I still don't get how Mormons can be antisocialist?? Like? The lds church is literally a socialist organization??how?y'all been giving 10% of ur gross income to help the less fortunate ur whole lives?

I grew up Mormon. I started paying tithing (10% of all income) when I was like 5. My parents told me we give a bit of what we have so those with less can have stuff like food and shelter. YOU KNOW THE STUFF HUMANS NEED TO NOT DIE. And when we had hard times other people's tithing would help us.

My entire childhood this seemed more than fair and I was happy to do it because children are inherently kind. Selfishness is learned.

New fun game: ask an antisocialist Mormon if they pay tithing. Then ask if they believe the US was founded by men of God to be the promised land. They will say yes to both. Ask them about the law of consecration. It is literally a mix of socialism and ACTUAL COMMUNISM.

Next ask if they want the church to spread across the world and for the government to mirror the way the church works. They will say yes because that is THE LITERAL GOAL OF THE MORMON CHURCH.

I'm no longer Mormon. I don't like the church. It has hurt me and my people way too long and I don't see myself forgiving them. I just think it's important to point out the irony and hypocracy of the situation.

If you are Mormon and antisocialist you are contradicting your own beliefs and that's morally reprehensable at best.

It means you are willing to compromise your own moral values to support the ever increasing income disparity in this country making more and more people homeless everyday. It means you are willing to let people die while the wealthy fill their pockets with blood money. Do you think the 1% care about you? Do you think they will thank you? Do you actually believe they would do the same for you if the tables were turned?

Stop protecting people who don't care if you live or die and maybe help the ones who actually need you.

Menurut saya, sastra yang baik adalah sastra yang bisa mengantarkan pikiran orang pada realitas tertentu. Sebuah sastra yang bersifat ‘realis’. Isinya bukan awang-angan tanpa rujukan. Bukan pula membuat lebih parah  keadaan sekarang ini, yakni hiper-realitas. Untuk itulah mengapa sastra juga bisa mengawal misi kemanusiaan, yaitu mengantarkan pikiran pada objek-objek yang jarang disadari secara mudah.
