Eye Opener - Powder

This powder is more of a persuasion powder I made. It can be used for the self or within spellwork. Carry it with you to help you open your eyes to certain situations and see through deception. Use within spellwork to make someone open their eyes to toxic situations and with the added ingredients a boost to help heal from the situation.

Some of these ingredients have traditional meanings like Rosemary and others are my UPG of what felt right to use. You may swap out what feels more right for you but this is a basic recipe.

Items 

Rosemary - Mental clarity and growth

Peppermint - Awareness

Sage - Opening eyes, wisdom

Dill - Mental clarity

Garlic - Inner strength

Oregano- Healing

Lemon peel - Mental clarity

Thyme - Healing

Mortar and pestle 

(Alternative) Small electric grinder 

Jar to keep powder in

Instructions 

Cleanse items

Speak your intentions into the herbs and direct them to what their job will be

Grind them together

You have the option here to say whatever blessing or chant you’d like to use while you are grinding the herbs to add extra oomph

Place items in chosen cleansed and clean container

Ta da you are finished! You may place this on your altar with a lit white candle to help give it more power or place it on a deity altar to help bless it.

Now the fun part about powders is you can wear them like a body powder, use them in candle spells, sprinkle in your room (be weary when you live with pets) and use them in baths.

Created some magical powders today ✨One for hearth and home comfort, one for calming racing thoughts and one for Brigid.

It’s been a while since a made anything to keep in hand for regular use. My usual m.o is make what I need when I need it. But lately my mental health has been.... bad. And it’s not likely that I’d have the spoons to make these things when I feel I need them.

It feels kind of nice to have some things ready to use

Solar Banishing Powder

This is just a simple spell powder I put together to deal with some particularly unruly spirits around me. These ones are particularly associated with the night, so I added some solar herbs into the mix to be more effective against these spirits in particular. Ingredients are listed below!

Cloves (I used 9, because it’s a particularly useful number, but use a number that speaks to you!)

Associated with protection and healing. This is used to keep you safe from the spirit or person you are banishing.

Black pepper (peppercorns are ideal, but precracked will work in a pinch)

Also a protective presence. Used in many warding spells.

Onion powder

Historically used for banishing unwanted figures, and to keep them from returning.

Garlic powder

Historically used to ward off evil spirits, as well as to break spells already cast.

Cayenne Pepper

Used to remove obstacles and to ward against evil spirits.

Cumin

Used to protect against spirits and keep away bad luck.

Black salt

Banishing energy; absorbs negative vibrations

Turmeric

Invokes solar energy

Rosemary

Invokes solar energy; often used for protection

Paprika

Used to increase the power of other spell ingredients

Most of these ingredients are additionally associated with the element of Fire, along with the planet Mars. Use this powder to keep away particularly dark people or spirits, as well as to invoke solar energy in the absence. To use, sprinkle around an area, put into spell jars/sachets, or use in any way that feels appropriate to you.

Aphrodite Powder

Aphrodite powder aka love powder! this can be used to attract all kinds of love into your life(mostly romantic, platonic and self) or used as an offering to a love based deity. this powder can and will not be able to use to force someone to love you.

anyway, heres what you need; something to grind your ingredients together, dried rose petals, pink powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon, gold and silver glitter(optional but pretty), rose/strawberry incense or any love corresponding incense, dried aloe vera stalk or leaf, rose quartz(optional), selenite(optional), labarodite(optional), a seashell(optional but recommended) and jade(optional)

first, mix your powders together first then add the rose petals+aloe vera stalk

second, youll need to crush your incense into the mix. be careful, youre hands will smell after this.

place your newly made powder in a jar or whatever you want and surround it with your crystals and seashell. if you chose not to use crystals, simply place your container in the moonlight to charge it. or do both idk mix it up.

after all that, youre done! boom! powder! yay! use it however you want idc

Aphrodite Self Love Powder

This is a powder I came up with one day communicating with Lady Aphrodite. Has been written in my grimoire for awhile and I finally decided to share.

If you are feeling a bit down about yourself or if you need some oomph in your day to add some extra self love I have an powder for you. Feel free to swap out any ingredients for what feels right! This is just my personal recipe.

  Ingredients:

Container/Jar

Dried Lavender (Love, peace and tranquility)

Himalayan Pink Salt (Self love, purification)  

Nutmeg (Protection)

Rose Petals (Love, healing)

Coco (Love, comfort)

1. Speak your intentions into the ingredients and cleanse the jar

2. Grind all of the ingredients together with a mortar and pestle

3. Keep grinding until it’s a powder

4. Once you are satisfied with the finished result, pour it into whatever container you have.

5. If you have an Aphrodite altar place on or next to it and charge

6. Send a small prayer and an offering in thanks
