Sonic Zone Location Sorting - Help Appreciated!
Hello all! Because I’m a nerd and insane, I decided to undertake a project which itself is just preparation for a potential bigger project. I have created a document collecting and sorting all Sonic zones by their island, landmass, or other location, covering every game and other media that could conceivably be considered canon to the main series. But I didn’t just cover the levels, I also covered all the various cutscenes whenever possible. I’ll admit, some corners were cut from time to time, but it’s overall extremely comprehensive.
This is where anyone reading comes in, if you feel like you have any intuition where certain zones go, are in any way well-versed on Sonic lore lol, or otherwise just wanna share your thoughts or critiques on my current placements, I would really appreciate it if you comment on the document and give your two cents on where some locations go or should be placed.
This was all done in potential preparation for a Minecraft map project that I thought would be interesting where I attempt to recreate the locations in sonic games in as close to a 1:1 scale as possible on one map. Obviously this would be huge, and may never happen. In any case, having a comprehensive list of all the zones is cool enough, but if anyone is interested in such a project, let me know and perhaps we could discuss working on it.

Alright, brace yourselves because I’m about to drop a HUGE bombshell. 💥 I was digging through the deepest corners of the internet, as usual, when I stumbled across something that completely blew my mind.
I FOUND A SECRET SONIC GENERATIONS PORT FOR THE WII U. 😱
Yes, you read that right. This is not a drill. There was a secret, never-released port of Sonic Generations for the Wii U, and it got scrapped before anyone could even play it! This port was supposed to be an exclusive release in 2014, with off-TV play, Miiverse support, and some crazy exclusive challenge stages. But for reasons that remain a mystery, it was pulled from shelves and forgotten.
But here’s the kicker: I found it.
Well, kinda.
I was snooping around and found an old, broken web page that had all the details — but here’s the thing, the page is a mess. Some serious corruption happened, and the original content is half-broken. 😩 All the text and images are jumbled, and nothing works like it’s supposed to. But... it’s still alive.
And guess what? The real link to the game is lost forever. This is it — the only piece of the puzzle that survived. What I’ve restored here is all that’s left of that secret Sonic Generations port. There’s no way to get the game now, and it’s basically a collector’s dream that’s sold out forever.
I honestly can’t believe I’m even typing this. 😳 The Wii U version had exclusive content, special stages, and even unique features like off-TV gameplay — it was a gem that nobody ever got their hands on, and now, it's just gone. Forever.
