My tarantula is molting and it scared the shit out of me but I can confirm she is not doing the death curl so wish her luck!

It is only her second molt with me and the first time she molted I had been on vacation, and was very distraught upon returning home and seeing what we thought was my sweet buggy dead.

AVRIL MOLTED !!! im so proud of my girl!! u can see her exoskeleton inside the pumpkin, haha sorry i couldnt get a clearer pic

this was such a stressful period for me bc it was my first time ever having to handle a spider molt, and during her pre-molt phase at one point her enclosure got overrun by ants and it was super scary. but she's young and strong so she turned out okay after all !!

Lolly is so big now 🥺 once she’s had time to recover from her molt i have a big new terrarium for her !

sorry if this is a little freaky or icky but i’m always so fascinated by the molts, I’ve never handled my tarantulas so getting to see Lolly’s anatomy up close is so cool. You can also get a better idea of just how BIG she got lol
