Soobin who has a habit of not closing his mouth all the way getting his makeup done by you and his breath tickles your cheek. you can hear and feel his breathing get faster as you gently rest your hand on his cheek to steady yourself as you apply fine eyeliner. Soobin with his big brown eyes that stare at you, flitting over your face to take in all the details.
it's sweet, the way he is absorbed fully in your presence. the other boys don't act this way when you gently reapply foundation or touch up their blush. but soobin, he stops his conversation when you come over, offering you a shy smile and his full attention. he loves the way your lips move when you smile back, the way your eyes light up when you see him. all the staff members are kind and supportive, but you're his favorite. something about you is captivating.
soobin liking being led around by his partner :( just see him agreeing with all their ideas and stuffs :( he’d be so sweet and just go along with everything you wanna do and loves seeing how happy you are when he says he had fun :(
flight attendant!reader x passenger!soobin 🖤 [from drafts 250223]
tw: sweet guy soobin….. but is he? 🖤
soobin as a passenger who fell for you during his flight with the airline you worked at.
“if chance permits, fate shall bring us again.” you told him with a smile politely. you thought there’s no way you would in a million possibilities chances but what you didn’t expect was that you actually did. you met him again… or more like he met you, outside your work, by fate that you said.
but is it? is it truly a fate of coincidence? isn’t it such a miracle. sure, he’s a very cute guy in your eyes but… what else? all you know about the stranger is how attractive he is, his plump bunny-like lips and that his name is mr. “choi soobin”. what do you even know about him?
you don’t know what he’s capable of. you don’t know how he could easily get his ‘trusted sources’ to search more about you, you don’t know how he’s adjusting himself to your usual schedule making ‘fate’ possible to come sooner than you thought.
well can’t blame him, you just said if chance permits but it doesn’t matter how right? he was just… giving it a ‘little push’ for that chance. guess he was just excited to see you again, he’s so into you dear stewardess <3
i got this idea while washing my face damn that water (whatever was in the water ig) i’m not so proud of this one bcs how short it is….. i feel like theres so much possibilities can be made out of this, maybe a long one in the future? MAYBE. is this slightly dark content? idk about that too shhskka salute to ppl who write dark content u got my whole respect 🫡

author's note: this isn't part of my valentine's event, but I couldn't wait to post it
Snowflakes fall around the two of you as you wait in line at the top of the hill, their tiny forms dancing in the bright lights that illuminate the tubing hill through the dark. Soobin stands behind you, waiting for your shared turn to slide down the snow-covered hill. You turn to look at him and see dots of white snowflakes caught in his dark hair where it peeks out from under his beanie. His cheeks are already pink from the cold, though the two of you haven’t even been out here that long.
Finally, the attendant calls you over and you trundle along the snowy path to your lane. She instructs you on how to sit: Soobin in the back, and you in front. You nestle into the space between his long legs and grip the plastic handles. They’re cold, even through your mittens. Soobin’s arms wrap around you and you lean into him, thick jackets padding the space in between so this closeness still feels separate, distant. The both of you are still a little unsure of this closeness, still new to this relationship.
The next thing you know you’re pushed off down the hill, cold wind blowing in your face as you rush down the snow and ice. Soobin screams,a loud, startled sound that the wind whips up and away. The wind bites at your cheeks as your giggle blends with Soobin’s shout. His fear quickly gives way to fun and you can feel his laugh behind you, filling you with warmth.
It’s over too fast and soon you’re crashing against the piles of snow at the bottom of the hill, falling over into a jumble of limbs and laughter. You untangle from one another with the grace of a newborn giraffe, but it isn’t awkward. Soobin’s cheeks are bright pink as he excitedly asks if you can ride again. You smile at him, dusting the snow out of his hair, “of course.” With his head in your hands you can feel butterflies gather in your stomach, wanting him closer. Instead, you gently punch his shoulder, diffusing the situation. “You gotta carry the tube though!” With another triumphant giggle, you race off towards the lift, steps slow and clunky in your heavy boots. Soobin groans behind you as he lugs the heavy rubber ring along.
Again and again you race down the snowhill, wind rushing past as you ride. You lose count of how many times you make the trek up to the top but you don’t stop until your fingers are frozen and your limbs are tired. The small concessions chalet serves steaming hot cocoa in tiny styrofoam cups, but you swear it’s the best cocoa you’ve ever tasted. You stand outside the cramped building, shoulder to shoulder with Soobin as you both nurse your drinks, careful not to burn your tongues, but eager to finally have some warmth.
“Are you feeling any warmer?” You ask him, looking up at him as you do. He hums, nodding in response before he blows the steam away from his cup. He turns to look at you and you feel your heart skip a beat. The bright lights of the hill catch in his dark brown irises, illuminating all the depth and making them sparkle. His expression is soft and full of wanting, and it makes a warmth settle in your stomach. You don’t think before you lean forward and kiss him, lips connecting in a soft crash as you fall against his chest. When you pull away, his eyes are wide like a doe’s as he takes a second to process before his lips curl up, one side then the other, into his signature lopsided smile.
He kisses you again and it’s soft and warm, his hand coming up to cup your face, cold fingers curling in your hair as his warm palm brings you closer to him. He tastes like rich chocolate and whipped cream when your tongue finds his way against his lips. He sighs into you and the world falls away for a moment.
On the ride home, you invite him up to your apartment, claiming the roads are too icy and you’ll be worried if he leaves. You both know it’s a flimsy excuse, that the roads have already been cleared and salted, but he goes along with it.
Inside your apartment, you’re suddenly aware of everything, how it must look in his eyes. The small kitchen feels too small when you’re both in there, too cramped to make another hot drink. Soobin kindly says he’s happy to just sit under a blanket and warm up. And you shyly tell him that all your heavy blankets are on your bed. His cheeks, still tinged pink from the cold, turn a deep red at your suggestion. But still, he nods, and follows you to the single bedroom.
You peel off snow-damp clothes layer by layer until you're both in dry t-shirts and underwear. Soobin’s eyes roam up your thighs, stopping where the hem of the old band tee rests against your skin. You pretend not to notice as you crawl into bed, nearly vibrating with excitement. The mattress dips as Soobin cautiously joins you under the layers of plush comforters and homemade quilts. He lays as close as he can to the edge of the bed, nervous to overstep the boundaries of your blossoming relationship.
But the bed isn’t big enough for two people to lay without touching, especially when the space inbetween is the warmest part of all. You roll so your body faces Soobin’s, tugging the blankets to your chin as you do. He lays flat on his back, but turns his face towards yours. The streetlight outside barely illuminates the room through your curtains, but you can just make out his features. Your voice is small when you speak, whispering to him through the dark. “I’m cold.”
He turns so that his body mirrors yours, facing you fully now. “I’m cold too.”
“Do you think,” you begin, shifting closer to the center of the bed, “we’d be warmer if we were closer together?”
He hums in agreement, following you to the center. You are centimeters from touching, the space in between almost imperceptible. “Like this?”
You tuck your face into the space below his, nestling into him. “I think more like this.” He’s still for a moment, adjusting to this new level of intimacy, before his arms find their way around you, holding you close.
“I like this way.” He whispers, pressing a kiss to the top of your head before you both drift off to sleep.

The city pulses with its usual blaring chaos— cars honking impatiently in the peak hours of getting off work and the chatter of countless voices that you can’t make out even a word. You drag your footsteps through the crowd, the weight of the day pressing heavily on your shoulders. Everything seems to get on your nerves today, the bus left early before you can catch it in the morning, the barista got you the wrong coffee order, and on top of it the higher ups at work today pulled forward your deadline to resolve a marketing issue.
Your bag slings over one arm, and your phone stays clutched in the other. The notifications have long ago demands your attention, your phone put on a do not disturb since afternoon.
Yet, through the haze of weariness, a single thought brings you forward: You just need to get home—to him.
The memory of his warm, dimpled smile softens the furrows of your brows. Your shared place wasn’t grand—far from it—but it is the greatest sanctuary. The coziest part of the world where all worries dissolve, and the only thing that matters is the sound of his laugh or the way his large arms wrap around you like a shield against everything outside.
The pace fastens as your eyes spots the building, the familiar tune chimes when the access card allows you through. As you reach the highest floor on the building, with the elevator that feels like it’s taking forever to keep you from seeing your darling, you huff a relief sigh when you see the white door, a welcoming sight. Fumbling with the pass and keys, you finally let yourself in. The smell of something savory greets you first, followed by the faint sound of television playing in the background.
There he is. Your lovely Soobin.
Sitting cross-legged on the couch in sweatpants and a hoodie that swallows him whole, he looks up through his bangs as you stride towards him, his face breaking into a grin that eases the tension from your chest. His hair is a little messy, just usually how you like it to be, and his hand holds a mug of tea—your favorite kind you can smell it already waiting for you.
“Hey, baby. How’s your day?” he asks, his voice soft but steady.
You don't answer, not at first. The bag you carry throughout the day drops with a heavy thud on the cabinet by the door before you take a few steps, sinking into his arms without a word. Soobin stretches a bit to put the mug back on the coffee table, giving you space to cuddle into. His warmth wraps around you like a blanket, and for the first time all day, you feel yourself calming down. “I missed you,” you whisper into his shoulder.
“Oh— ‘f course I missed you too,” he murmurs, his hand is gentle when he takes off the claw clip that has been holding onto your strands, and he starts stroking your hair, massaging your head a little bit.
“Feels like the whole world was not on my side today,” you tell him, voice cracking with sadness. His brows furrowed hearing your answer, lips pouting a bit as he takes the clue in your gloomy appearance since you entered.
“But I am,” the answer sounds light hearted, but he means it truly. “You wanna talk about it?”
You shake your head, not wanting to go into details, “just glad it’s all over and you’re here now.”
Soobin’s lips break into a small smile, rubbing your back as he cuddles you tighter. He goes on about how his day went instead, what dinner he plans to get you tonight and the date on this weekend that he plans on going with you. You keep composed and listen attentively, fingers trailing on his hoodie’s string.
And just like that, the tiring day begins to fade away, replaced by the comfort of being home—not a place, but a person. You love coming home to him, hearing his heartbeat as you lay on his chest, his hands that roam everywhere on your body feels like a healing touch. This home holds you close, and you feel a deep sense of belonging, always.
