Disa, about Elrond: that man looks pathetic and yet whimsical ! im keeping him
(30) Days of Adar — by @adarswidow
Day 16: A scene or interaction you wish we would have gotten with Adar.
His cathartic sword fight!
Setting aside all the thirsty reasons to see him wield that gargantuan sword, they could have given him his duel as Halbrand escapes Mordor. Adar is more than capable to break the man’s spine to keep him imprisoned, but he was not prepared for Halbrand to be Sauron: the violence of the fight and the tricks Halbrand uses reveal his identity. Since Adar did not have the tetanus crown at hand, Sauron escapes.
That justifies the mobilisation of his army way better than “I thought I had him but I let him go because he looks sexy when he begs.” That justifies Adar making decisions out of fear, which is even less advisable than waging war in anger.
Other than that...
I would have loved a smartass parley with Gil-Galad. If Adar had really wanted that alliance, the High-King was the one who could make it happen.
I am the very model of a modern noldo-General
My arguments with vala if you ask me I have won them all
I ‘ve known the kings of Men and Elves and fought the fights historical
From Swan-haven to Anfauglith, and I've got trauma from them all.
I'm very skilled in crafting and I’ve memorized the tomes of lore
I’ve enemies and friends alike on ev’ry one of Arda’s shores
I know the darkness lingers and I’ll search neath every rock and leaf
From Lindon to Utumno with my brother’s dagger in its sheath!
The darkness took what’s mine from me, a silver tree that blazed with light
in vengeance I'll unmake their worlds, I'll kick my foes through door of night
I’ve battled will of powers great and won the day you must recall
I am the very model of a modern noldo-General!
Elrond: *minding his business writing in his little notebook*
Gil-galad: *looks suspicious* there is no chaos. Where is Galadriel?
Galadriel: *walks in proudly* HI I AM THE PROBLEM ITS ME!!!
Elrond: *not looking from his notebook* there she is.
Elrond Peredhel
(parody of first song in Hamilton)
How does a half-elf orphan son of a star and its guardian dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot In woods near Lindon after living in captivity and squalor / Grow up to be a hero and a scholar?
Though he once floundered, this realm founder from lands foundered Couldn’t stand prouder Couldn’t spit lore louder, Became a king crowner by having a mind sounder /than was safe, and gathering powerful friends around him.
And every day while Numenor fell /further from grace / away across the waves, he struggled and filled his heart up / with kindness, longing for something to be a part of , Our herald was ready to sneak, speak, make vows, and barter
Celebrimbor then came, with tower high aims,/Our boy saw a chance to get respect put on his name, / Broke some rocks and saw the errors that caused his friend pain, and healed what he had maimed, got dwarves in on the game.
Well the word got around ‘bout the mithril in their caves, man!
High king sent him back in with a load of stuff to trade and,
he stood before king Durin, held the hopes of his whole race, and he told the old king his name! Who’s that half man?
I am Elrond Peredhel, the elves, they call me Elrond Peredhel. See I’m more than them, I’m man as well, I chose my fate, I chose my fate.
Isildur: HOLD ON! HOLD ON! HOLD ON!
Ontamo: *giggling*
Valandil: oh my goooood
Isildur: HER SISTER. WAS A WITCH. RIGHT???? AND WHAT WAS HER SISTER???!!!
Isildur: A PRINCESS!!!
Incorrect Quotes But It’s My Friend and I
Me: If there's going to be a big dramatic scene, wait until I get back. My friend, @pakhiya: Of course. I can't flip this table by myself.
