I just came up with this stupid idea on a whim, and now I must make it a thing. Do you know that one Sonic x CRK update? And you know just how broken of a character Sonic really is when you think about it.
Consider this:
The Beast Yeast plot, but the ancients look to Sonic Cookie for help because he's defeated gods on a regular basis
I mean, just think about it. Sonic has canonically defeated gods and demigods before, like the Titans from Sonic Frontiers or Dark Gaya from Sonic Unleashed. The guy outran a black hole and can go faster than the speed of light. The dude obviously has experience with defeating eldritch horrors before, so beating the beasts would more than likely be a piece of cake.
And since the ancients really need all the help they can get, Sonic Cookie would be a good option. Besides, Sonic is known for wanting to help others, so he would be more than happy to join their side.
Imagine just how short the beast yeast plotline would actually be if Sonic Cookie was actually canon to the game's lore (I don't think Sonic Cookie is actually canon though.... he MIGHT be but I don't think so.) No trauma needed. Just get a blue hedgehog to do all the work-
