DARK ROMANCE RECAP (IN HONOUR OF 5TH ANNIVERSARY) ♡
Dark Romance recap in honour of our 5th anniversary (tw: suicidal ideation and mention of rape) – from emails with a friend:
I remember Karasu best from the video games when I was a teen, and only remembered he was in love with Kurama when I was rewatching. I was impressed with his beauty and power when he made his first appearance, then shocked when he talked with Kurama in the hallway, and later traumatized by him in their fight, enough to black most of it out! I ended up wishing for Karasu to kill me one morning when I was suicidal, and he showed up in my brother Micky’s dream (without Micky knowing my wish beforehand from earlier that day), and then in my dreams as well, before I started seeing him in my everyday surroundings. He serenaded me outside my window upon the river day in and day out, and that’s how he won my heart. ♡ It was Micky’s idea for me to befriend Karasu, as he could see I was falling in love despite my deep conflicting feelings (when I asked Karasu what he wanted from me, he said he wanted to be my boyfriend, so I thought about it). I was also involved with Kurama and Touya at that time in my dreams. When Karasu first had “his wicked way” with me, he wanted to know that he “fucked (me) better than HIM” … it took me a few minutes, but then I asked him if he meant Kurama? And he was immensely pleased to hear the Fox’s name. Not a fond memory, but our times after that were more pleasant. This was five years ago. Our anniversary was June 11th.
Karasu helped me get an annulment from my ex in dreams that month with Koenma’s help in Spirit World. Afterwards Karasu performed a Crow’s Courtship Dance for me at the end of June, then asked me what I wanted to be for him – I said I wanted to be his “girlfriend” and “significant other”. Dreamt of our wedding ceremony on Kissing Day (July 6th) that year after moving in together (my new apartment with my brothers), with Koenma as “priest”, and younger Toguro and Sakyo as our two witnesses. Koenma really didn’t want us to be together, though, and scolded me at the end of that dream. There was love triangle BS with Touya involved the first couple of years, with me going back and forth between who I wanted to marry, but me and Karasu would continue to try to get a legal wedding from Spirit World afterwards, with Karasu being successful after my hospital stay the next August in 2018. He proposed again and we renewed our vows in front of our children on Friday the 13th last month after experimenting with an open marriage the past few years, and then deciding we want to be exclusive.
