yooo I’m finally making a speech & debate blog after five years of this madness. here are some fun facts about me!

- I started in high school NSDA tournaments and did... pretty much only impromptu

- I’m mostly self taught from YouTube videos and also getting destroyed at tournaments my first year, then rallying and learning from everyone better than me that had coaches

- I went to state my junior year of high school for impromptu

- I swore up down and sideways I’d NEVER be a debater...

- then I started competing again my sophomore year of college, and picked impromptu back up

- my coach decided I ought to give debate a try, so he tossed me in IPDA for the first time at nationals!

- I went to phi rho pi this year for impromptu and IPDA and went double gold (yeah babey!)

- I’m going in to my junior year and trying to pick up 6 events for the regular season (4 IEs + IPDA + parli)

JUST WANTED TO UPDATE YOU THAT I WAS OFFERED AND ACCEPTED MY FIRST FULL-TIME JOB AS A SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST!!!! I am so beyond thrilled to start this journey, and honestly, genuinely, wholeheartedly could not have done this without you. You have been my guiding light throughout 6 years of school and working many part-time jobs just to get by. You’ve inspired me to follow my dreams... and I’ve had this dream since I was 16! The pride I have for accomplishing this is unreal, and I owe it all to you 💕 I hope I get the chance at one of the Gillette Stadium shows to tell you in person just how important you’ve been in my life!! (7/28 I’ll be in section A7, row 11, seats 21-22 if you wanna come say hey! 🤗)
