Chapter 1: Lurk
You awaken in a daze, dimmed lights of a red hue pulsating above you. You immediately recognize the room as the med-bay of the ship you worked on, but beyond that, you can't seem to recall more information. As you stumble off the medical bed, the room seems to fill gaps in your memory. Yes, you came in here feeling sick from nightmares the night before. The medical chief offered to try a new medicine on you, and it knocked you out.
But what happened while you were out? There was no hum of energy from the engines, and the red lighting signified lockdown. The only way off the ship was to deactivate it, in the cockpit. Well, atleast you have a goal now.
There are two doors in the med-bay, one to the outside hallway and the other to the morgue next door. Which do you choose?
Oh my god Squirrels.
Are you trying to get the character killed and make me laugh.
I'm working on the next post now!
Wake up. Now.
Nobody ever told you what it'd feel like to be dead.
To swim around in that dark place.
Of course, maybe that's because nobody ever expected you to wake up from being dead. But that's exactly what you just did. First off, your vision isn't exactly 20/20 upon resurrection, and every seems dim at first before becoming aware that you're on what appears to be a storage level of a space ship. You get the feeling you worked on this vessel before, of course you can't be sure though. Your memory is a bit... fuzzy right now, to say the least.
Slowly but surely your vision returns enough to see your surroundings a bit more clearly. There are boxes stacked to the ceiling, though some you could easily get to and open. The sole light in the room hangs from some shit wiring. I mean really, you could do a better job than th-
"Hello there."
What the fuck?
"It would be nice of you to join me over here. It's safe and warm, and you can even talk. You will just have to push a button."
Yes, of course, disembodied voice. You would love to chat with it. Actually. Would you? You look around again, and find the voice to most likely come from a black panel in the wall. An intercom, you believe.
Of course, next to it is a slightly open door. You think you could squeeze through, or see if there's anything in the boxes to open it more.
So, what are you going to do, eh?
