With Thanksgiving behind us, I’m being a little ‘contemplative’ by focusing behind rather than ahead. Lesson learned, time not utilized well, beauty unappreciated. With this, I’m spending time working on printing multiple landscapes with David Rickets of FX Imaging in Southern California who has been instrumental in teaching me, refining my understanding of film, editing, printing. 20 years ago I would trade David wine for teaching me darkroom technique or medium format camera equipment. It’s hard splitting my love for photographic art and the art of wine but my ultimate hope is that I can combine it all somehow.
