The Singing Ringing Tree, designed and built by architects Tonkin + Liu, is a musical sculpture in England that emits eerie, melodic notes. A 3-meter-tall, wind-powered musical sculpture made of galvanized steel pipes, it stands high above the English town of Burnley. The human boy is currently in Boston and he saw this interesting audio installation by Su-Mei Tse in collaboration with Jean-Lou Majerus entitled Sound for Insomniacs, 2007. For Tse, photographs alone are not enough to capture a cat's unique personality. Here, she presents large close-up portraits of five different cats, each with expressive presence similar to traditional painted portraits, along with recordings of each cat purring.
