside inside of yourself so you ended up feeling so much? One thing for sure, for now, you could only writhe in delight as these buzzes hit your body in an endless waves of irresistible pleasure
End of Pt 1

Not really sure about this one but I just need to scratch an itch. Thanks for tuning in
Little story on how this AU came to be, I was on a call with my friend that knows nothing about crk the other day while I was drawing SMC. I was a little bit upset that my blues were running out of ink and my friend suggested to 'just make him pink'. I said 'oh okay, cool what should I make him do?'
This man says very casually something along the lines of 'Make him stand on a podium, giving a PowerPoint presentation trying to explain to a business/company how he's not an alien.' So uh-
That's how this image came to be.
Anyways the ideas started flooding from there. And of course since it's me I had to make it shadowvanilla lol
Anyways actual AU plot time :)
This au is supposed to give off weird modern AU vibes with a twist of SM being an alien. So like- no insane magic like cannon crk, maybe some small spells. But the setting is built/works similarly to modern society.
SM is an alien sent to earthbread after him and his team (the beasts) loose 5 important crystals (the other souljams) there.
Him and the other beasts use shapeshifting to blend in with the cookies while they search for the souljams. But after a while they all figure out that they need to do cookie-like things to actually blend in. This includes getting an apartment and a job.
SM ends up working at a burger joint and here he meets an annoyingly bright coworker named Pure Vanilla. They don't get along for a while but eventually they start to warm up to each other. PV ofc doesn't know SM's an alien.
Shadow Milk does not like his minimum wage job.
Here are a few sketches of his potential designs while he's disguised as a cookie. He looses the eyes in his hair and it has more blue in it. Idk
If you saw any grammar errors or things that didn't make sense in this. That's because I wrote this at 1am and they don't make sense. Bear with me please :)
ALSO! If you guys have any questions about the au feel free to leave me asks about it. I'd love to yap more about this, even if I don't go very far with it.
I'm also open to expanding on the idea and giving a little bit of PV's pov if you want.
Thinking of a sort of 'in the path of redemption' AU or smt like that where Shadow Milk ends up working as a children's party entertainer and he kinda likes it, a bunch of the time he hates it, but for some reason he keeps doing it.
I don't have much of this figured out so I'm working on vague ideas and vibes, like always. Something something after whatever final showdown against DE happens and the Beasts are not sealed again.
I'm debating myself if they should keep all the power of their soul jams or not. Part of me thinks the idea of somehow them not being able to access their full power is kinda funny, like their halves of the soul jams disowned them and don't recognize them as their owners anymore. Like the half sentient things the soul jams are. They just don't vibe with them and instead choose to lurk around, floating closer to their ancient counterparts most of the time. And by the same logic, the Beasts also stay closer, because they want to get them back
(although I'm sure Eternal Sugar doesn't really need the excuse to be with HollyBerry, idk about Silent Salt's reaction either, he is a mystery to me.)
They aren't helpless nor completely powerless, but their magic went down a lot more than they would've liked to deal with. They can defend themselves perfectly fine but can't overpower their ancients nor reclaim their soul jams back by brute power alone.
How is any of this side plot involved with Shadow Milk and his new job as a kid's party clown?
That wasn't his first option when he wanted to occupy himself with something else. Nor his second, or third option...
Not everyone can be fond of his bombastic personality or his deep and conveying theater plays, people can't appreciate good art anymore! If it's too disturbing for them then they have the palate of a doughy baby.
So he doesn't last too long on any job he takes. What remains of his power allows him to shapeshift for some hours everyday, float a little, use telekinesis, do a couple tricks, but nothing more than that. It's frustrating. Infuriating. But it's also too exhausting to waste energy getting angry at it at this point.
So, as a professional performer and well versed in the many ways of providing entertainment, there are only so many possible jobs he could do by going solo.
I don't have it that clear what triggers the situation for him to start. Probably a trick to a random kid on the street, maybe in hopes to scare the little bugger who was rudely staring at him as if he was a freak from a circus. But instead the pipsqueak giggled and applauded. And then they called their parents. By chance, coincidence or luck or whatever, they were looking for an entertainer to help in their kid's birthday party, and well, neighbors comment on the particular blue cookie who is seen roaming around without anything much to do almost every day so surely he must have some free time, right?
As offensive as it is, he could use some of that money. Stealing and scamming people is not a good long term tactic if he will stay around for a while.
At first I thought he could be living in Pure Vanilla's castle, like always, but this Smilk feels a bit too prideful on wanting to not depend on PV that much, so I think he would get his own house. He only sticks around because his treacherous soul jam has stuck to Pure Vanilla like a fly to a pile of scum.
It's ok. He will get it back one way or another. And once he does he is dooming this goddamn half baked kingdom and it's stupid denizens.
Meanwhile he has to prepare for the next show. A big venue, lots of children, the parent hired him for the whole package of painting faces, contests and dancing for two hours. If they hired a bouncy castle it would be super annoying trying to get the kids to work with him. Damn thing hypnotizes them.
It could be worse, really. At least he is his own boss, there is almost no competition in the vanilla kingdom in the party entertainer market and apparently even his morbid jokes like separating his head from his body or summoning illusions to chase the guests have a public among the young cookies. Either they like to be scared or have the survival instincts of a rock.
Warning: Smut, degrading, dirty talk, slight breeding kink, mention of violence, rough sex, choking, punishment, MDI - let me know if I forgot something!
Summary: Your body listens to the moon. You can shapeshift and every full moon your weakness is forced to unfold. Unfortunately, living in a submarine makes you miss some full moons, therefore coming back up lets you feel the moon more intense. This full moon you can feel your heat ripping you apart and the only person to calm you down is your captain.
English is not my first language!
———————————————————————
You roll your neck as you sigh with an annoyed hint of anger. "Is he back or still abandoning us?" you say laughing as you walk into the room and look at the others. "Hey! Stop saying that all the time!" Penguin shouts and jumps in front of you. "Yeah, he would never!" Shachi joins and soon you have them together shouting at you with Bepo. You roll your eyes and look at them with a bored glare.
"Oh, suck it up" you say and shake your head, "Well, then so it is, maybe he’s gone for good" you say with a pathetic laugh and turn around to leave the others again but bump into the black haired captain looking at you with a straight face.
"Abandoning you?“ he asks with a low voice and watches your face turn into an angry expression.
"Where were you?" You shoot back and cross your arms in front of your chest, eyes narrowing his figure and lips pressing into a line. "I told you that" he simply replies, the crew is already looking at each other silently, the tension can be cut with a knife just by hearing the sharpness in your voices. There is something in the air with you two that the crew can’t put together.
You hold your hand in front of his face before leaving, no comment — you just left him and the crew there. He doesn’t look after you, simply raises his eyebrow and ignores your behaviour, or tries to.
"She started behaving like that two days ago, captain“ Penguin mumbles and sighs.
Bepo nods frequently, "she is super angry!" He adds and notices his captain‘s face turn from bored to slightly confused.
He nods, "I will deal with it later" he simply states and rubs his temples, walks out of the room and takes a turn to his office.
Your back is leaning against your door, breath heavy and body sweating. You are hot, burning hot and everything hurts, even worse, you’re in heat. You close your eyes and drop to the floor, resting your head against the door and clenching your hand into a fist. Your skin draws blood and it is when you realize that your claws are out. You curse under your breath and look around, not knowing how much time passed but it is silent.
You get up, knees weak and legs shaking. You make your way out of your room and walk out on deck. You growl out of pain before jumping off the submarine and walking into the forest.
You need to get it together, you need to bring down your heat and that you would do in town.
It is worse than ever, you were nearly down underwater every day for the past weeks — you missed one full moon. This will be hard for you, every emotion is currently building up. Everything beginning from anger to lust and it makes you lose any self control.
You hide behind trees, spying on potential victims and try to keep quiet.
Focussing your eyes on one man walking down the street — you get ready. You wait patiently and start to walk up to him but before you get out of the forest someone grabs you forcefully and presses your back painfully against a tree.
You breath out and try to free yourself from the grip but it is nearly impossible, as if that person knows how to manage you.
You look up, eyes glowing red, claws out and fangs reaching out for the captain in front of you, his sword dangerously close to your throat. He guessed it right, he looks you up and down and tilts his head. Your captain looks up to the sky and realizes, "You’re in heat" he says calmly and puts his sword back. He is the only one to know, the others — you never told.
"Leave me alone, Law" you hiss and grab his arm. That is one thing — you always call him by his name, never captain. Even though the crew finds it odd that Law doesn’t say anything to it, they stopped questioning it after a while.
You whine out painfully as he tightens his grip and pushes you harsher against the wood. "Why is it worse?“ he simply asks and waits for an answer, not being intimidated by your appearance nor behaviour. "We were underwater for too long, I missed one full moon. I can’t control it" you answer with gritted teeth and breath out flat.
He nods, notices your claws out and your eyes still glowing. "Use your anchor" he advises and you hiss, "it’s not working!"
How can it? Your anchor was gone. Law knows that he is your anchor, you two never communicated it but he knows. You think he doesn’t.
Law noticed sooner than you think. He knows about your species, studied and still studies it. Notices the moments you calm down when he is near, your appearance going back to normal the moment you lay eyes on him. He never mentioned it.
"It will work, think about it" he orders and watches you stretch your neck, your hand around his wrist. "It won’t work!“ you hiss louder and try to push him away. Law grabs your waist, presses you down more forcefully and his body against yours.
"It will" he growls and hides your body with his bigger figure, watching you become smaller and smaller underneath him.
Sometimes this is all it takes, him telling you where to go, him leading you, him handling you. You look at him so submissively, willingly and without hesitation. Your eyes go back to natural, your crawls vanish and your fangs disappear.
Law lets go of you, still supporting you with one hand and he looks at you lowly, his gaze darkens and his face is too close to yours. "Good" he whispers and pulls away, wraps his arm around you and gently leading you back to the submarine.
It’s silent between the two of you. You walk back into your room and he walks into his. The pain is eased for now but you know it is going to come back. He is here, you can calm down but he is here, your heat is rising.
And you are right, the next day comes with a wave of trouble, your mood shifted and you barely get yourself to walk to the others for dinner. You somewhat manage to control it and make it through dinner but something inside you snaps.
Law looks at you, "your going on the mission for a week“ he orders as you stand up.
You freeze, what? You can’t go anywhere, your body and your mind needs him close. You will lose it if you leave. "No, no I won’t!" You gasp back in shock and look at him unbelievably. "You will, I need you there" he simply says and leans back. It is dead silent, you could breath in the air and everyone would hear it.
"No! No, Law! I won’t!" You hiss at him and step away. "You will. I am your captain and you will do as I say" he states calmly and it makes your blood boil.
"Fuck. Off." You say with a harsh breath and laugh out, walking out off the room and everyone can hear the loud slam of your door just seconds after.
Law doesn’t reply, he calmly finishes eating and stands up after. "We won’t leave for now, go out if you want to" he tells the other mates and leaves, steps getting closer to your room.
You are in your bathroom, face nearly buried in the sink, water running and your hands gripping onto the furniture. You splash water onto your face and breath out before straighten your body. One glance in the mirror makes you see Law behind you.
Your body twitches and ypu turn around, his eyes stone cold and his body language signals danger as he looks down to you."You want to repeat that?" He asks coldly as he tilts his head. You don’t react, you don’t know what to do. With a rapid movement his hand is around your throat. You choke out and grab his wrist.
"What’s is it? What’s wrong?" He asks sternly and licks his lips. "L-Law" you choke out, not getting enough air and feeling tears out of adrenaline pumping into your eyes. "Can’t breath?" He asks and watches you shake your head no. "Mh-mh" you manage to whine and finally feel him let go.
You fall onto your knees and start to cough but Law doesn’t stop there. His hand finds its way into your hair and pulls your head back.
"You think you can embarrass your captain in front of the whole crew and get away with that?“ he whispers and feels your hand clench his leg, watching you whine and hold his hand to ease the pain from the hair pulling.
"I think your heat lets you forget who has the last say, who your captain is?“ he hisses rethorically and lightly slaps your cheek. "Law, I-I’m sorry! I didnt mean to-", you choke out and grab his thigh. He straightens his back and looks down to you. "Show me, show me you are sorry" Law says with a clicking tongue.
It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last time that you are in this position. Whenever it was fool moon, whenever your heat showed itself — he was there. He was the one calming you down in his way, the one handling your attitude, the one fucking you back to normal.
You don’t hesitate, you feel his length filling your mouth. Your eyes look up, watching him throw his head back in pleasure. He would not say it but being away from you for so long makes him crave your body even more.
Your hands fly to his already pulsing cock, rocking up and down in the same rhythm as your head. His hand is still tightly grabbing your hair, moving your head rapidly and making your choke.
"You look better like this, do you know that?“, he breaths out and laughs out lowly. "Just like that, mouth too full to talk back“
Your eyes beg him for mercy — in a way where he would finally touch you and give you what you would need. "Can’t have you disrespecting me the whole time in front of the others", Law states, pulls out just to thrust back into your mouth. You hear him groan and cough as you use your tongue on him desperately. "Told you several fucking times“ Law starts, face tensed and hand clenched, "told you I will punish you every time for your behaviour until that attitude is fucked out of your body“ he laughs and breaths out lowly. "But you don’t want to learn, isn’t that right?“ the black haired surgeon says and pulls you away from him by your hair, leaning over and hovering over your body.
"Isn’t that right? Tell me." He orders and watches you shrink under his gaze. "Tell me why you don’t want to learn“, he continues and waits. You don’t answer, thighs rubbing against each other and face turning away — not with him.
Law quickly grabs your chin, turns your face back to him and pulls rougher on your hair to have your head in a steady grip. He raises and eyebrow and wanders over your body with his eyes. "Tell me“, he says sternly, eyes darken and voice dropping low.
Your voice left you, not being able to talk you simply shake your head. "I don’t know“ you whimper slightly as you grab his wrist for support. Law licks over his lips and with one movement your thrown over his shoulder. You squeak in surprise and before you can react you are already thrown onto the bed.
You prop yourself up on your elbows, gaze wandering around dizzily and breath weakening by the sight of him hovering over you. His knee seperating your legs as he moves onto the bed and watches you squirm underneath him. "Spread" he commands and tilts his head. You don’t hesitate and obey, you are too eager to hesitate and you needed everything he would have to give. "Wider" he orders as he watches your body move, mesmerised by the way you carry yourself. "I know you can do better than that, spread your legs for me, hm?" he teases and as you do his fingers slightly brush in between your legs. You twitch by his touch and throw your head back.
His name escapes your lips with a moan and out of reflex — you close your legs. "Who?“ Law asks as he pushes his knee in between your thighs and slightly rubs himself onto you. "You tend to forget who is in charge, who gives orders and who obeys“ the surgeon whispers dangerously close to your neck and he feels the way you shiver, your hands gripping the sheets. "What was that, who?“ he asks again and you feel his hand around your neck — tightening. "Say it, I want to hear it, who were you calling for?“ Law growls lightly and bites into your skin. You whimper and move your head to give him more access. "Y-you, for you captain“, you finally get out and gasp for air the moment he lets go of you.
Law stands up, wandering around and finally leaning against the wall in front of the bed. His hands in his pocket, his head tilted against the wall and eyes on you. "Undress" he smirks slightly. You bite your lip, slowly moving your hands to the hem of your shirt before pulling it over your head. "Look at me, focus on me" you hear him order and watch him move closer to the bed until he stands directly in front of it, looking down to you.
"Oh?“ he whispers close to your lips as he leans down, "You can behave?“ he teases and places his finger on your thigh, brushing over your skin until he finally caresses through your folds, making you moan and shiver.
You breath out, "Law..", lips trembling and eyes widening. "Who?“ he asks and pulls his hand away, hearing a pathetic whine from you. "I am sorry, captain“ you whimper so obediently and rub your thighs together. "Like that from now on, is that understood?“ Law raises his eyebrow and watches you nod rapidly, "Yes, captain“ he earns as an answer. "Good" he lightly says into your ear and pushes your body down onto the mattress.
"Could‘ve told me that you need me to handle you, again“ he mumbles more to himself. "Instead of playing those little games with wich you know you will lose, isn’t that right?“ he laughs out and flips you onto your stomach with one quick movement before pulling you onto your knees. His hands falling down onto your sensitive skin — making his favourite noises. You can’t stop yourself but moan, lay your head down into your pillow and enjoy his touch.
"You know exactly where I want to see your hands" he states and without hesitation you put your hands behind your back, ready for him to grab them. "Spread your legs, wide and nice for me, yeah?" He teases and watches you do exactly what he wants while whining and feeling him undress. "Yes, captain. Please“ you breath out desperately and slightly move towards him.
He grabs your hands, runs his finger through your folds and before you can react he thrusts one of them into you. "You feel that? How does I make you feel, tell me"
Unable to answer you squeeze your eyes shut and arch your back. "Feels so good" you manage to choke out and without any warning he pulls his finger out and places himself right between your legs.
His hand manages to push your head down as he grabs your wrists with his other hand. "You wanted it like that, isn’t that right?" Law spits out and thrusts into you without hesitation. You shiver by the sudden contact of your bodies and whine against the pillow. "Every fucking time, I have to deal with you and you’re not willing to listen“ he grunts out and starts to move faster. "You tend to forget who is in charge" you hear him laugh lowly.
Your body tries to move within his rhythm, hungry and eager to feel him deep inside of you. "Who is in the charge, hm? Let me hear it from you" Law demands as his thrusts become weaker and weaker until he pulls out of you. You whine out miserably but you don’t answer. The grip around your wrists tighten and you can feel him pulling your head back by your hair. He leans over to your ear and slightly brushes your skin with his lips.
"You need this, stop pretending like you don’t need me fucking you dumb“ he whispers and lets go of your hair just to wrap his free hand around your neck. "Tell me, who is in charge?“ You hesitate but the feeling of being on edge, in his hands and at his mercy makes you break, "I-it is y-you" you nearly cry out, earning a tighter grip around your neck. "Who?" he asks firmly as he slightly pushes in between your legs again. You moan out loudly, tears already pricking in your eyes. "Y-you captain, its you!" You moan desperately as you feel him thrust into you with a stronger force.
Law lets go of your neck and wrists, sees you fall down onto the mattress with a arched back and wide legs. His hips shoot forward with a harsh slap on your skin with his hands, making you moan and cry in pleasure.
"Fuck, just like that“ he groans out and grabs your hips to thrust your body against his. "Tell me, who gives orders?“ he continues, not slowing down this time and throwing his head back. "Y-you captain!“ you moan out without hesitation as you cry into the pillow. "Yeah, you’re going to listen, beg me for my cock instead of giving me attitude?“ he laughs out pathetically at your words and state.
You’re unable to function, your brain just can’t comprehend what he is doing to you and still you love the way be can control you. "Yes! Yes captain please, I am sorry! Please!“ Law hears you shout desperately, feeling you clench around him tighter. "You’re sorry? Be good, apologise and beg for me to see how sorry you are" Law grins playfully, having you as he pleases and hearing your little cries of pain and pleasure.
"I won’t do it again, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to, please captain, please! I’m sorry!“ you nearly choke and your voice pierces through your body while feeling Law starts thrusting faster into you. "That’s a good girl, always submissively obeying to her captain" he moans lowly and you can feel him pulsing inside of you.
"Where do you need me? Where do you want to feel me?" He provokes as he grunts louder, hands on your hips. "I-inside! Please captain, please!" you beg and a screech escapes your lips as he pulls out and turns you onto your back, only to spread your legs and thrusts into you again.
You shut your eyes shut and throw your head back but Law is not having it. "Open your eyes“ he grunts and within a second your eyes are open. They were back to normal, humanly and watery eyes were looking at the black haired man begging for relief.
"Law, Law I’m-" you breath in and grab his arms for support. "I can feel it, can feel you coming" he whispers against your lips and feels yours part as his thrusts become rougher. "Wanted me inside, hm?“ he whispers and you moan lustfully, clenching around him as you chase your own high. "Fuck! Come for me, let me feel how good only I can make you feel“ he groans into your ear as he rides out his own high, filling you up and feeling you twitch.
He pulls out of you carefully and watches you breath in heavy. "You alright?“ he simply asks and earns a weak nod. You look away and feel his eyes on you.
"Law, I-I need to talk to you" you mumble, still weak and shivering. "I already know, rest. We will talk later“, he says and feels your body tense. "It’s fine, don’t worry. Now rest." he commands in a slightly strict tone and hears a sigh escape from your mouth. You give in, slightly nodding and without realising you doze off.
