For this, I’d like to paraphrase a quote from Euphoria:

He’s seen her do hits for her family’s business and she’s even let him be involved with a few of them, as we saw. She's not as serious as her mother but has moments where she's just as cold, calculative, and protective. Because he'd seen this firsthand, part of Alastor feared what she'd do if she found out he was using her. (Un)Luckily for him, she was too heartbroken to seek revenge.
