Loving the au!!! The whole tricking the beasts and reducing them to weakened forms is something I can see happening canonically but I swear youve given me a smybiote with how many brain worms I have of the au! ;ppp

This might be a very spoiler heavy question but do any of the beasts get affected by the reworked spell or do they all escape to their ancient counterpart in the nick of time?

After the spell backfired on Shadow Milk (which im calling Witches' Flame for now)...the spell was slightly adjusted so it could be cast directly on the other beasts.

All attempts were successful, and even though two of the now-symbiotes are currently with their Ancient counterparts as a host....

...the other three were not so lucky.

OMG! Soul Jam reforming!

I wonder if after defeating Shadow Milk we get one for all the ancients and beasts. (Since he slurped up all their remaining soul energy, maybe it can be extracted out and they go back to phantom form before getting bodies.)

I find this fascinating. 🤓🧐

Also is this implying that if both beast and ancient die they become the soul in the souljam. Rebirth in a way. Like we all know each soul jam has a voice of its own. Are they they new soul residing in the souljam of Freedom/Solidarity???

btw, there is a large chance that shadow milk could still get redeemed considering the ultimate amalgamation is not actually him, and a fragment of the real shadow milk is with candy apple and black sapphire, anyone who says he needs to die and is fully irredeemable is just saying that because they hate shmilk atp. I thought we all knew the amalgamation isn't fully him...so yeah, that thing is irredeemable, but shadow milk is capable of understanding his wrongs based on what elder faerie says in the prologue.
