guys we need to talk more about spider-harry because everyday i remember he canonically exists also speaking of canon his canon event would definitely be losing the love of his life peter

also it should be norman (green goblin) who kills him. and distraught and enraged, harry ends up accidentally killing him in retaliation because more angst.

bonus angst if harry doesn't know his father was the goblin and he can't even comprehend what he's done and in his dying moments norman just mocks him. taunting him, telling him he truly is his fathers son. and harry just stands there, between the deceased bodies of his boyfriend best friend and father, with both their blood (quite literally) being on his hands.

summary: after the tragic death of his uncle, peter isn't handling it so well. with his desire to exact revenge on the man who killed him gr

basically it's a roleswap au, while most of the events in canon take place (aka, the lizard fight + electro) peter and harry switch places as spider-man and the green goblin.

harry comes back from europe earlier. and in this norman ended up hijacking richard's experiment with the spiders, ensuring that only his bloodline would be able to use the venom. but due to the disease already having ravaged so much of him internally the venom didn't work on him and had zero effect.

he dies before he witnesses harry surface as spider-man.

harry doesn't become a hero at first. but after losing his friend, felica to crime he realises this sort of thing could happen to anyone. peter too. and so he becomes a vigilante known as spider-man to save nyc and ensure his friends safety.

peter on the other hand, after uncle ben's death starts to spiral down a dark path. this just after he ends up unknowingly giving connor's the lizard formula, he realises that, among ben's death is something else he blames himself for. for a month afterwards he spirals further and further, all while still by some miracle maintaining his friendship with harry (whom he has a crush on). until one day he ultimately snaps and decides to take matters into his own hands.

and this is where this oneshot takes place. with peter sneaking back into oscorp and stealing the last of the spider venom to give himself powers like spider-man. except, since norman made it so that only his bloodline could test it's abilities it changes peter into what it changed harry into in canon.

I disagree. Louis is definitely Spider-Man.

I mean I could see Louis as Spiderman or Deadpool, but Harry just couldnt be Deadpool. Harry is more of the do good, not wanting to hurt people kind of person. He rather just save people and catch the bad guy, whereas Deadpool will kill ruthlessly in order to protect his loved ones or get something he wants. Deadpool also has a great sense of humor even after being tortured in order to get rid of his cancer. I feel like that fits Louis’ personality so much more than Harry’s ever would. Louis, I also think would have a fucked up kind of humor and do things like cutting off his arm in order to get out of a situation he didn’t want to be in. If Harry had powers I think he would be more likely to define himself as a superhero than Louis would. Never in one million years could I ever see Harry as deadpool.

Ive been wanting to get this off my chest for a while now. But if between Harry and Louis, if someone has to be Deadpool and someone has to be Spiderman, Harry is definitely not Deadpool. Louis would be Deadpool and Harry would be Spiderman. Sorry, not sorry.
