I found this in my camera roll from 2016. The source is a broken tumblr link to someone called greenenglish - the link was broken back in 2016 too. And I can’t find any archives of that tumblr on the wayback machine.

What is the best* account of the May 31-June 2 insurrection?

*fairly unbiased, fact-based. I don't want more "moderates" trash! The Brissot bio by Ellery describes his POV fairly well, but it sounds like he was already hiding (most of them, it sounds like, were not actually in the Convention at the time). What about accounts of what was actually happening at the Convention, in the streets, behind the (non-Girondin) scenes? What was Max doing? Danton? Camille? I know some story about Hérault being in the president's chair that day, but I don't know too many details/what's true. So what's the best account?
