Honestly, I don't want Sonadow be canon because it's much more fun this way: I always saw Sonadow in the canon as an special but unclassifiable relationship or a queerplatonic one at most, so we can expect Anything and we will always have complete freedom to create, imagine, theorize, or simply have fun and get excited about every moment or detail about their interaction.

So, what is it with Ian Jones Quartey and interesting series about a cool purple ninja, a goofy gentle giant, and a kid who just wants to help with the heroics?

Because this is starting to feel like a "two nickels" thing

Okay so I was on TikTok and came across this, and I have thoughts that I need to say

Now, obviously the implication with these two images is that sonic hoping/thinking Eggman could be better is wrong and not in character or something along those lines

I don’t think either of these pictures are out of character for sonic though let me explain

Sonic from my understanding of his character will always lend a hand to others. Will always try to help and tries to see the good in everyone.

That’s why he offers a hand to others to shadow blaze and even metal sometimes. Because he believes they can be good, they can be better.

And he’s right most of the time. Shadow was someone that had gone through terrible things and was hurting badly and taking out his anger on others, blaze with someone who is isolated and burdened with a lot of responsibility and well, not a bad person. She didn’t fully understand how to work with others for goal how to rely on that. And while with metal, he’s rejected his offer several times and we’ve seen the cruelty metal is capable of, we also know robots don’t have to be evil they can choose to be better. We’ve seen that with Gamma, emerl, gemerl and even though he’s not Canon anymore, shard.

And if I’m remembering this correctly, the panel from IDW the user used is after the stuff with Mr. Tinker, so sonic Knows Eggman is capable of good if he ever chose to do it but he doesn’t

So yeah, Sonic hoping Eggman could be a better person isn’t out of character, but neither is him knowing Eggman never will be.

thinking about sonic and the black knight and like. lancelot. devoting himself to serving his king for his whole life and then sonic comes along and tells him to live for himself, not for anyone else, and definitely not for sonic. he teaches him that his choices are his own and that he can do whatever he wishes and the concept of freedom is so foreign to lance that its overwhelming . sonic tells lance that he's no king . why should he get to decide what lance does. lance should decide for himself. be his own leader. that's what life is all about. there is something beautiful about it

When we get the year of Amy, Knuckles, & Chaotix, they should have Mighty & Ray alongside them. Similar to how they accompanied Knuckles and the Chaotix in Knuckles' Chaotix & Amy in the idw comics classic universe. This helps them gain more popularity while the other (already popular) characters get their year, so when the duo gets popular enough, they can get their own year.

You know, I love when other artists treat sonamy as the same way that sonadow.

Because Amy is also a mirror of Sonic, they are very similar even if it doesn't seem like it.

Both are nomads so they do not stay in one place for long, they have a strong contempt for injustice, not much is known about their past and they struggle a lot to show and control their emotions.

Amy understood that even though he is the love of her life and the hero of the world, he is also a person who deserves to have his space and be respected for it.

Sonic understood that his past attitudes were also disrespectful and with his change of attitude he is seeing other facets that he likes too much.

I personally think Sonic will end up absorbing some of Amy's intensity as she is already learning to be more subtle with her emotions as Sonic 🤭

Por qué Amy también es un espejo de Sonic , son muy similares aún que no lo parezca.

Ambos son nómadas por lo que no se quedan fijos en un lugar , tienen un desprecio por la injusticia muy marcado , no se conoce mucho de su pasado y batallan mucho para demostrar y controlar sus emociones.

Amy entendió que aún que él sea el amor de su vida y el héroe de todos él también es una persona que merece tener su espacio y ser respetado por ello.

Sonic entendió que sus actitudes pasadas también eran irrespetuosas y con su cambio de actitud está viendo otras facetas que le agradan demasiado.

Personalmente creo que Sonic terminará absorbiendo algo de la intensidad de Amy así como ella ya está aprendiendo a ser más sutil con sus emociones como Sonic 🤭
