I made these without even remembering that it was April Fool’s day. The power of Sonic works in mysterious ways.

Last night I had an idea for an AU where Sonic and Shadow work under a corrupt monarchy, and I doodled some ideas about it today.

thinking about sonic and the black knight and like. lancelot. devoting himself to serving his king for his whole life and then sonic comes along and tells him to live for himself, not for anyone else, and definitely not for sonic. he teaches him that his choices are his own and that he can do whatever he wishes and the concept of freedom is so foreign to lance that its overwhelming . sonic tells lance that he's no king . why should he get to decide what lance does. lance should decide for himself. be his own leader. that's what life is all about. there is something beautiful about it
