This is a difficult choice, because this are both great topics that I would really like to explore upon. I have been thinking about number 29 lately, so I'll go with that!
29. The one where your soulmate's ghost haunts you when they die.
------------
- The concept of your soulmate's ghost haunting their other half is a highly debated topic. As some truly believe in it, while others are skeptical and regard it as a myth. Generally, everyone hopes to not be haunted by the one they were supposed to be with, who would want that even?
- All of the original founding members of BF5 (Barring Sage) all die a year before the events of the first season in various different ways. Vert dies in a car race, Agura dies in an animal related incident, Zoom dies during his time running from the Order, Stanford dies from poisoning, and Sherman & Spinner die from electrocution.
- Unfortunately, they're one of the ghosts that gain amnesia upon death, unknowing of their previous life and why they are like this now. Too bad all they have company is this chamber that holds an red being inside.
- The Red Sentients are still conscious within their frozen state, and for some reason start seeing a floating figure near their chambers.
- Once they are released, the Red Sentients are initially confused and slightly hostile to the vapor like beings that followed a distance away but would disappear afterwards. They merely thought it was a malfunction within their systems and tried to fix it. However, the intruders still did not disappear.
- BF5 still don't have their memories and are following RS5 due to being drawn to them for some reason.
- Having enough of this mystery, RS5 decides to confront these beings by themselves, as they can only see one (or two in Krylox's case) of them. However, the confrontation really didn't end well enough for both parties, eventually escalating to the Reds to try and ignore BF5's existence, hoping that they would just end up leaving, but they didn't.
- Eventually, they do end up communicating more due to curiousity and do eventually bond to the point that RS5 does agree to try and figure out what BF5 are and why are they stuck in this situation.
- Meanwhile, Jack Wheeler is the one who finds Sage (He doesn't have the tracking device in this AU), and is pretty excited to come back to Earth for his family...Until he receives the news that is.
Bonus: (Wanted to add Acceleracers to the mix)
- BF5! Jack and Acceleracers! Jack are either siblings or twins that were close to one another to the point that they sometimes visited each other when they had the chance. BF5! Vert and Acceleracers! Vert grew up to the point of being like brothers.
- Unfortunately, when his brother suddenly disappeared and his wife's deteriorating mental health, Acceleracers! Jack did try to take in his nephew, but was too late and BF5! Vert got picked up by his mother's brother instead. Acceleracers! Jack and Vert didn't get to see him again until they were notified of his death.
- Tezla is getting haunted by Gelorum's Ghost.
- Tork is unsure whether or not if he's being haunted by Tone's Ghost, which he really hope he isn't.
How would you boys react to meeting their soulmate for the first time? Also, I love your headcanons and want to thank you for all the work you put behind them and all your asks.
So in my headcanon, when you meet your soulmate, as a monster, your soul would start to feel warmer and jump in your body, like it was trying to get to your soulmate. Also being around them would make your HP go up faster/heal quicker.

Sans- When he met his soulmate, it was a shock to him. His soul would quickly start to warm up near S/m and he'd feel stronger, and more healthy, which was a strange feeling for him. Why did he feel stronger near them? Why did he feel good? He'd have to start to look through a lot of books about monsters to even remember the whole soulmate thing. He wouldn't accept it at first, but can't stop the way he enjoys being around S/m.
Papyrus- When he met the S/m he got all excited, it made him feel healthy! Healthier than already, funnily enough. His soul felt so warm and he felt so safe with you, so he hugged them quickly then had to explain why he got so excited and hugged someone randomly. It was a little strange, but hey! He really liked them.
Blueberry- Blueberry started to feel warm, happy, and safe when he was around S/m. He tried his best to ignore the feeling and act the same around them as everyone else, because he was sure that they didn't know the soulmate feeling but he couldn't help but feel nervous and kind of scared around them. Every time he tried to talk, he'd stutter and get all blushy. It was so annoying!
Stretch- It was a strange feeling, that he wasn't used to. S/m made him feel so warm, so safe, like a big fluffy blanket. His soul would get warmer every time he was around them, and after a bit he'd get used to them being around him and would get used to the feeling of safety that they bring. It's like a drug! How strange it was to him... good job, now S/m is stuck with him and he'll try to stay as close to them as he can.
Red- Red is scared of them. He doesn't think he deserves a datemate, let alone a soulmate! What did he do to deserve one? Just be born? Well shocker, he didn't even want to do that in the first place! So, honestly, he'd try to avoid them but since they're soulmates, his soul will feel drawn to them, and he starts to fall in love. With the feeling of warmth and safety that they give, but also just how... they are. Being around them makes him feel like he isn't just a mistake because if someone as good as S/m likes him... how bad can he really be?
Edge- Soulmates isn't exactly a very popular thing in Underfell, because it gives reason and a weakness. Yet when Edge met S/m, all those thoughts were thrown out the window. He loved them. He found them to be one of the greatest things that could have ever happened to him, because of how happy they make him. He's stressed often because of his job, and just... sometimes it feels nice to not be the feared and terrible Papyrus and just be... Papyrus. S/m helps him with that. He'd most likely explain the whole soulmate thing later on, after he knows they like him for him and not just because of some dumb legend.
Axe- Axe has forgotten that legend after everything else that happened to him and his brother. He didn't believe in it anymore, soulmates were good, the idea so nice but... did he really even deserve love like that? After everything he did? He didn't think he did but then he met S/m, and it made him feel so nice, so safe! He didn't know how to react to it. Half of him wanted to attack them for the weird feeling that they're causing but the other half... really liked the nice feeling. After he gets used to it, he'll keep them around him almost all the time, never letting them get too far away. It isn't that he doesn't trust his S/m not to do anything stupid, but it's more he just really likes them being around him and the nice feeling they cause. If they don't want to be with him, or around him, then too bad. They're stuck with him! He'll get them anything that they want, even if he has to kill for them, can't they see how much he cares?
Noodle- Noodle is never used to the feeling of being fully safe, and comfortable with someone. He doesn't even feel that way with his brother anymore, so when he felt the warm feeling in his soul after meeting S/m? He'd grow addicted quickly. They made him feel like himself, before the human eating thing! He might get too addicted and try to keep S/m around him all the time, and be upset/bothered when they aren't around. It's dangerous to be so depended on by him but it's just because he loves them! They're his soulmate, they're made for him... right?
Lord- He wouldn't really know what to do with his S/m. He'd avoid them at first, but his soul would try to pull him towards them, so he can't exactly fight that! It would make him mad that he couldn't control himself around S/m so might be a little mean to them but with how his cheeks go purple whenever they're around each other, it's easy to see that he likes them. If he ever gets hurt he'd go to them first because them being his S/m, it would start to heal him plus being taken care of by his S/m is... nice.
Mutt- Mutt would love his S/m! They would meet on a nice sunny day, and Mutt's soul would suddenly start to feel warm and he'd feel all happy then he'd follow his soul, and see S/m! He'd go over to talk to them, being his normal adorable self, then go to talk to his brother about it, because he didn't quite understand what the feeling was for and when he learned that it was because they were his soulmate? He would be so excited and want to meet them again! He tells them right away that they're his soulmate, and it's up to them if they believe him or not. I think they'd most likely just find it cute and not believe him.
Wiseguy- Wiseguy was always told that the story of a soulmate wasn't true, they said that the idea was stupid, Wiseguy didn't agree. He thought the idea behind it was amazing, someone perfect for you? He was out on a job when suddenly his soul started to feel warm, hot almost, and he felt so happy and relaxed! It was strange to him, and his soul felt like it was tugging, so he started to follow it until he finally got to the place his soul was trying to drag him. Then he saw S/m. If he could get eye shines shaped like hearts, he would. They looked so sweet! He normally didn't fall for people so quickly but they just... seemed perfect, but he didn't know how to talk to them so for a long time he didn't, until he saw a good chance.
Bones- Bones loves the idea of soulmates! His brother used to tell him about it when he was younger. He told him all about it and how his soul would pull him towards the person that's meant to be with him. So when he met S/m and felt so happy and safe, and how warm his soul became, he knew what that meant! How crazy it was that he met his S/m when he did, but also... what does he do now??? He won't show that he knows S/m is his soulmate until he's sure that he really likes them, no matter how his soul acts.
Clip- You bet your ass that Clip loves soulmates! He finds the idea of finding someone that's perfect for him to be amazing, even though he feels like he really doesn't deserve it. When he finally does meet S/m, he's going to freeze his face going a deep red color while his soul pounds with warmth and nerves. Oh god, S/m was right there?! What was he supposed to do? He'd stay frozen until he loses sight of them, or someone knocks him out of his thoughts. It'll be like that for a little while, him being too nervous to even talk but with his resting bitch face, they might think he's scary.
Boss- Boss hates how his soul is drawn to S/m, why though? Sure, the soulmate thing is... a story, but there's no way it's true, right? It's so annoying how he feel so warm and happy around S/m, because it makes it harder for him to stay angry around them! So not fair.
Books- Books, of course, knows about the soulmate thing. When he felt the warmth from his soul, he knew exactly what it meant but instead of looking around for his soulmate; he ran away. Why? He didn't think he was ready. He ran all the way home, blushing bright enough to burn, and hid under the blanket on the couch. When his brothers heard what happened, they forced him to go and try to find his soulmate, and he meets S/m.
Crank- It wouldn't click in his head at first. He'd feel the warm and safe feeling, and how his soul would tug at him, but he'd ignore it and go finish what he was supposed to do. Later he'd realize and be shocked since whoa! That's his soulmate?! He would follow the tugging of his soul until he saw S/m, and go to talk to them. He's nervous to talk to them, what if they don't like a drugged up skeleton? He feels bad for them, having to deal with him.
Heavy-Just like his horror counterpart, he doesn't think he deserves a soulmate. Why should someone have to be with him, just because his soul decides they're what he needs? When he meets his soulmate, and it starts to make him feel better, he's so tempted to take them and keep them, making it so they can't leave but decides against it. He'll talk to them and try to make friends, not showing that they're soulmates until they're already dating and he'd explain everything about his soul and stuff.
Mobster- Mobster was getting rid of some... er... trash when he met his S/m. It didn't really click right away, because he thought the warm fuzzy feeling was just him thinking that the person was nice! Then, most likely while talking, he'd realize and he'd get all embarrassed and would go quiet thinking about it more. Did he really have a soulmate? He'd ask the S/m how they feel about soulmate things, if they believe in it, he'd say that they're soulmates but if they say that they don't believe in it, he won't bring it up. Either for a long time, or ever! How shocking.
Error- Error met them pretty early on, his soul had been acting weird glitching out faster and it made him feel... happy but because of the happy he felt nervous, and the nervous made him mad. His soul would glitch out trying to get close to something so, against his best judgement, he started to follow his soul and would come out and see S/m! They'd be doing something random and suddenly he's happy and relaxed and he finds out that they're the reason behind it. Yeah, they're gonna get kidnapped and kept in the void.
Corn- Well Corn never expected to meet his soulmate. He doesn't like to leave his farm, just being here made him feel safer and his brother was normally the one that went to the town to sell the stuff, because he was better at that. Corn would sell stuff to people who came to his stall though! That's how he met S/m. They came to his farm to pick up eggs, veggies, and a few fruits. As they got out of their car, suddenly Corn's soul started to move faster, get warmer, and he felt so happy. What the heck? He tried to ignore the feeling, but the closer he got to them, the stronger the feelings. After they got all their stuff and started to leave, he felt his soul tugging trying to get closer to them... well then... guess he's gonna have to leave his farm sometimes.
Harvest- Harvest went out to a flea market to sell some of their stuff, but while he was setting everything up, he felt his soul jump in his body and start to tug which made him almost drop the box he was carrying. What was going on?! In his panic, he quickly started to follow where his soul was tugging him, and the farther he walked, the calmer and happier he felt, until he saw S/m. His soul was trying to get at them, so he walked over to talk to them, trying to figure out who they were and why his soul wanted to be near them. He has no idea about the whole soulmate thing, but when he finds out he gets happy, because they traded numbers!
Hip Hop- Hip hop was dancing as he walked down the street, his hood up over his head. He loved to dance, but it made him embarrassed, which is why he hid his face. He didn't even notice how his soul was acting, until he bumped into someone. When he looked at them to say he was sorry for that, his words died on his tongue and he finally noticed how his soul felt so warm and was tugging trying to get out of his chest to get at them. Yeah, he knew about the whole soulmate legend, so this was... shocking. Then he was just staring, blushing so dark and S/m asks if he's okay. He stutters something out, then just teleports away. Well shit.
Salsa- Salsa helps teach people how to dance, mostly because he loves to dance and thinks other people should learn how to! He was dancing with some people when suddenly his soul jumps in his chest and he almost falls over from the strong feeling. What was that? He'd look over, seeing S/m come in and his soul would try to tug him over. His brother told him about the soulmate thing when he was younger, so of course he knows the legend, and he believed it to be true so he smiled and walked over to talk to them. he wouldn't exactly flirt, but teach them how to dance and ask if they'd like to go on a date later on. After they leave, he'd feel embarrassed.
Rhythm- Tempo wasn't home, leaving Rhythm alone to do whatever he wanted to do. Normally he'd be, ya know, sleeping but he wanted to get some mustard. What could he say? It was good to him. It was when he was at the store did his soul start to freak out, causing him to freak out mostly on the inside but he did shout what the fuck. Why was it tugging at him? Half of him tried to ignore it but the more he walked through the store the less he felt nervous, which was a strange feeling, because he was normally nervous... then he saw S/m, and his soul felt so warm and comforting that he just had to go and talk to them which was strange.
Tempo- When he felt the jolt in his soul while he was trying to each some of the other monsters how to dance, he lost his balance falling to the ground. If someone would try to help him up, he'd smack their hand away. There's no time to deal with someone trying to help him, like that! Who do they think they are? He's the one that ignores it until he's ready to go and meet them.
Steps- Steps posts on his website pretty often talking about soulmate things, and how it works with monsters. Humans love learning about monsters, or at least some of them do, and when he felt the familiar tug in his soul, and how it got warmer... he didn't know how to react! He grabbed out his phone and started to type quickly! 'GERGEJIROJGEIGO SOULMAAE AHHHHHH!' then he'd put away his phone and start to follow the feeling. When he meets S/m he tries his best to look cool and collected but... yeah, he's so bright blue.
Freestyle- Freestyle gets easily bored, but normally keeps it to himself. When he's dancing he feels happier, just embarrassed, but now while he was walking and felt the sudden warmth in his soul, and how it jumped? He's confused on what to do. Slowly he'd follow his soul, until he sees S/m. He'd watch them for a little while thinking about what to do. There's a half and half thing here, he'd either turn around and leave and try to find them again later or he'd go over to talk. It depends on how he feels that day.
Nightmare- When he met S/m, and felt the warm tingly feeling, and how it made him feel... happy? It made him feel strange. He didn't like it. He's the guardian of nightmares and negative emotions, so having good ones made him feel strange. He might kind of stalk S/m for a little while before trying to talk to them.

good question! it honestly takes a lot of trust, but in my opinion you just know because of the connection that you and that person make. i do agree, people are very different from how they appear online and i am no exception to that rule, I'm different from how i portray myself online in the sense that like in person I tend to curse a lot and I can be very talkative sometimes and other things that don't translate over onto my online personality but yeah like I said before its more of a trust thing. the way me and avery can talk about anything and everything all day everyday without getting bored or annoyed or running out of topics to talk about is probably the biggest thing. the other super big thing would be that i know everything that we say to eachother and whatever we are texting about is truthful and genuine which is really hard to find from a person. I know me and avery are soulmates because whenever i feel shitty or like nobody really cares she turns that around so fast. she makes me feel safe and comfortable and so so so unbelievably happy and that is how i know, without having met her in person yet, that we are soulmates
