30 Days 30 Lines Challenge: Day 7

Adhara finally realized why this place gave her the creeps

There was no hum of machines or electricity that filled the silences like at home.

There were no rumbling engines of cars or silent whirring of hoverboards flying by.

There wasn't even the sounds of life that had bombarded her on the surface of this odd planet.

It was just…silent.

And yet it was so loud.

She didn't know that silence could be this loud.

Spexa Snippet 4: Worry

A snippet I just wrote! Sorry for any typos, I didn't really proof read

After ten minutes of walking and seeing nothing, Adhara was beginning to have doubts about this corridor. 

Maybe it would’ve been better to stay back in the cavern, mission has to have control sent a rescue team to come get us. 

That thought was supposed to make Adhara feel better, but it didn't

It took them three days to get here. Meaning it would take three days at least for a rescue team to get here if they rushed. Five if they took their time. 

So, worst case scenario, five days.

That would mean if they couldn’t find the ship or a way out of this place, it would be five days without food and water.

At the mention of food her stomach lets out a tiny rumble, and Adhara sighs.

Why didn't I eat something before leaving the ship?

With her good hand she fiddles with the strap of her backpack nervously.

Wait! The backpack!

She has emergency rations in her bag. Two protein bars and a canteen of water.

Can I... somehow stretch that to last five days? 

She didn’t know.

First and Last Lines Tag

So, this shall be from my wip SPEXA because it is the only thing I can productively work on right now

First Line :

A dull gray spaceship was seated snugly in the corner of a busy deployment room, its ramp already lowered. Other spaceships of the same kind lined up in rows next to and across from it. Adhara looks up to this particular ship in disdain and clicks her teeth.

Last Line:

Finally, after 30 minutes of flying she finds a break in between the forests that provides just enough space for her to properly land the ship. She does so with relative ease, only backing into one tree the entire park job.

🍀 which OCs would get along the best?

Ok, so I have a bunch of OCs that I feel get along the absolute best, so I'll do my favorites from all my WIPs:

Adhara and Jaxon- Even before Jaxon got emotions Adhara already saw him as her android bff. Like everyone kinda treats androids like servants, but this not this girl! This stems from the fact that Adhara didn't have close friends growing up. Like her older brother Virgil was the popular one, and she was just Virgil's younger sister, so when Jaxon was assigned to her she just got attached to him. (WIP: The Space Exploration Association)

Shelbee and Uri- Here we have a hurt bean doing her best in the world for her and her brother and a ball of absolute sunshine who brightens her day every time they step in the room. These two got off to a rocky start in the beginning due to Shelbee's mistrust of people from the Capitol, but overtime Uri just weaseled their way into her heart. (In the Shadow of the Outlands)

Candy and Tyrell- Bruh these two are... chaos to put it simply. One is the team mom tired of everyone's shit (but secretly loves it) and one is the team gremlin who does the absolute most sometimes. They get along very well and it's no wonder they got put on the same team. (WIP: Spectre)

Alex and Skylar- These two have been best friends since childhood. Grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same elementary, middle, and highschool. Almost followed each other to college. Then ended up working at the same preschool. What else is there to say? These two just click with each other. (WIP: A is for Asteroid)

(Just realized this asked which oc's WOULD get along the best, but I wrote so much that I refuse to change it now.)

🥀 go off about a villain OC

Ok, so this is the villain I have for The Space Exploration Association. She doesn't have a name yet, but she is a BAD ASS. Like fought in multiple revolutions for the sake of her people's freedom. Rose the ranks until she became leader of her entire planet. Has a cool ass scar on her face. Will torture and vaporize you if you disrespect her. I honestly fear for my protagonists. (also yes she does sit on a cool looking throne)

Synopsis: 

The Space Exploration Association commonly referred to as SPEXA is dedicated to the advancement of intergalactic travel and space exploration. Following in her older brother's footsteps Adhara, along with her android partner Jax, had become one of the newest recruits at the organization. Their first mission? Explore a planet designated to them by the higher ups and report back their findings. Seems simple enough. But when the two stumble across something they weren’t supposed to, it ends up dragging Earth and all its colonies into an intergalactic showdown that they weren't quite prepared for. Oops.

Daily Snippet # 9

From my WIP The Space Exploration Association

“Mission support would just send us back home! No way am I returning home on my first mission empty-handed.”

Adhara catches a flash of annoyance on Jax’s face, before his neutral expression returns.

“Better to return empty-handed than dead.”

Adhara falls silent as he says this, the weight of his words hitting her fully.

“I-” She doesn't know how to respond to that. He's right and she knows it. But, she looks back at the temple, she wants to know what was in there. Like she really wants to

It was...weird.

Maybe it would be better to just leave
