So, today has been successful, since I managed to get up at a good time since I didn't have my phone yelling at me this morning. And I've been feeling so much better since I found out what has been making me so tired lately last week, I thought there was something wrong with my thyroid, but it turned out to be just a little bit of a Vitamin D deficiency which is pretty normal for the winter since the days are short and I spend as much time indoors as I can since I really don't like the cold. I've been taking a Vitamin D supplement for the last few days and I feel so much better!
Also, I started watching Supernatural today thanks to the recommendation of a few friends ** cough cough, you know who you are** and I'm now thoroughly addicted and I spend the whole day watching it on Netflix. And, yes, i do blame/thank my friends because otherwise I probably would've been watching Mythbusters all day because I like that show and I'm weird. And RuPaul is on tonight so that just makes my day so much better!
And my second most favorite thing about today is that I have mastered my new rice cooker after burning the hell out of two pots of quinoa last week. And this excites me because I love being able to learn how to use pretty much everything in the kitchen, plus good food excites, and again, because I;m weird and get excited over the weirdest things sometimes..
Alright, well, I think that's it for now since I kinda have nothing else to say, but whatever. I just hope that the rest of spring break is as good if not better than today, which I'm sure it will be since I'm gonna start the newest book to one of my favorite series tomorrow! So excited!!!
Rule 2: answer the questions the person who tagged you has written and write at least 11 new ones
Rule 3: tag 11 new people and link them to your post
Not sure if I'm supposed to do these questions, but everyone else seems to be doing them:
1.What is the thing you prefer about yourself? I like that I can laugh at myself and I can see the bright side of just about all situations.
2. What is your favorite word or expression (whatever language)? I tend to go through phases of saying things, but I use precious and precious baby/babies a lot lately. Oh! I also like to use phrases that I pick up from watching RuPaul's drag race a lot. And I like to butcher the English language with words like beautimous and apprecimate.
3.Where do you see yourself in five years? Hopefully in grad school and not living with my parents, hopefully with friends. And doing what I love to do.
4. Do you read manga? Um, sometimes, I just have to find something that catches my interest. So far the only mangas I've read the entire series of is Fruits Basket ans Princess Ai.
5.Where is the furthest you've ever been? I've been to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico to see my dad get remarried.
6. Have you ever had an imaginary friend? Mope, not that I can remember.
7. What is your favorite album this year so far (that you listened to this year, not necessarily released this year)? Um, I have a bunch of music that I've been listening to since the new year, but I have to say that I've been listening to Ke$ha's new album and the Les Mis soundtrack a lot this year. I have no idea what it is about Ke$ha, but she makes me giggle a little every time I listen to a few of her songs.
8.Best TV show started recently? Um, I haven't really started any new shows besides new seasons of shows that I already watch on TV, but I do have a growing list of shows that I need/want to start watching. I guess I could say that my favorite new show is Double Divas on Lifetime, but then again I'm a weirdo and like to watch all sorts of TV.
9. Do you drive? Um, no, but I do have my permit. Driving terrifies me actually, and my friends are awesome and they cart my butt around everywhere we go. I do pay for gas since I feel bad for me not being able to drive. But, I've been told that I am an awesome co-pilot and I wish that I could just be a professional passenger.
10. Do you play an instrument? No, but I do sing.
11. What is the most expensive thing you regret buying? My DSi. I bought it brand new and I've only used it once... and now I want a 3DS.
typicallymessy's questions:
1.What is your favorite fandom/show/media? Well, I'm really in love with A:TLA and I forever will be. I'm also quite in love with just about anything Miyazaki. Oh! and RuPaul's Drag Race, I love me some drag queens! Um, there are lots of others, but those are the two most dominant ones in my mind and I'm sure I'll think of more later.
2.Tell me about a current squish (or past squish if you don't have one). Well, there is this one boy in one of my classes, but I keep getting whatever the female equivalent to cockblocked is. He's adorable and every time he talks in class I smile and call him precious in my head and he's just, umpf. Like I said, I'm a weirdo...
3.Favorite era of American history. well, I'm not too fond of the way people have been treated in the is country since before we even became a country, but I have to say the '90's. Good TV and good real music. Also, the 80'S just for the music.
4. Favorite book. Ah! Why are you making me choose? I can honestly say that I don't have one favorite book, but there are many that I consider my favorites, like Ella Enchanted (I could reread that one all the time), and Pretty much every Stephanie Plum book out, there, and I'm quite fond of a book called Wildwood Dancing. Now that I think of it, my favorite simple book since childhood is and always will be Horton Hears a Who by Dr.Seuss.
5. You are given/ won $50,000. What do you do with it? Well, first off I'd do a happy dance 'cause I just received $50,000! Then I would pay off all my medical bills since I've been in and out of hospitals and doctors' offices since birth and accumulated quite a bit of medical bills that my mother pays off even though it's tough on us sometimes and I feel horrible about it since she works so hard for my brother and me. U, with the leftover money for that, I would probably keep a little of it for myself my brother and my mom and then the rest would go to a down payment for a house so I can get out of where I'm currently living since I hate it here.
6. Favorite weather: My favorite weather is when it's nice and sunny out with a slight breeze during the early summer. Lots of sun and not too hot plus no humidity. Basically a good day to go to the beach or do color guard outside.
7. Favorite subject(s) in school and why? Well, for me, basically any English class you stick me in i will love since it's kinda my thing and I love to read and write. Also, ASL because it is so fun and cool and I love being able to communicate with people in more than one way.
8. If money weren't a problem, what do you want to do with the rest of your life. I want all the details (number of children if any, live close to parent(s)). Everything. First of all that would be so amazing! i would definitely go to Pastry school for sure so I can refine my skills and open up that bakery/ bookstore that I dream of having one day, Kupcake's Korner. On top of that, I would coach a color guard with a couple of good friends of mine and we already have winter shows planned. I would have a TSK house (a house for me and my closest friends to all live together in) I will have the wedding of my dream, if I get married that is. Basically, I want to have a dress with miles of poofy tulle and bling plus there's probably gonna be a reception dress with a peacock fan somehow sitting somewhere around my butt area, I don't know where you attach it, but that could change, who knows. I want two or three kids because honestly, I don't think I'll be able to handle more. I want to give my kids what I wasn't able to have while I was growing up, but I will tech them that you have to earn some things by yourself and to be grateful for all you have. I also plan to have a winter home some place warm since I hate the cold, but I love Minnesota. Oh! and hopefully I'll finish my books and get them published. That would be pretty cool. And I would probably live closer to my mom than my dad and his wife since I don't like my stepmonster and I'm pretty sure she feels the same about me...
9. Hogwarts House. what do you see yourself as, and what the tests have said. (if you've taken any) I have not taken any tests, but my friends who have taken the tests and seem pretty well versed in what kind of people are in the houses, have said that I would be a Slytherin or a Gryffindor, which I agree with wholeheartedly. I see myself as either of the houses mentioned above.
10. If money weren't a problem, in which region would you like to live? (world wide) I really do like Minnesota, but I would want to travel. I would have houses all over the world. Most likey there would be one in: Minnesota, Florida, for Disney World of course (I WILL meet Tinkerbell one day), Somewhere in Italy, Probably another one in Europe since Europe just fascinates me for some reason, And I'd like to have a place someplace warm/tropical, but it depends on the humidity since my asthma and humidity don't mix well.
11.Tell me about your mother. Well, even though I complain about her a lot, I do love her. She has been there for me since before she and my dad got divorced( when I was about five) and is always there when I need her. We've had a rough couple of years, but I can always count on her, unlike my dad, who was almost never there for me as a child and seems to choose to be with women instead of his kids... which pisses me off to the nth degree. My mom and I have or ups and downs, but all in all, I do love her, no matter how many arguments we have or how crappy we make each other feel. We've been through a lot and are strong independent women, and I do appreciate everything she has done for me while I was growing up. Plus she's the cool mom and all my friends like her and she likes all my friends and we can do basically whatever we want when we're over at my house like get ready for Rocky Horror Picture Show and stuff like that.

Rule 2: answer the questions the person who tagged you has written and write at least 11 new ones
Rule 3: tag 11 new people and link them to your post
Rule 4: let them know you’ve tagged them
1. What is the thing you prefer about yourself? I like that I keep an open mind.
2. What is your favourite word or expression (whatever language)? I go through phases, right now I like the word Bubbles.
3. Where do you hope to see yourself in five years? Going to graduate school at either U of M and living with friends, but I'm open to almost anything.
4. Do you read manga? Nope. I read a little of Fruits Basket....
5. Where is the furthest from home you’ve ever been? I've been to France. That was pretty cool.
6. Have you ever had an imaginary friend? No. (Sorry if this is kind of boring.)
7. What is your favourite album this year so far (that you listened this year not necessarily released this year)? I love the Goat Rodeo Sessions album.
8. Best TV show started recently? I haven't really started anything recently, but the most recent is Princess Jellyfish or Kuragehime. I watched one episode as recommended by glossophiliqueer, the next day I watched all of the episodes in 5 hours. I like it.
9. Do you drive? I do. A lot of my friends cannot, so a lot of times I feel like a taxis driver, but I love them anyway (LOVEYOU). I don't really like driving.
10. Do you play any instrument? Yes, kind of. I played Sax for 8 years, but I haven't played in like 9 months.
11. What is the most expensive thing you regret buying? I kind of regret buying my new Sax. I bought it (well my parents bought it) with the intention of playing it in college. I didn't join band this year. I joined choir.
glossophiliqueer's questions...
1. Favorite thing(s) to wear? I like to wear a red scarf with gold stitching. I only have one shirt that works with it, though.
2. Fictional characters that you feel either reflect you or that you’d like to befriend? I would love to meet Neville. <3
3. Tell me about a part or scene of a musical that you think is special. "Agony" from Into the Woods is absolutely wonderful. Its a musical about the fairy tales Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Bean Stalk, Cinderella and others. Rapunzel's prince and Cinderella's prince are brothers, and "Agony" is about how infuriating it is not to get what you want. Ironic because they're princes who get anything they want, except the girl. It is hilarious, they are so melodramatic.
4. Do you like kissing? OR tell me about a time you and someone else awkwardly touched by accident. I have never kissed/ been kissed, though it seems incredibly awkward and blech. Awkward touch....you often brush/lay on/touch my boobs... that's not that awkward, and that's all I can think of.
5. Recount an embarrassing event of some kind, or tell me a funny story. I was seriously the most awkward and embarrassing child in elementary school, there are too many to tell. Once in 4th grade the teacher asked if anyone could point out a country on the map, I could and did. However, when the teacher continued to talk about the country I didn't sit down. I stood there smiling in the glow of my ability to point at a map. *facepalm*
6. Have you cried and felt happy at the same time before? Tell me about a time that happened. If it hasn’t then tell me about the earliest time you can remember crying. I cry when I'm happy all the time. When I came home for a week and got to see all my friends, I cried. Many times.
7. Tell me something, anything, you know or find interesting about a language besides English. You know all the languages I know. Everything I've learned from other languages has been from you.
8. What attracts you in a person? Open mind. Quick to smile. Passionate.
9. What do you think of potatoes? HA. Not a big fan.
10. Do you have any particularly strong fondness for something that nobody else seems to like as much? I love calm cloudy days.
11. Tell me about a time you were swept unexpectedly out of a sadness and suddenly felt a total flip of emotions? Whenever I skype/talk in person with you. OMG When Kai sent me a the love song from Adventure Time for my birthday. I was kind of meh, I'm all alone again, and I have homework. But when I opened ier message. AH. That was beautiful.
My questions to you;

3. Favorite era of American history. (If you aren't from America, tell me about your favorite band/genre)
4. Favorite book.
5. You are given/have won $50,000 what do you do with it?
6. Favorite weather.
7.Favorite subject(s) in school and why.
8. If money weren't a problem, what do you want to do with the rest of your life. I want all the details.(number of children if any, live close to parent(s)) Every thing.
9. Hogwarts House. What you see yourself as, and what the tests have said. (if you've taken any).
10. If money weren't a problem, in which city or region would like to live? (world wide)
My first week of school was so awesome! I had no idea what to expect since I didn't go to college like everyone expected me to, but I think it went pretty well. First off, I have only four classes, so I can only hope that my workload isn't too much, but whatever happens, happens. I have Interpersonal Communications and Introduction to Literature and am like living for my intro to lit class, I love it so much and I love the way that class runs. IPCOMM is pretty cool too, and I've already learned some about the way we communicate and it is so interesting. I'm taking American Sign Language this semester too and it is so interesting to just learned to sign and the origin of the signs and the teacher is so amazing! My Psychology of Gender class is also pretty interesting, but I've only had one class of that. I'm thinking this semester is gonna be pretty awesome!
So, this weekend, I went to Fargo to visit some friends that go to school there and I had a great time. It was a little chilly, but I think I managed to survive. It was pretty awesome. I was driving up with glossophiliqueer, and it was an awesome ride. So, on Friday, when we went up, it was typicallymessy's birthday, so I was super excited that I got to see her on her birthday! Then we went out for dinner with spanishcherryblossom and a few other people(my other friend that came up from the city and a couple people that I hadn't met before and they were awesome!) and had a pretty fun time at the restuarant. Then we went and hung out fore the rest of the night playing Dicecapades and had a great time with everyone there. The next day we all went shopping and had a great time! I got some super awesome Fiona and Cake socks! Psst, I'm wearing the Fiona ones right now. Then we went out for dinner again to celebrate typicallymessy's birthday with her amazing family and we had some really awesome Thai food. Oh, and later that night I found out that I'm not super weird for not being able to stand bell peppers, it has something to do with my palette. And then today, on the way home, I got to visit my hair guy and got my hair done! It's so pretty, and I can't believe that i got it cut as short as I did, but I love it and I love the color so much!
More awesome news! Another of my best friends might be coming to visit tomorrow, and it's her birthday so that means I'll get to see her for that, and I'm so excited that I finally get to see her after what seems like forever. And, my aunt that has only been to MN twice or so is coming up for a few days for a work thing, but she is coming over for dinner tomorrow and I'm so excited to see her since I only get to see her two or three times a year! Hopefully this week will be just as great as last week! :D
